Gen 3 Kabutops - Ubers - WIP

[OVERVIEW]

Kabutops's niche in the ADV Ubers metagame is as one of the four Swift Swim sweepers in the tier, alongside Ludicolo, Omastar and Kingdra. What differentiates it from the other sweepers is that is is a physical attacker, meaning that standard checks to the rainsetter Kyogre, like Latias, Latios, Blissey and Snorlax will likely be unable to check it after a barrage from Kabutops, due to their physical frailty. Another boon it has is Rapid Spin, which allows the teams Kabutops is on to be relieved of pressure from Spikes. However, due to ADV's type based attacking system, it cannot viably use a rain-boosted Water-type STAB move. It's also near free entry for Groudon who removes Kabutops's Swift Swim with its Drought due to its great physical bulk and resistance to its Rock STAB.

Set Description
=========

Rock Slide is a strong STAB move. In tandem with the Speed boost from Swift Swim, the Attack boost from Choice Band and the move's 30% flinch rate, it forces the opposing team's to send in a teammate resistant to Rock-type moves. Double-Edge will dent those resists if they're not a Steel-type while retaining the strong hit on Kabutops's main targets. Brick Break breaks down Steel-types who resist both Rock and Normal-type moves, like Metagross and Jirachi. Blissey, who can take a Rock Slide in a pinch, fold to Brick Break; it is OHKOed by Brick Brick after 3 layers of Spikes. Rapid Spin relieves Kabutops’s team of hazards, but Hidden Power Ground can be used to create the dangerous QuakeSlide combination, which allows neutral coverage on nearly the entire metagame.

Maximum Attack investment is obvious for a Choice Band set, while the Speed is enough to outpace Deoxys-A in rain. The remaining EVs are out into HP.
Team Options
========
Rain is key to having Kabutops outspeed the entire metagame. As such, Kyogre is a required partner for any set, as its ability Drizzle sets up permanent rain. Both Kyogre and Kabutops struggle with Groudon, who has Drought to remove rain, and a strong STAB Earthquake which neither want to take. One of Latias or Latios will also be a necessity; both check Groudon (and opposing Kyogre), but Latias is bulkier and can take lots of hits over the course of a game, while Latios is much more stronger and can dish out lots of damage for Kabutops to take over a game.
