Just heard about Shoddy Battle. Wondering a few things

Hey guys, just heard about this a week or 2 ago and have a few questions. 1st, we already have NetBattle and as far as I know it's fine with no problems, except maybe the registry being down almost every time I check. So why make another program when we have NetBattle?

Also what's better about Shoddy Battle? I've only tried it for maybe 5 minutes but NetBattle seems better because it explains what all the attacks and items and traits do. Otherwise they seem the same from the little I've seen.

One last thing, why'd ya pick the name Shoddy Battle? Shoddy means something doesn't work right. lol

You seem to be confused about the timeline. Shoddy Battle has been around two years now. It predates any other fully functional singles DP simulator by a long time. Moreover, it's free as in freedom--the source code is there for the whole community to study, review, and contribute to.

The name is intended to be humourous.
