Recently, someone has been turning heads in the Tournament forums as someone who came out of no where and happened to be in the right tournament at the right time.

Despite joining the forum mere months ago and having a post count in the single digits, the user Style has become an instant celebrity among the Smogon tournament community for her jawdropping performance in OST so far, not just winning games, but apparently massacring several veteran tournament players.

Some now have gone as far as predicting that Style will win the entire tournament based on only her four OST games so far.

Initially, it was speculated that Style was someone else's alt (a Masterclass alt being a popular theory), but the Tournament Directors verified Style's authenticity and the upstart Smogon amateur has been given continued support for her explosive OST run.

Style has agreed to do it, and I think an interview with her about her history with Pokemon in general, how she came across Smogon, her thoughts about the reaction to her success, and her methods for winning will be a lot of fun and something many will want to see.

We already have an interview lined up for Issue #1, but we might be able to still do this, but put it int Issue #2.

If Style's cool with it, so are we. Issue #1 works better Redew, though just a head's up to Darkerones: writing deadline is Sunday, March 15th. You'll probably want to get the interview itself done earlier so you can trim out fluff if necessary and add in the flavor text.

Try to keep the focus of the article on OST, tough opponents, how Style prepared for the tour, thoughts on potential later-round opponents, and her background with battling. You can probably touch on some personal stuff, but keep that brief. If deadline is going to be an issue, let us know before committing to the interview so we can push it back to next issue (depending on how Style does in the next 2 weeks or so).

If you're comfortable with getting this done within a week, pick a Pokemon that you'd like to use as an interview avatar (and find out what Style would like) so we can get an artist working on them ASAP. Art takes a bit of time, so the sooner we find out, the easier it will be on them. Just confirm that you can get it done this week before we find someone who can put in the time for that.

I'll add you to The Press Box (subforum of The Competitor where all the writing / editing work is done) once you've confirmed. Just post up a thread and mark it as WIP once you're in. Obviously, don't leak any of the contents of the forum :P

I'll probably need this pushed then because Style said she'd be more comfortable answering questions next week when she's on Spring break.
