Arceus-Electric's typing and bulk offer it two main niches. The first is that it's the only Ice Scales Arceus forme that doesn't fold to Tera Flying Rayquaza, which 2HKOes all other Arceus formes with Collision Course or Extreme Speed. The other is that, with Calm Mind and STAB on Thunder Cage, it will almost always beat opposing Calm Mind Arceus formes one-on-one. Calm Mind offers the aforementioned benefits against opposing Arceus and some extra security against Flare Boost Flutter Mane, whereas Judgment OHKOes non-Terastallized Rayquaza, prevents Groudon and Assault Vest-less Ting-Lu from switching in safely, and allows Arceus-Electric to sponge Knock Off. Mortal Spin provides entry hazard removal and also dissuades Imposter users from switching in due to poison, with Covert Cloak preventing said Imposter user from poisoning Arceus-Electric. Alternatively, Toxic threatens Covert Cloak users and inflicts toxic poison, but sacrifices hazard removal and means Arceus-Electric now needs to switch out against Imposter users. Strength Sap provides higher healing against most RegenVest users, but falters against most special attackers and Chansey. Arceus-Electric's main flaw is that, outside of Rayquaza, its typing doesn't offer many useful resistances; it can thus occasionally be overwhelmed by Choice Specs attackers like Flutter Mane and Eternatus, provided they have Spikes support. As such, hazard removal from the likes of Tidy Up Groudon or Mortal Spin users like Ting-Lu is recommended. Arceus-Electric also can't check Headlong Rush Enamorus and Rayquaza, as well as Arceus-Ground, so Corviknight is a useful teammate. Imposter-proof Arceus-Electric with a Ground-type that can withstand Mortal Spin, like Ting-Lu or Covert Cloak Groudon, as Arceus-Electric can poison Imposter users but will rarely beat them by itself. Tera Steel offers an immunity to Toxic and Mortal Spin, as well as helps Arceus-Electric better handle Flutter Mane, Iron Bundle, Palkia-O, and Eternatus.
