Welcome to the first edition of The GSC Homefield Advantage. Players will sign up with a tier of their choice for a Bo3 single-elimination tournament, with the first game locked to GSC OU. The loser of that game will then play their opponent in the tier they signed up with immediately, giving them a homefield advantage. The host of this tournament is cherryb0ng, do not hesitate if you have any questions.
Tournament-Specific Rules
The home player can choose from one of the following tiers to be played: GSC UBERS, GSC UU, GSC NU, GSC PU**, and GSC ZU**. Your tier of choice is locked starting from round 1, meaning you cannot change it from round to round, make sure to choose wisely!
- This tournament will be Swiss Format. Players will be required to play for about 4 weeks.
- All rounds will be Best of Three. You may switch teams in between battles of the same set.
- Matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown!, preferably on the smogtours server.
- General tournament rules and clauses apply.
- Smogon-Wide Clauses still apply.
- REPLAYS ARE REQUIRED IN ALL ROUNDS
- Any tier changes that occur after this post will not affect this tournament.
Standard Rules and Clauses
- Species Clause: A player cannot have two Pokemon with the same PokeDex number on his team.
- Evasion Clause: The moves Double Team and Minimize are banned. (No other evasion boosting things are banned).
- OHKO Clause: The moves Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, and Fissure are banned.
- Endless Battle Clause: Anything capable of intentionally creating an endless battle is banned.

- Freeze Clause
*GSC OU will not be selectable, as it is already compulsory to play in each round.
**GSC PU and ZU are to be played in the GSC NU format with the appropriate roster of pokemon for their respective tiers. The official vr's will show which pokemon are available.
