TEAM GRANNY PIE

Araquanid (Caesar A. Zeppeli) [Male]
WIP
Types: Bug/Water
Bug: STAB; Adds an additional guaranteed attack on all Variable Hit moves with a total hit cap of five (5).
Water: STAB; Ignores arena restrictions on Water attacks that require an external water source, except Dive. Evasive Diving reduced from 6 per action Energy Cost to 5 per action.
Abilities:
Water Bubble (Passive) This Pokémon is protected by a bubble of water which makes it immune to the Burn status and shifts Fire-type moves to their next level of resistance (e.g. ×2 -> ×1, ×1 -> ×0.5). Furthermore, the bubble helps strengthen its Water-type attacks, doubling their BAP.
Water Absorb (Passive) (Hidden) (Unlocked) This Pokemon absorbs water attacks and instead of taking damage from them, recovering 50% of the damage the water attack would have done.

Electric: STAB; immune to paralysis status.
Abilities:
Compoundeyes (Passive) This Pokemon's complex eyes give it a comprehensive view of the field, making its attack 30% (x1.3) more accurate.
Unnerve (Passive) The Pokemon's presense causes immense tension in the opponent, preventing them from eating a held Berry. Natural Gift may still be used.
Swarm (Passive) (Hidden) (Locked) When this Pokemon's HP is lower than 33% (flat), the Base Attack Power of any Bug-typed attack is increased by 3. (eg Silver Wind goes from 6 to 9, X-Scissor from 8 to 11)

Poison: STAB; immunity to Poison/Toxic status. Absorb Toxic Spikes on switch-in unless Flying-typed or using the ability Levitate. -- Accuracy when using Toxic, Poison Gas, or Poison Powder, hitting even during Dig, Fly, etc. Ignore Fog's accuracy reduction. Store Command.
Store Command: For the next six (6) actions, this Pokemon's moves will have their poison / toxic effect chance double. Command Type: Type Exclusive | Accuracy: -- | Energy Cost: 5 | Priority: 0 | CT: None
Abilities:
Swarm (Passive) When this Pokemon's HP is lower than 33% (flat), the Base Attack Power of any Bug-typed attack is increased by 3. (eg Silver Wind goes from 6 to 9, X-Scissor from 8 to 11)
Insomnia (Passive) This Pokemon is immune to sleep induced by other Pokemon. Its normal state of sleeplessness makes it take 1 less damage and energy/action from Ghost Curse. If it is put to sleep by a Pokemon with Mold Breaker, it will wake up the next action. If a Pokemon with Insomnia also has Vital Spirit, its Attack and BRT are increased by one (1) Rank and its accuracy is raised by one (1) stage permanently.
Sniper (Passive) (Hidden) (Locked) This Pokemon has deadly accuracy and strikes sensitive points, increasing its critical hit bonus from +3 to +6 on single attacks, +2 to +3 on two-hit attacks, and +1 to +2 on multi-hit attacks.

TEAM P2X7

Cawmodore [Gilligan] (M)
Nature: Hasty (+15% Speed, +21% Accuracy, -1 Def)
Type: Steel / Flying
Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type moves and Poison/Toxic Status.
Flying: Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks and the Arena Trap Ability except under the effects of Smack Down and Gravity, even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Will always hit foes with with Dig (except other Flying-types) and Dive. Cannot be hit by Dive unless the attacking Pokemon has a Size Class greater than four (4). Unaffected by Spikes or Toxic Spikes when switching in. Able to hit Pokemon in the evasive stage of Bounce, Fly, or Sky Drop with single target moves that hit Pokemon on the field regardless of position.

Abilities:

Intimidate: (Trigger) When this Pokemon initially goes out into the battlefield, it generates an intimidating roar or war cry that shakes all opponents on the battlefield, reducing their Attack stage by one (1). The attack drop is maintained at the end of each round. If an opponent sends in a new Pokemon, Intimidate can be activated again as a command.
Volt Absorb: (Passive) This Pokemon absorbs all electrical attacks and instead of taking damage, recovers 50% of the damage an electrical attack would have done. A Pokemon that attacks itself with electricity to heal only receives 25% of the damage that attack would do to itself.
Big Pecks (HA Unlocked): (Passive) This Pokemon's sturdy wings prevent its Defense from being lowered. The rate its natural Defense drops after a boost is also halved from one every round to once every two (2) rounds.

Meanwhile, P2X7 has brought a fearsome flock of flying fighters (not Hawlucha, though!) Hippowdon balances out this team of wacky birds by providing an excellent physical wall that completely counters two of Granny's choices! The horror!

With the short introductions aside, let's get this show on the road:
Granny Pie sends out their first Pokemon and equips an item.
P2X7 sends out their first Pokemon, equips an item, and orders.
Granny Pie orders.
The battle begins!

Sending out Joseph Joestar the Galvantula with an EXP Share!

Guess~ who?
What gives, fellas? I finally make it to Smogon, and nobody was there to pick me up! Then, I got word you were all at a battle... So I decided to crash it!

~ROUND 1~
"For my first royal decree, I name myself sole commentator of this match!"
"What? That's not fair at all! The BBP League is a purely democratic process!"
"Not anymore! Guards! Execute her!"
"Your Honeyness."
"This is a Pokemon battle, not a cheapo PokeStar Studios flick!"
Joseph Joestar (who I'm just going to be calling JoJo for short, it seems fitting) twitches on his side of the field, contemplating his position against the behemoth Hippowdon on the other side. On one hand, speed. On the other hand...everything else. Let's just hope it doesn't get too gruesome.

Before the battle even begins, the arena is consumed in a raging Sandstorm thanks to Hippowdon's Sand Stream ability! JoJo skitters about, collecting natural energy from the arena into a dizzying Energy Ball that collides with Hippowdon for solid damage! The hippo retaliates by slamming the side of the arena, causing a Rock Slide to tumble down and crush the Galvantula! JoJo may be fast, but Hippowdon's power is nothing to sneeze at!

With the distance closed and the sand being coarse, rough, and irritating, JoJo really only has one option: survive. To do so, he dashes behind Hippowdon and saps his energy with Giga Drain, restoring some HP in the process. It's not much, but every bit counts! Unfortunately, getting in close turned out to be a bad decision, and Hippowdon easily shapes the fallen rubble from before into a mighty Stone Edge to piece JoJo!

Still on the defensive, JoJo tries to evacuate in any way he can, and fires another Energy Ball to cover his tracks. The attack hits, but not without recourse; no Pokemon knows a sandstorm better than Hippowdon, after all. With JoJo in his clutches yet again, sparks fly from Hippowdon's gaping maw, and a bone-crushing critical Fire Fang chomps down on the Galvantula. After shaking the spider around for a while, the hippo spits him out and assumes a fighting stance once more.

Huge incoming damage from Sand Force-boosted attacks, as well as the residual damage of the sandstorm, really brought JoJo down a few notches. He's certainly not out of the battle just yet, as that Giga Drain turned out to be crucial, but Granny Pie is going to have to pull out a miracle to win this matchup.

~ROUND 2~
"Our two combatants are seemingly neck in neck! How exciting!"
"Your Honeyness, be careful of the sandstorm."
"Not to worry, dear Mordred! This commentator box is heavily insulated."
"Not all Pokemon have Overcoat like me."
"Indubitably! Though, that gives me more concern for poor Galvantula here..."
Damn that Combee for organizing that coup and keeping me locked up in the basement...anyway, we have a match to get back to! The sandstorm is still raging, and little JoJo doesn't really have any counterplay. With HP numbers dwindling, passive damage like this sandstorm will be the deciding factor.

Mustering up all of the natural energy he can, JoJo fires an Energy Ball towards Hippowdon, which collides with the beast for a good chunk of damage. Hippowdon retaliates by shaping more of the stones around his opponent into sharp blades, delivering near lethal damage with Stone Edge!

By now, I'm sure we all know what P2X7 tried to get across with their orders. Hippowdon Protects itself, forcing out Galvantula's substitution. JoJo uses Sticky Web to cover the ground, a fine move on its own, if you forget that the rest of P2X7's team is Flying-types. Regardless, the hazard is set, and JoJo passes out not long after, the residual damage from the sandstorm finally taking him.

P2X7 managed to hold onto Hippowdon for an extra round, and all that it took was Sticky Web. The initiative now, however, goes to Granny Pie, who has to replace their KO'd Pokemon.

IF Farfetch'd is to use a damaging Flying-type combo AND you did NOT use Protect last action, THEN use Protect and restart queue.
