Resource Gen 8 1v1 Set Compendium

Idk where the thing is on discord so I'll just post it here, I'd like to submit this porygon2 set:
https://pokepast.es/107a0bb2422c7851

Speed is the slowest possible while still outspeeding 252 speed adamant avalugg by one point. HP+spdef lets you live a porygon-z specs non-modest hyper beam. 0 spa with modest allows you to OHKO kartana and porygon-z with an analytic boosted hyper beam. Rest of the ev's are just dumped into HP and then defense. Shadow ball lets you beat sub+disable dragapult. Recover lets you stall out things like wp zarude and wp zygarde and wear them down with hyper beams.

+2 136 Atk Zygarde Thousand Arrows vs. 236 HP / 148 Def Eviolite Porygon2: 138-163 (37.2 - 44%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
136 Atk Zygarde Skitter Smack vs. 236 HP / 148 Def Eviolite Porygon2: 36-43 (9.7 - 11.6%) -- possible 9HKO
(44*2+11.6)=99.6%
252 SpA Choice Specs Adaptability Porygon-Z Hyper Beam vs. 236 HP / 112 SpD Eviolite Porygon2: 312-368 (84.3 - 99.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
12+ SpA Analytic Porygon2 Hyper Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Dracozolt: 325-384 (101.2 - 119.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
12+ SpA Analytic Porygon2 Hyper Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Porygon-Z: 306-361 (98.3 - 116%) -- guaranteed OHKO

This set's advantages over the eerie impulse stall set is beating stuff like sub+disable dragapult, most porygon-z, and avalugg, amongst other things.

Speed is the slowest possible while still outspeeding 252 speed adamant avalugg by one point. HP+defense lets you live skitter smack + 2 thousand arrows from the WP zygarde set on the compendium. HP+spdef lets you live a porygon-z specs non-modest hyper beam. Rest EV's and nature are put into spa for maximum damage output. EV's are most optimized I could get them. Analytic lets you get free OHKO's with hyper beam on stuff like porygon-z(mostly) and dracozolt.

-1 12+ SpA Porygon2 Ice Beam vs. 248 HP / 124+ SpD Zygarde: 168-200 (40 - 47.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
-2 12+ SpA Porygon2 Ice Beam vs. 248 HP / 124+ SpD Zygarde: 128-152 (30.5 - 36.2%) -- 44.1% chance to 3HKO
-2 12+ SpA Porygon2 Ice Beam vs. 248 HP / 124+ SpD Zygarde-Complete: 128-152 (20.1 - 23.9%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
Can't Zygarde win with skitter smack, skitter smack, thousand arrows, thousand arrows? Or at least roll to kill?

Other than that this looks pretty good, is shadow ball for much? Idt you need it to beat spectrier so maybe recovery/some kind of setup could work there? Also, how much is thunderbolt doing?

Shadow ball's for sub+disable dragapult(switching moves after disable) and to a lesser degree aegislash and jirachi. I'll check zygarde right now, I'll edit this right after.
Edit: You're right, it's not even a roll. I revised the set to put recover as an alternate move for shadow ball and the 12 extra ev's back in HP for a better matchup against stuff like zarude and zygarde when using recover. I wanted to keep modest on porygon2 so you can still OHKO kartana and porygon-z with hyper beam.

Release 2.2!

Additions
-Added Toxic Zygarde.
-Finally added a Band Zeraora set.
-Added STALL SHELMET, BUG WITH A HELMET
-Added type:null.
-Added a LO thundurus-therian set that beats Necrozma with Charge, it's pretty cool.
-Added scarf volcanion, a recently popularized set that lures Nihilego, Landorus-Therian, Tbolt Genesect, Venusaur, and more.
-Brought back Chilan Yawnpert.
-Added stall Talonflame
-Added Band and WP Sudowoodo.
-Following Thundurus's return to the VR, added bopher's subtoxic set.
-Added band unovadarm.

Tweaks
-Band Aggron now has Bulldoze listed as a slash option, as it helps out in the mirror as well as the specs magnezone and sometimes the band sawk matchup.
-Reworked Sitrus Fini's EVs and made Icy Wind a standard slash option.
-Reworked band crustle EVs because in retrospect jolly band iron tail mold breaker haxorus was kind of a weird benchmark.
-Optimized stall jellicent's EVs to beat band aggron.
-EVs for sitrus celesteela reworked for new benchmarks and to no longer have 69 spedef.
-Subseed celesteela fully reworked, now has occa for better heatran/volcanion matchups.
-Custap Dracovish now outspeeds Aggron, alternate spread that sacrifices damage output for regieleki reliability included in the doc.
-Slashed Disable on LO Nidoking, which beats specs necrozma and band aggron.
-Reworked WP Zarude's EVs for more bulk, which notably helps against Necrozma.
-Slashed Substitute on Nihilego, which does the same thing as Light Screen but is sometimes more reliable.
-Improved AV Urshifu-Rapid EVs so it now has more HP while retaining the same special bulk, attack, and speed.
-Updated the band rhyperior set.
-Swampert sets now have Damp recommended if they don't run water moves, mostly for the rare situation where a Trace/Skill Swap opponent can make use of the ability. The amusement provided by low ladder explosion users might be worth more.
-Tweaked Toxicroak EVs.
-Shifted LO Genesect's nature from Rash to Mild for a better mirror and gmoltres matchup.

Removal
-Removed Cradily as it's unranked now

Grammar
-Fixed a ton of grammar inconsistencies. Big shoutout to Murman for pointing some of those out and in general being a huge contributor to this project. When I inevitably get banned for my many offenses, I hope he'll be the one to take up this thread.

The set compendium is missing a sap sipper AV Goodra. I used Bopher's set from the VR as a starting point for this set.
Goodra @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 248 HP / 40 Def / 100 SpA / 112 SpD / 8 Spe

A few remarks, but liking what I'm seeing so far.

+2 Acro is a fine benchmark, but it's not entirely clear to me what the special defense is for. You're running too much for scarf fini's moonblast 3hko, and the other matchups don't quite check out either. Similarly, the only mentioned spa benchmark is '3hkoing scarf fini' but you're overinvested here once more (a spa dump would be fine, I'm just wondering if it's for anything in particular).

Haban Hydreigon can use Nasty Plot t1 and then attack with a +2 draco meteor (which does more than 2 draco turn). I do think you

Nihilego gets a +1 boost on meteor beam that the calc does not automatically add. With it, I believe you lose.
+1 208 SpA Nihilego Meteor Beam vs. -4 252 HP / 112 SpD Assault Vest Goodra: 364-430 (94.7 - 111.9%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO

Spedef necro should probably be clicking photon geyser, what's the calc for that?

Kart hits slightly harder with smart strike than with knock, if I'm not mistaken. That's another matchup where you're not showing optimal opponent play.

Your spectrier calc is also a little weird because it assumes spect will wisp t1 and not calm mind. Again, I'm sure you still win, but having accurate benchmarks is a good habit to get into.

+2 acro is important because it is the hardest thing rillaboom can reasonably hit you with because goodra always 2hko’s with acid spray + sludge wave.

Yeah I messed up meteor beam calc I didn’t add the +1 manually that is why I had as much spdf as I did. Also, I guess I overlooked that line of play from Hydregon too.

I think I showed the stronger photon geyser calc with fast specs and even it isn’t a reliable ohko I can add the spdf photon geyser calc too, but it’ll be even more in goodra’s favor than the fast specs calc.

I cannot remember why I had set the spatk to 100 off of the top of my head, but 84+ was what I was running in an original calc but upped to 100+ for a match up. I will try to find what I had added the extra 16spatk iv’s for and I will adjust the sdpf so to what ever the next most important point was.

Goodra @ Assault Vest

Modest Nature

I have fixed the spread. Spdf to not be 3hko by scarf tapu fini. The spatk is to ko specs primarina with acid spray + sludgewave. The defense + hp is to live +2 rillaboom acrobatics, the most damage a normal seeds offense rillaboom can do. Rillaboom can beat this set if it is SD + superpower which isn't a normal set. I put the rest of the Ev's into speed. 208 is not a great speed tier, but you can remove some of these speed ev's to improve unfavorable matchups, like the sylveon matchups. Other attacks that have some use are earthquake for the magnazone and heatran, or counter to cheese wins vs urshifus and zeraora that are not carrying outrage.

While I do not think sap sipper goodra is better than gooey it does provide a valuable team slot if you need something to reliably beat most grass types.

Rillaboom

+2 252+ Atk Rillaboom Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 248 HP / 40 Def Goodra: 324-382 (84.5 - 99.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery

This match-up seems like the winning player needs to win multiple 50/50's to win. You can break t1 sub with sludge wave and acid spray allows you to beat t1 QD.

I believe that all of the listed matchups are also possible for the already-existent spread (perhaps aside from running a little more speed for fast diggersby), could you give an example where the extra bulk helps out? I'm sure there is one, it just seems good to explicitly mention.

The bulk allows Kommo-o to tank 2 jolly CB sawk close combats, and 9 spear hits from adamant CB lugg (around 99% of the time). Adamant CB sawk has like a 30% chance to 2HKO.

After looking more closely at diggersby, I think you would need to outspeed jolly diggersby to reliably win, which gives up too much bulk.

Release 2.3 is out!

Additions
-Added two more occa genesect sets, one specially defensive and one physically defensive.
-Added an AV set for garchomp following its surge in ladder usage.
-Added WP buzzwole.
-Added an offensive LO Zapdos.
-Added WP jirachi, rising star (no pun intended).
-Added Raboot (now get out of my house D2)
-Added Cursola.
-Added Golisopod.

Tweaks
-Slashed LO genesect's nature, it can now be Mild for MoltG or Rash for Urshifu's sucker.
-Removed Hydro Pump on Goodra, replaced it with Earthquake. This still beats any heatran (Draco into EQ into EQ) and also does better against nihilego and mirror coat magnezone. Also lets you beat DIG RIOLU.
-Slashed Crunch on AV Tyranitar, which lets you beat band pult.
-Slightly changed Scarf Tyrantrum's slashes.
-Updated band Grimmsnarl's EVs.
-Gave fast heatran 4 spd which helps with some weird download PZs.
-Slashed Flame Charge on AV Arc, which helps vs venusaur and other substallers, in addition to being a nice way to cheese some occa mons.
-Slashed Avalanche on band Gyarados.
-Optimized Sitrus Fini's EV spread for one extra point of SpA, ty RCM.
-Slashed Avalanche on AV glastrier.
-Removed Flash Cannon from Thundurus-Therian, as Diancie is no longer as relevant as it once was.

Removals
-Removed Relicanth, may he join cradily in the Halls of Cool But Unviable Rock-Types.

Grammar
-Changed 'Pjab' to 'PJab' in the Urshifu-Rapid set name and fixed a bunch of similar errors in other names.
-Added a space in chople mamoswine's EV spread.

Application I guess:
Set:
Kyurem @ Haban Berry
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 136 HP / 224 Def / 114 SpA / 30 SpD / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Glaciate
- Draco Meteor
- Earth Power
- Freeze-Dry
Evs: HP + Def tanks superpower from scarf darm-g, still lives naga(even if modest) and beats every other dragoon(except av regidrago fuck that thing). 4 speed outspeeds min speed arca and other base 95's. Also is able to tank flash cannons from heatran/mag, glaciate them, and then kill with epower.
Also wins haban kyurem ditto:
0 SpA Kyurem Draco Meteor vs. 136 HP / 30 SpD Haban Berry Kyurem: 186-219 (43.7 - 51.5%) -- 8.2% chance to 2HKO
114+ SpA Kyurem Draco Meteor vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD Haban Berry Kyurem: 229-271 (50.7 - 60%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
And it beats scarf and chople shifu variants
252 Atk Urshifu Close Combat vs. 136 HP / 224 Def Kyurem: 342-404 (80.4 - 95%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
114+ SpA Kyurem Draco Meteor vs. -1 4 HP / 0 SpD Urshifu: 477-562 (139.4 - 164.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
114+ SpA Kyurem Draco Meteor vs. -1 248 HP / 0 SpD Urshifu: 477-562 (118.3 - 139.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Hi, a few questions.

What is the specific special benchmark calc? You're way overbulked for timid specs naga and slightly underbulked for modest specs. The physical benchmark is fine though.

Why are you using this specific distribution of HP, defense, and spedef? It seems far from optimal.

You also claim you can beat magnezone, but specs still OHKOs and custap is a 50-50.

GENE IS GONE BUT THE SETS COMP ISN'T

This release was massive enough that I'm comfortable calling it 3.0. Enjoy!

Additions
-Added defensive Rock Tomb Nihilego
-Added Choice Band Buzzwole.
-Added Wacan Primarina with a swanky 5-stat EV spread.
-Added AV landorus-therian.
-Added offensive haban kyurem.
-Added sitrus keldeo.

Tweaks
-Massively reworked the WP Zygarde spread.
-Changed Suicune's HP some.
-Slashed Ice Punch on Choice Band Darmanitan-Galar, which trades higher accuracy (useful in the fast sub zygarde matchup especially) for losing to Band Rhyperior and a worse Custap Lele matchup.
-Made Stakataka Brave instead of Adamant.
-Reworked the ID Tapu Fini spread.
-Reworked the Scarf Fini spread.
-Changed the EVs for pressure stall entei.
-Slashed Toxic on stall Entei.
-Slashed Toxic and Rest on stall Suicune.
-Removed Fire Punch from Aggron's move suggestions.
-Replaced Payback on stall Corviknight with Body Press.
-Reworked Moltres's EVs, previously featuring rachi.
-Reworked Scarf Salamence's EVs for the same reason.
-Removed Sucker Punch on Choice Band Sudowoodo.
-Slashed Substitute on Haban Berry Kyurem.
-Reworked Specs Pheromosa's EVs, to maximize special attack.
-Put Surf over Hydro Pump on Choice Scarf Fini, as the extra damage didn't hit many additional targets.
-Gave Custap Sylveon slightly more defense to reliably beat band landoT.
-Tweaked Zeraora's Bulk Up set some, max speed wasn't particularly useful so it's been made bulkier.
-Updated LO Nidoking to have a better Zygarde matchup.
-Gave metal burst aggron a -spd nature.

Basically everything downstream of here is because gene got banned.

-Slashed Head Smash on Steelix.
-Slashed Air Slash on Custap Celesteela.
-Changed EVs on WP Aegislash.
-Changed Stall Azu EVs.
-Changed Chandelure EVs to match up better vs Knock Off Rillaboom.
-Reworked Choice Scarf Clefable's EVs.
-Reworked Custap Dracozolt EVs.
-Updated Latios's spread and slash options.
-Updated Band Regidrago's spread.
-Reworked Custap Sawk.
-Slightly tweaked the EVs of torrent yawn swampert.
-Gave AV tyranitar slightly less speed.
-Gave Chople tyranitar a different slash option.
-Tweaked Zeraora spreads, completely overhauled band.
-Overhauled mandibuzz's set.
-Overhauled P2's set.
-Wanted to overhaul the type:null set bc it EV'd for gene but turns out these evs work perfectly for scarf zolt already.
-Overhauled corviknight.
-Overhauled subseed celesteela, now with heavy slam as a suggested option to beat gdarm and tapu fini.
-Reworked the EVs on wisphex pult.
-Reworked the EVs on chople ttar.
-Gave naga 4 defense instead of 4 special defense, as all download users beat you anyway but it might matter vs priority users.
-Reworked slash options on AV rhyperior, as heat crash is less useful now.
-Added Clear Smog as an option on stall torkoal.

Removals
-Removed Genesect
-Removed Jirachi
-Moved bulky pheromosa to an altspread in the doc.
-Removed AV urshifu-rapid, as it was mostly an anti-genesect tech.
-Removed Roseli urshifu-rapid, as it just kinda sucked.
-Removed AV keldeo.

Additional note:
Many Pokemon run 0 attack IVs to minimize the damage they take from Foul Play and Confusion. Foul Play has one common user in 1v1 (Mandibuzz) while confusion is inflicted by a small handful of mons (Moltres-Galar, Zapdos). At the same time, reducing IVs lowers the damage from Struggle, which is increasingly relevant in the current meta. On choiced pokemon that run no physical moves (like Volcanion), it might be worth to give them 31 Attack IVs, as their vulnerability to Disable might outweigh the occasional confusion selfhit. Note that no EV spread in the actual compendium have been changed, this is merely a suggestion.

Ig I oughta add this one to the set compendium at least.
:aegislash:
Physical WP(Aegislash) @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Stance Change
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Atk / 64 Def / 72 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- King's Shield
- Iron Head
- Sacred Sword
- Shadow Sneak

All the killing power of the special set, with much more many more advantages:
Priority, boosted, STAB move with shadow sneak
Strong, 100% accurate, stat change-ignoring fighting type coverage
30% chance to just like, win, if you outspeed
Has a surprising amount of good matchups, including the monotype fairies, sturdy mons that outspeed/cant ohko sword form, magnezone, naganadel, alot of pult sets, primarina, sawk, most custap sets, etc.

-Added Custap Berry Venusaur.
-Added WP Zapdos-Galar.
-Added Specs Celesteela.
-Added Chople Berry Kyurem.

Removals:
-Removed Chople Mamoswine. If you've come across chople mamoswine while browsing the compendium, used chople mamoswine, or (god forbid) won a battle with chople mamoswine, I am deeply sorry and would like to extend my sincere sympathies: we will do everything in our power to prevent such a thing from happening again in the future.
-Removed Antigron Zeraora. The Fake Out + CC tech will still be mentioned in the doc.

Tweaks:
-Slashed Energy Ball on Custap Chandelure.
-Gave Band Aggron 4 Def instead of 4 HP, for reasons that I presume are important and meaningful.

-Listed Skitter Smack on Pheromosa as a slash option that beats Cresselia.

-Slashed Haze on Toxapex as an option to use against Registeel and Sylveon.
-Gave Occa Whimsicott 4 more special defense to beat specs Necrozma always.
-Slashed Gyro Ball on Ferrothorn as an anti-fairy option.
-Slashed Jolly on Urshifu-Rapid.

-Made Heavy Slam default on band crustle.
-Slashed Earthquake on scarf Hydreigon, which beats Nihilego.
-Slashed Thunderbolt on Choice Specs Nihilego, as it beats banded zapdos-galar.
-Made Kommo-O Bold instead of Impish, as it has no need for Attack.
-Gave Darmanitan-Galar 4 SpD instead of Def, for Porygon2's Download.
-Somewhat reordered scarf DarmG's moves, notably putting less emphasis on Flare Blitz with Jirachi/Genesect gone and new steels learning to EV.
-Gave Scarf Cresselia 4 extra speed so it's faster than uninvested base 60s after Trick.
-Slashed Acrobatics on Custap Celesteela.
-Tweaked EVs on sitrus primarina.
-Tweaked EVs on yawn sylveon.
