[Gen 1] The Pokédex Redone (Playable on Dragon Heaven)

Alright, subs are officially closed! Voting has begun. You will be able to vote for up to 3 subs for each Pokémon. If voting for yourself, it has to be in the third slot. 1st slot = 3 pts., 2nd slot = 2 pts., 3rd slot = 1 pt. Totals will be accumulated for each mon, and the winners will receive roles in the Winning Submissions/Hall of Fame!

Sorry to anyone who was planning on voting for Mew later. I might make an exception and hold another round of voting for it if I get bugged about it enough.

Two other things to vote on! These will require a 2/3 majority to pass.
1. Should Slash be banned? Y/N
2. A new type is in the works called Beast type.

1. Should Slash be banned?
I don't think this is needed. Slash basically ends up being a generic strong Normal Move for the stuff that gets it despite the high crit ratio. It also means not using moves like Body Slam. I could be wrong though. I'll abstain from this.
2. A new type is in the works called Beast type.
NO

On a more serious note, The typing will make attempting to learn the meta harder, since not only is everything getting replaced, there's new mechanics as well to worry about. I think only the Pokemon (plus the extra moves you mentioned) should be the only thing to change.

A generic 140 BP physical move that can be subbed on a Normal type for STAB is broken imo.

Edit: Which brings High Jump Kick to my attention. Not banning it because it has a 10% chance to miss and I'll give it the updated recoil effect. Also it needs to be thematically fitting to the mon it gets subbed for, which is much more difficult to do than with Slash.

The next round of subs is up! Starting now, a Pokemon can learn as many Normal type moves as it wants, unless specified or its type is Normal. If its type is Normal, then see the STAB section. The council will count how many non-Normal non-STAB moves the Pokémon to be replaced has. The “replacement” Pokémon can learn this number of moves.

Pokémon: Scrachling
Type(s): Normal/Flying
35 / 56 / 45 / 25 / 55 (216)
Notable moves: Sky Attack, Air Slash, Scratch
Pokédex entry: Scrachling naturally know how to fly right from birth. They scratch things frequently to help develop their claws.
Weight: 2 kg
Egg Group(s): Flying
Evolution(s): Hawkarate, Level 15
Description: Quick note but my names always seem to be too long, if 11 character names are ok then "Scratchling" would be better. This would change the Pokedex entry as well.

Pokémon: Hawkarate
Type(s): Fighting/Flying
60 / 76 / 60 / 40 / 63 (299)
Notable moves: Sky Attack, Air Slash, Scratch, Karate Chop, Jump Kick
Pokédex entry: Upon evolution, Hawkarate's talons are now able to break through stone with relative ease.
Weight: 18 kg
Egg Group(s): Flying
Evolution(s): Falkick, Level 30
Description: Also as a note, still not sure whether to name this "Hawrate" or "Karawke" or "Hawkrate" or something...

Pokémon: Falkick
Type(s): Fighting/Flying
80 / 96 / 70 / 60 / 93 (399)
Notable moves: Sky Attack, Air Slash, Scratch, Karate Chop, Jump Kick, High Jump Kick, Rock Slide, Hyper Beam
Pokédex entry: Only the most experienced Hawkarate evolve into Falcick. Their talons can now break through diamond.
Weight: 35 kg
Egg Group(s): Flying
Description: This is a decently strong Flying-type with great coverage between Flying, Rock, and Fighting. All of its stats are pretty middling, especially its Special, but it could potentially hold its niche for its good coverage and solid enough Speed.

Pokémon: Hamstar
Type(s): Normal
30 / 51 / 30 / 67 / 40 (218)
Notable moves: Body Slam, Quick Attack, Psychic
Pokédex entry: Hamstar are nocturnal, and they like to spend time stargazing. Overcast nights make them sad.
Weight: 9 kg
Egg Group(s): Field
Evolution(s): Hamstellar, Level 22

Pokémon: Hamstellar
Type(s): Normal/Psychic
60 / 80 / 40 / 97 / 66 (343)
Notable moves: Body Slam, Quick Attack, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Hyper Beam
Pokédex entry: Wild Hamstellar can be very nice or mean towards people. Some folklore tells to make a wish when interacting with a nice one.
Weight: 25 kg
Egg Group(s): Field
Description: Mixed attacking hamster. Normal and Psychic are both fantastic offensive types in this generation, and Shadow Ball might make for some pretty good coverage as well. It's also an incredible defensive type, only weak to Bug in this gen which isn't the strongest type. However, it's pretty fragile physically and pretty slow on top of that.

Pokémon: Hedgeshock
Type(s): Electric
75 / 25 / 40 / 100 / 20 (260)
Notable moves: Thunderbolt, Surf, Body Slam
Pokédex entry: Hedgeshock are an endangered species that use the quills on their back to charge electricity.
Weight: 7 kg
Egg Group(s): Field, Fairy
Evolution(s): Porcuplug, Level 28
Description: I've gotta at least try to make the mascot viable here. Decent enough stats that I really tried not to minmax, Water/Electric coverage, that's it. I can only do so much with a 260 BST though...

Pokémon: Porcuplug
Type(s): Electric
85 / 45 / 105 / 85 / 65 (395)
Notable moves: Thunderbolt, Thunder, Surf, Body Slam, Hyper Beam, Seismic Toss
Pokédex entry: Porcuplug can fire their amped up quills at opponents. They will do this as a method of defense and offense.
Weight: 30 kg
Egg Group(s): Field, Fairy
Description: I imagine most people wouldn't want to sub anything defensive or anything single-typed, so I tried to work with both. Recover is a banned move unfortunately but I'd want this to get that, if not then I guess Rest could work fine, but it wouldn't be ideal. Its defensive typing isn't the best but it's not the worst, and its offensive coverage is pretty solid but has the obvious weakness of not doing well against bulky Grasses.

Pokémon: Failizurd
Type(s): Dragon (Steel is added in Gen 2, I asked if it would be okay to give it this in advance and he said yes)
20 / 45 / 20 / 20 / 80 (185)
Notable moves: Splash, Quick Attack, Ember
Pokédex entry: Failizurd often try to pick fights with enemies bigger than themselves. They end up running away after seeing one attack.
Weight: 26 kg
Egg Group(s): Dragon, Monster
Evolution(s): Modolith, Level 35

Pokémon: Modolith
Type(s): Dragon (Steel is added in Gen 2)
100 / 120 / 100 / 90 / 70 (480)
Notable moves: Dragon Claw, Fire Blast, Body Slam, Hyper Beam
Pokédex entry: Modolith has lost its sense of fear upon evolving. Many attackers flee from it upon making eye contact.
Weight: 479 kg
Egg Group(s): Dragon, Monster
Description: Another reused design, but I'm actually using this for a different project I'm working on that has a weaker first stage and a strong final evolution kinda like this. Only difference is that since this is Gen 1, I had to make its evolution method far more simple than what I wanted to for the other project...anyways, Modolith has amazing stats for this generation on top of having an unresisted Dragon STAB + Fire coverage to hit some of the Ice mons that want to switch in on it. Its Special isn't the best though, and its Speed leaves a bit to be desired.

May do the other two later.

Submissions for this slate will close next Monday. Some changes the council and I are discussing:
-Potentially adding Will-O-Wisp
-Reverting Blizzard/Thunder/Fire Blast/Ice Beam/Thunderbolt/Flamethrower to their Gen 1 counterparts. If you didn't see the post, we will be updating everything else to Gen 7.

I've decided to revert Blizzard/Thunder/Fire Blast/Ice Beam/Thunderbolt/Flamethrower to Gen 1. As for Will-O-Wisp, voting will be during the voting slate. As with the previous Slash/Beast type votes, this will require a 2/3 majority.

Feel free to post your thoughts.

Going to post my thoughts on the current meta!

In general:
air slash + para is a good combo
brick break is good for anti-screens
dragon claw on dragon types is a godsend and same with shadow ball on ghosts
giga drain and leech life would be good on defensive mons
leech life beats up psychics
sludge bomb makes poison relevant again
will-o-wisp, if added, will make swords dancers not as potent of a threat
fire+dragon could be a great offensive typing, like it already is
para halving instead of fourthing speed means para spam is a little worse

Current mons:
Only Alpapaca, Salamadnes, Krokonile, Burrowasp, Waspear, and Azurolt will be discussed.
Ground the meta
Alpapaca: Middling speed. Notable moves: Earthquake, Razor Leaf, Petal Dance. Spook you need to pick one of Rock Slide, Submission, and Thunderbolt for the Pacaby line. It can only have one 60+ BP non-STAB move for balance reasons. We just noticed today
Salamadnes: good speed tier. Good attack and special with access to Flamethrower/Fire Blast and Sludge Bomb makes it a threat. Brick Break for coverage and anti-screens
Krokonile: Coveted water/ground type. Surf/Hydro Pump, Earthquake, and Ice Beam make for great coverage, as Swampert has shown. Defensive oriented mon with middling speed.
Burrowasp: Decent speed. Can hit Psychics hard with Leech Life. Sludge Bomb will be added to the sheet, as the sub was not edited after adding.
Waspear: average speed and poor defenses with okay attack means it won't get much usage.
Azurolt: Great coverage, but only somewhat good speed and a typing 4x weak to ground and stabs that either are resisted by it or don't affect it means that it will struggle vs. ground types.

leech life beats up psychics
Darn I forgot the moves were updated as well as the type chart. (I made my subs with that in mind and ended up giving a Pokemon a 80 BP move as a starting move...)

I tried to design it like that, but with the other bug winning, it now feels out of place attempting to make it feel real.

If there's going to be a buffing slate, ill consider suggesting buffs, but other than that, basically summed it up.
