[OVERVIEW]

Due to its great Speed, good offensive typing and coverage, and ability to threaten common entry hazard removers and deterrents like Charizard, Tsareena, and Xatu, Galvantula is an effective Sticky Web setter. Its access to Volt Switch in combination with these traits also makes it a decent pivot. However, Galvantula's meager Special Attack hinders its overall damage output. Opting for Life Orb does make up for this, particularly if Galvantula runs Thunder, but doing so means forgoing Heavy-Duty Boots and limiting its staying power. Galvantula also faces competition from other Sticky Web setters in Ribombee and Vikavolt. The former is better against Pokemon like Whimsicott due to its higher Speed, while the latter is much stronger, has Levitate and better bulk, and possesses similar coverage. Galvantula also faces competition from other offensive Electric-types like Heliolisk, with Sticky Web being the only reason to use the former over the latter.

[SET COMMENTS]

Thunder is Galvantula's strongest STAB move and doesn't force it to switch out like Volt Switch does. The move's accuracy is also boosted by Compound Eyes, substantially increasing its reliability. Energy Ball can be used instead to put more pressure on Rock- and Ground-types like Regirock and Palossand. Heavy-Duty Boots negates the effects of entry hazards, giving Galvantula an easier time switching around and annoying offensive teams. Alternatively, Life Orb can be used to bolster Galvantula's offensive presence, giving it a high chance to OHKO Pokemon like defensive Mesprit with Bug Buzz after Stealth Rock. However, losing immunity to entry hazards and taking Life Orb recoil both decrease its overall longevity. Slow wallbreakers and setup sweepers like Kingler and Omastar very much appreciate Galvantula both slowing down potential revenge killers, like Choice Scarf Togedemaru, with Sticky Web and generating momentum for them with Volt Switch. These examples also benefit from Galvantula's ability to threaten Guzzlord and bulky Water-types, and, in return, they can break through problematic Steel- and Rock-types such as Galarian Stunfisk and Gigalith. Passimian can similarly threaten these Pokemon while also completing a VoltTurn core with Galvantula and punishing Defog attempts against Sticky Web thanks to Defiant. Rapid Spin users like Tsareena and Kabutops can give Galvantula's teammates easier entry without removing Sticky Web, maintain momentum with their respective pivoting moves, and offensively check Pokemon such as Palossand and Charizard. Support from the previously mentioned spinners can also allow Galvantula to more comfortably use Life Orb.

Its access to Volt Switch in combination with its previously mentioned traits also makes it a good pivot that can exert pressure on both frailer and bulkier teams idt it's that good, maybe tone it down a bit w this start. However, Galvantula's meager Special Attack prevents it from hitting very hard unless it holds Life Orb, but doing so means forgoing Heavy-Duty Boots and limiting its supportive capabilities maybe reword to smth closer to staying power since it just needs to click webs once. Galvantula also faces competition from other Sticky Web setters in Ribombee and Vikavolt. The former is better against Pokemon like Virizion and Heliolisk due to its higher speed and can become more offensively threatening with Quiver Dance idt u need to mention QD here since rib wont run both web and setup, while the latter is much stronger, has Levitate and better bulk, and possesses similar coverage. emphasize how it needs webs to be useful/compare to heliolisk as fast electric

Heavy-Duty Boots negates the effects of entry hazards, giving Galvantula an easier time switching around and annoying offensive teams. Alternatively, Life Orb can be used to bolster Galvantula's offensive presence, allowing it to almost always OHKO and 2HKO Pokemon like Vaporeon and Lanturn with Thunder and Energy Ball after Stealth Rock, respectively could be rephrased so it's more clear that you arent running thunder and energyball together. However, opting for Life Orb leaves Galvantula vulnerable to entry hazards and forces it to take recoil when it attacks, both of which decrease its overall longevity.

Slow wallbreakers and setup sweepers like Magmortar, Kingler, and Omastar very much appreciate Galvantula both hindering many of their offensive checks with Sticky Web like? and generating momentum for them with Volt Switch not rly sure what galv volts on that magmortar is good against. These examples also benefit from Galvantula's ability to threaten Guzzlord and bulky Water-types, and in return, they can break through problematic Steel- and Rock-types such as Galarian Stunfisk and Gigalith. Passimian can similarly threaten these Pokemon while also completing a VoltTurn core with Galvantula and punishing attempts at Defogging away Sticky Web thanks to Defiant. In the event that it isn't running Heavy-Duty Boots, pairing Galvantula with entry hazard removers can be useful not sure if this needs to be included since you'll probably want removal anyway since bee is better sash web lead/shuckle exists. In particular, Rapid Spin users like Tsareena and Kabutops can support Galvantula without removing Sticky Web, check Rock-, Ground-, and Fire-types, like? and maintain momentum with their respective pivoting moves.

I dont rly see why this needs to be 2 paragraphs
Slow wallbreakers and setup sweepers like Omastar and Kingler swap the order of these 2, kingler fits slow wallbreaker and Omastar fits setup sweeper more than the opposite very much appreciate Galvantula both hindering potential revenge killers like Choice Scarf Togedemaru with Sticky Web and generating momentum for them with Volt Switch. Support from the previously mentioned spinners can also allow Galvantula to more comfortably use Life Orb.
