We won't be moving into Slate 9 right away - rather, we want people to playtest the metagame the most they can to make sure next slate is as good as possible in sub quality. To help with that, we'll be having a few playtesting tours planned. We will let you know when things are mapped out a little more, so stay tuned for that! Finally a bulky defogger that isn't Knock Off bait, it also packs a ton of utility in general and probably can be used on most team archetypes, bonus points for also acting as M-Woopquaza counterplay.

:Lycanroc-Dusk::Nidoking:
A potent offensive mon, surprisingly it still has some switch-ins (:Parasect::Hariyama:, :Vullaby::Medicham:, :Buzzwole::Servine: and :Claydol::Malamar:), but it still more than keeps momentum up as it also comes with wide coverage options to further reduce counterplay with some prediction.

Krowtom is pretty nice and solidifies the popular slow pivot role that Electric types have surprisingly took on in the meta. Electric/Dark isn't perfect, but it's vast array of utility moves in it's arsenal ranging from Defog, Will O Wisp, Thunder Wave, Taunt, Volt Switch and Foul Play allow it to always be able to provide great utility and check various threats like Swannamence and Tornett-Alola. It's held in check by the multitude of Fairies in our arsenal, particularly Dragancie, but it's still a great utility pick. Nasty Plot also exists but that seems hardwalled by Dragancie with no utility and is slow as hell.

Sablemime is a strong defensive threat, Ghost/Fairy is pretty pronounced in our metagame with the amount of stuff it can switch into easily. Honestly I expect it to become one of the best our metagame has to offer in regards to walls or late game defensive wincons (Calm Mind). Dazzling Gleam sucks but it probably keeps it in NU lol.

:Nidoking::Lycanroc-Dusk:
Lycanking is pretty strong by virtue of typing alone, and Poison Touch is usually always seen as a great ability for anything that wants to try and make progress against defensive mons. Lycan doesn't really have the Movepool to fully exploit said ability however, and is outpaced by a few key offensive Pokémon, which help ensure it doesn't bully the whole tier. Still, it can force a lot of offensive pressure and it will be quite the interesting Pokémon to face.

Edit: Nidoking gets based Horse Kick, bulky Grass types gonna have a warm time trying to switch in consistently.

Playtesting tours have rather been unsuccessful, as the first tour had only 3 players total. There were plans for more tours, but currently half of the council is rather unavailable to host tours. As such, we've decided to move onto the final slate at once and leave playtesting for after the final winners come.

Being a bulky Water type also means it can disrupt the current offensive creep in the meta, which is further complemented by Moonlight and having a good match-up to the only weather abuser (Pelilicky), however, its typing still leaves it weak to rather common offensive kinds of coverage, and its speed isn't something to write home about.

Note that Mega Evolving bases itself on the default stats of the mon, so don't expect that copying M-Woopquaza then going mega is an immediate sweep button, for example.

Role Justification: I was trying to make a Skuntank fusion that wasn't just better Skuntank, and this is what i came up with.
Fire/Poison is a decent offensive typing, and made even more threatening by its large coverage options.
while it lacks recovery and is locked to boots, Nasty Plot makes it a threatening wallbreaker and Fallout makes it a good U-Turn/contact deterrent, both with the threat of burn, a 4x resist, and 1/4th chip if it's somehow koed by it.

Role Justification: I reworked this a little and hoo boy did I make it a tad more interesting. While it as a higher special attack its ability caters more to physical moves, meaning both sets are gonna be fairly common. It has some pretty good bulk as well. The main downside is that like most wallbreakers it is indeed slow. Oh and uhh I should mention depending on the stat distribution of Charjatrix that also might be useful since it would be a defensive electric/flying even if it does need eviolite to help it out.

It has STAB Boltbeam coming from its weaker attack stat. It has pretty good offensive stats, but cannot boost either without a choice item. Every boon has some sort of minor drawback to it, even if it is negligible.

Role Justification: The best idea I've had for FENU in a long while. An incredibly versatile mon with a bunch of different sets depending on what you want to do. Its ability to immediately eat a berry on switch-in means it basically has customizable intrepid sword or some unique utility options that allow a flexible playstyle, and also somehow gives Belch use. It also has access to Nasty Plot and Swords Dance for boosting as well as Trick to basically steal the opponent's item once yours is gone.
A list of Berries that you can run on this mon. Some are clearly better than others, some are borderline useless, while some are niche but are pretty fun to play around. Choose your favorites out of these and based on what you want your Victreegeist to do.

The actually useful berries are *almost* all the stat booting berries. Petaya is easily the best with 120 BP Belch and NP. Liechi and Salac are good, Liechi with Victreegeist's above average attack and Salac for that extra speed. Apicot and Ganlon are the "worst" since Victreegeist benefits most from offensive boosts but are still somewhat decent depending on the set you wish to run.

S tier: Petaya Berry

The borderline useless berries are all the type-based berries and the healing berries. They basically in all situations don't give any benefit to Victreegeist at all.

The niche but pretty fun berries are some of the more unique ones. Custap gives you surprise factor with one use priority. Jaboca and Rowap are interesting for that slight chip damage on switch. Then you have the Starf berry, a very fun berry that is probably useless most of the time, but you can potentially get some game breaking set ups if you're lucky. Not consistent enough to be used over the standard stat boosting berries, but still fun to play around with.

This is the truest definition of a purely offensive steel, with no way to heal itself. If you want this mon to wreck teams, keep it healthy and give it just the right time for a set up opportunity and it won't fail you.
