Pet Mod Fresh Takes V4 (Slate 3 Submissions)

Approved by Duo
V1 by Finland
V2 & V3 by Demon Dragon

Fresh Takes V4
Welcome to the fourth iteration of Fresh Takes, a pet mod originally started in Generation 7! In this mod, slates of 3 pokemon will be given new "Takes" so that they can be successful in Generation 8 OU.

Each slate, 3 "Takes" and 3 Pokemon will be posted. Each Take will have a rule for the Pokemon's Type, Stats, Abilities, and Movepool, all 4 of which MUST be followed.

Submissions:

You are only allowed to submit each pokemon once, but you are able to submit 1 "Take" as many times as you want.
EX: The three pokemon are
,
, &
and the three Takes are:

Take 1: filler
Take 2: filler
Take 3: filler

You are allowed to submit
,
, &
all under Take 1

You are not allowed to submit
for Take 1,
for Take 2, &
for Take 3, because you submitted Charizard multiple times.

The conditions of each take will vary slate by slate, but the general mindset for each Take will be:
Type: Being single/double typed, and keeping/changing the original type
Stats: Placing certain bounds on the base stats that the pokemon can have (there is no BST cap, but remember to keep the pokemon you submit balanced for Gen 8 OU)
Abilities: There is no general rule, but some slates may be based on the Gen 8 Singles Ability Rankings
Movepool: Adding or removing moves, which can also be based on type changes

Custom Moves and Abilities will only be allowed if the specific take allows for them. If the take does not specifically mention them, you are not able to submit them.

Voting:
Voting will be based on the Pokemon, not the "Take"
For Example, you would vote for
,
, &
, rather than Take 1, Take 2, and Take 3

You will vote for 3 of each pokemon in order: 1st gets 3 points, 2nd gets 2, and 3rd gets 1.

For self-votes, you get (2 * the # of pokemon you submitted) points in terms of self votes.

If you submitted 3 pokemon, you would get 6 total self vote points.
If you submitted 2 pokemon, you would get 4 total self vote points.
If you submitted 1 pokemon, you would get 2 total self vote points.

This is a full reboot of Fresh Takes, meaning that prior pokemon will not be returning (rip fire/normal slowbro).

This meta will be based on Gen 8 OU (not NatDex), but some snapped pokemon will be included in submission phases. Megas, Z-Moves, and snapped Moves will not be in the meta.

Name of Pokemon: Eelektross
Take: 2
Type: Electric / Ground
Abilities: Poison Heal / Anger Point / Dazzling
Stats: 100 / 90 / 80 / 90 / 110 / 75
Movepool Additions: Thousand Waves, Stone Edge, Earth Power, Ice Beam
Description: wow! its eel! but it can commit trapping and has epic poison heal! it is bulky, and epic, and pivots too. its also the first sub! poison heal gives it some nice longevity, despite not having actual recovery, while thousand waves lets it trap and defeat targets weak to any of its STABs, wich is helped by it beeing so bulky. specifically, its a nice trapping bulky pivotting mon with volt switch.

Name of Pokemon: Dewgong
Take: 3
Type:

Abilities: Guts/Thick Fat/Technician
Stats: 85 HP / 80 Atk / 90 Def / 60 SpA / 90 SpD / 100 Spe (505 BST)
Movepool Additions: Triple Axel, Icicle Crash, Flip Turn, Swords Dance
Description: I turned Dewgong into a Physical Setup Sweeper with a pivot. To do this, I have it the two primary physical I’ve moves, both of which it originally doesn’t have for different reasons. I then gave it Flip Turn because like every fish got it in gen 8 if it wasn’t dexited, like Dewgong was. SD’s here so it doesn’t have to use Curse to set up. The abilities determine what moves you’ll ultimately be using, but I can see all three of them being used effectively.

Description: Dracozolt but awesome

Name of Pokemon:Eelektross
Take:3
Type:Electric/Dark
Abilities:Tinted Lens/Static
Stats:90/80/90/60/90/110
Movepool:+Plasma Fists -Super Fang
Description:Fast bulky Mon that can do good damage despite its attack stat with Tinted Lens. Can do a defensive pivot set or a bulky booster set with Coil.

Name of Pokemon: Celebi
Take: 1
Type:

Abilities: Overgrow / Natural Cure
Stats: 95/80/95/120/95/95 (BST: 580)
Movepool Additions: N/A
Description: Celebi now has a much better typing, which it can use to drop Nasty Plot boosted Earth Powers or do standard Celebi pivoting and hazard setting. Its bulk and speed are slightly lower than before to make up for the sizeable power increase.

Name of Pokemon: Dewgong
Take: 2
Type:

Abilities: Heatproof / Hydration / Ice Body
Stats: 105/85/95/85/105/75 (BST: 550)
Movepool Additions: Triple Axel, Flip Turn, Scald, Freeze-Dry
Description: The defensive Ice. meant to emulate Kyurem's defensive prowess now that it has left OU, but without it's sheer offensive presence. Its new moves are all nifty STABs, especially Flip Turn for pivoting, and Freeze-Dry for Water types. Its main weaknesses are a lack of reliable recovery and general support options.

Take: 1
Type: Fighting
Abilities: Levitate (H: Moxie)
Stats: 85/120/80/100/80/92 (BST: 557)
Movepool Additions: None.
Description: Eelektross becomes a Moxie sweeper with Coil, Thunder Punch, Drain Punch, Fire Punch, Rock Slide, Knock Off, Superpower & potentially Sub + Focus Punch if you want to go crazy. 92 Speed allows it to outspeed Lando, Porygon-Z, & Moltres.

Stats: 115/70/90/70/105/45 (BST: 495)
Movepool Additions: Bolt Beak, Freeze-Dry, Mystical Fire, Wild Charge
Description: Dewgong goes hard with Bolt Beak, Freeze-Dry/Ice Beam, Mystical Fire, & Drill Run/Ice Shard/Megahorn/Surf. Dewgong is immune to burns with Water Veil, has decent bulk, & hits hard with Bolt Beak because switch outs also boost it, dealing large damage. Its also a cool mixed attacker.

Abilities: Flower Veil
Stats: 90 / 150 / 90 / 65 / 90 / 90

Description: an obliteratingly strong scarfer/set-up sweeper, and the best status/intimidate absorber you'll find due to its ability

:sm/eelektross::mr-mime::centiskorch:
Name of Pokemon: Eelektross
Take: 2
Type: Electric/Fire
Abilities: Flame Body / Filter (HA)
Stats: 110 / 105 / 110 / 50 / 110 / 65
Movepool Additions: Zing Zap, Fire Lash, Nuzzle, Thunder Cage.
Description: ur average slow bulky pivot, can trap, can dammge, can whip, can pivot, what more do u want (also you can set up with Coil if ur insane)

:sm/dewgong::grapploct::frosmoth:
Name of Pokemon: Dewgong
Take: 3
Type: Water/Ice
Abilities: Technician / Heatproof (HA)
Stats: 100 / 80 / 95 / 70 / 95 / 130
Movepool Additions: Quiver Dance, Swords Dance, Flip Turn, Shock Wave.
Description: the wackiest in the bunch, Technician QD sets are literally (almost) perfect, only hindered by the horrible Special attack it bolsters, but otherwise, it has better boltbeam, dazzling speed, awesome bulk, etc. SD/physical sets are also incredible due to double priority in jet/shard and booSTED FLIP TURN BABY HELL YEAH.
overall, the most versatile of all my subs, with a variability that makes it kinda hard to check, and even harder to stop once it gets going, it has no way to heal itself so it'll eventually be chipped to death but yeah

really sick mod concept, glad to see it back. very very hard to make viable subs for tho lol (or maybe i should just stop trying take 1). i dig it

Name of Pokemon: Eelektross
Take: 1
Type:

Abilities: Levitate
Stats: 85 / 120 / 80 / 60 / 105 / 80
Movepool Additions: N/A
Description: Bulky Coil breaker, with tons of utility and a very good defensive profile, only hurt by a lack of recovery.

:ss/dewgong:
Name of Pokemon: Dewgong
Take: 3
Type:

Abilities: Thick Fat / Early Bird
Stats: 105 / 60 / 85 / 75 / 110 / 102
Movepool Additions: Flash Cannon, Flip Turn, Scald, Wish
Description: A big thing missing from SS OU is Steels that actually resist Ice (besides Heatran). This makes it super easy for Ice types (such as Kyurem (yes i know it's banned i'm just making a point)) to just run coverage for Tran and sweep through even the fattest of teams. Diversifying your Ice resists is the best course of action, and what could be better than an 8x resist (I couldn't think of a good abil besides thick fat lol)? Very nice Wishpasser/bulky Water, with a Fire resist in spite of its Steel typing thanks to Thick Fat, though a Ground weakness can make walling some mons a little bit more annoying than for other bulky Waters. Also can run a very funny PerishTrap set.

Name of Pokemon: Dewgong
Take: 1
Type: Ice
Abilities: Thick Fat / Refrigerate / Technician
Stats: 90 / 120 / 75 / 60 / 75 / 115 (535 BST)
Description: I have decided to do something stupid and make a fast physical ice type here. Refrigerate gives it a powerful physical ice-STAB with body slam while allowing it to use drill run, megahorn, and waterfall/liquidation for coverage. Technician boosts ice shard allowing it to become a decent tool for priority spam along with aqua jet. It also gets fake out which benefits from both abilities.

:bw/Eelektross:
Name of Pokemon: Eelektross
Take: 2
Type: Electric/Water
Abilities: Levitate
Stats: 115 / 110 / 95 / 110 / 95 / 75 (600 BST)
Movepool Additions: Liquidation, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Plasma Fists
Description: Okay so I made the leech into a psuedo legendary with access to one of the few good electric physical STABs to be released so it could rely on something other than fucking wild charge or thunder punch. It can use coil to set up physically but it doesn't get calm mind or np so your best bet is to slap some specs on it. Regardless it could fair pretty well as a decent wallbreaker given its bulk and offenses.

:gs/Celebi:
Name of Pokemon: Celebi
Take: 3
Type: Grass
Abilities: Regenerator / Unaware
Stats: 75 / 60 / 100 / 80 / 100 / 95 (510 BST)
Movepool Additions: Scorching Sands, Spikes, Defog, Toxic Spikes
Description: Oh wow look at this fast regen grass type what an amazing find. I sure hope to do regen things with this bad bulb.

:dewgong:
Name of Pokemon: Dewgong
Take: 3
Type: Water/Ground
Abilities: Thick fat/Natural cure/Ha: Rain Dish
Stats:100/80/90/80/105/99 Bst: 554
Movepool Additions: +Shore up, Scald, Knock off, Flip turn
Description: Defensive water type pivot that can heal off status with natural cure and has reliable coverage in shore up. Its new typing allows it to check multiple pokemon including heatran, Tapu koko, and magnezone. It doesn't get stealth rock like a swampert but makes up for it by healing off residual damage and not minding status as much.
:celebi:
Name of Pokemon: Celebi
Take: 1
Type: Grass
Abilities: Flower veil
Stats: 100/80/100/120/100/100 Bst: 600
Movepool Additions: N/A
Description: Flower veil is basically a natural cure+clear body for celebi. Your standard bulky grass pokemon with a pretty big movepool including utility moves such as stealth rock, Trick, Healing wish, and toxic. Could probably make for a good specs user as it has the coverage and maybe a nasty plot sweeper. Also a great defensive pivot with 100/100/100 bulk.

:eelektross:
Name of Pokemon: Eelektross
Take: 2
Type: Electric/Dragon
Abilities: Levitate/Dragon’s maw/Ha: Iron Fist
Stats: 90/115/95/105/95/75 Bst: 575
Movepool Additions: +Dragon rush
Description: Coil+dragon rush breaker. Dragon’s maw synergizes with all the dragon moves this pokemon gets and it has the coverage to support it as a wallbreaker. Ironfist helps it boost thunder punch and fire punch on coil sets as well.
