We all know that a Pokémon can only evolve up to two times... but not every second Evolutions have a place in competitive and even friendly battles (unless you are a crazy prepared skilled trainer). And as scientists searches further, there is hidden, secret and wasted potentials that the Second Evolution Pokémon could have.

Some second stage Evolution Pokémon have a base stat total weaker than average second stage Pokémon, which includes but not limited to the likes of most Early Bug Pokémon, Raichu, Wigglytuff, Reuniclus, Gothitelle and Toucannon.

However, there are also some second stage Evolution Pokémon that have suffisently high BST... but are considered as "Unranked" in a certain competitive scene and become very seldom seen in another. There are the likes of Electivire, Dusknoir, Politoed, Vileplume and Bellossom that have untapped potentials.

But what if... there is another evolution for a second stage Pokémon? We all know that Mega Evolution can act like this, but with often mixed results. Scientists soon discovers that the Pokémon in question can evolve one more time... and possibly pull out their full potential and become a worthy addition to a dream team.

Behold a further step of evolution that is not Mega Evolution.

Fourth Frontier
Fourth Frontier is basically a way to say a fourth stage of a Pokemon evolution. Here are what are the Evolution Stages as we all know about in Pokemon; Basic, Stage 1 and Stage 2.

The goal here is to give a Stage 3 evolution (the fourth slot of an evolution line) for a Stage 2 Evolution Pokemon with BST lower than 500. This allows for some theorymonning of if just one more evolution for a three-staged Pokemon line could be possible, especially with Pokemon with below average BST or is Untiered (especially those with below average BST).

Here is the list of Pokemon with BST below 500, thus compatible for the Pet Mod's slates.
Pokémon (BST)Tier + Branching Evolution PossibilityNotice
Talonflame (499 BST)
RUBL, Branching Evolution Possible.
Talonflame have Gale Wings.
Golem + Alolan Golem (495 BST)
Both Untiered, Branching Evolution Not Possible.
Kanto and Alola Golem Evo doesn't need to have same stats.
Gothitelle (490 BST)
Untiered, Branching Evolution Possible.
It got Shadow Tag... which is banned from anything not Ubers and AG anyways.
Reuniclus (490 BST)
RUBL, Branching Evolution Possible.
Have Magic Guard and Regenerator.
Exploud (490 BST)
NUBL, Branching Evolution Possible.
Have Boomburst.
Vileplume (490 BST)
NU, Branching Evolution Not Possible.
More offensive oriented than Bellossom.
Bellossom (490 BST)
Untiered, Branching Evolution Not Possible.
More defensive oriented than Vileplume.
Victreebel (490 BST)
Untiered, Branching Evolution Possible
Lacking coverage.
Unfeazant (488 BST)
Untiered, Branching Evolution Not Possible
Male and Female Unfeazant Evo can have different Stats and Abilities.
Toucannon (485 BST)
Untiered, Branching Evolution Possible
Have Sheer Force and Skill Link.
Staraptor (485 BST)
UUBL, Branching Evolution Not Recommended but Possible
Have both Intimidate and Reckless.
Scolipede (485 BST)
UUBL, Branching Evolution Possible
Have Speed Boost. Make the Evo with caution with that in mind!
Raichu + Alolan Raichu (485 BST)
Raichu is Untiered, Alolan Raichu is PU. Branching Evolution Not Possible.
A Hidden Ability can be given for Alolan Raichu's evo (and Alolan Raichu for consistency).
Clefable (483 BST)
OU. Branching Evolution Possible
Clefable is OU material, so potential ban does to benefit from Eviolite.
Shiftry (480 BST)
Untiered. Branching Evolution Possible.
Nothing to note apart of Chlorophyll.
Ludicolo (480 BST)
PU. Branching Evolution Possible.
Have Shift Swim
Pidgeot (479 BST)
Untiered. Branching Evolution not Recommended but Possible.
Have a Mega Evoultion; normal Evolution may need to be distinct from Mega Pidgeot.
Jumpluff (460 BST)
Untiered. Branching Evolution Possible.
Have Chlorophyll and is already fast.
Wigglytuff (435 BST)
Untiered. Branching Evolution Possible, if not Guaranteed.
Have Competitive. A more physical-oriented evo can have Defiant.
Azumarill (420 BST)
UUBL. Branching Evolution not Recommended but Possible.
Have Huge Power. Make the Evo with caution with that in mind! Azumarill's potential ban with Eviolite
Vivillion (411 BST)
NU. Branching Evolution not Recommended.
Have Powder. May need distinction from Butterfree and Beautifly.
Beautifly (395 BST)
Untiered. Branching Evolution Not Possible.
May need further distinction from Butterfree and Vivillion.
Butterfree (395 BST)
Untiered. Branching Evolution Possible.
May need further distinction from Beautifly and Vivillion... notice a pattern here?
Beedrill (395 BST)
Untiered. Branching Evolution Not Recommended but Possible.
Have a Mega Evolution; normal Evolution for Beedrill may need to be more distinct from Mega Beedrill.
Dustox (385 BST)
Untiered. Branching Evolution Not Possible.
Dustox's Evo will have the same BST as Beautifly's Evo.

Seriously, how did Dustox's BST is 10 lower than Beautifly despite being a branched evolution counterpart?

There also the Untiered Pokemon as well.
  • Dusknoir
  • Electivire
  • Leavanny
  • Luxray
  • Meganium
  • Politoed
  • Slaking (we just need a simple solution for this one)
  • Ampharos (Have a Mega)
  • Walrein
  • Poliwrath will also get an Evolution like Politoed, because both are the final evos of Poliwag, and just Politoed wouldn't make it fair.
  • There will be three slates out of three of those Untiered Pokemon (with Poliwrath as an "extra" to go along with Politoed).

Rules
  • First and foremost, this will take place in OU. As such, be very sensible as to not make it broken in practice. I (and anyone else, especially a Council Member) will judge if anything is deems to broken, and if a submission won but turns out to be genuinely broken, we will take measures such as engaging a nerf slate. Same goes for underwhelming submissions but with buff slates.
  • Respect the Submission How-To as seen below, and follow the directives that is written after each bolded parts before you overwrite them for your submissions. Respect the slate's directives for the slated Pokemon's Evolution as well (such as BST limit if given, Ability limit, etc).
  • If the slated Pokemon would be compatible for a brenched Evolution, you may add a paired submission for a brenched evolution, and they will be voted altogether during the voting phase.
  • You may do up to two submissions per slated Pokemon. Paired submissions for a brenched Evolutions will count as a single submission.
  • During the voting phase, you will vote up to three submissions. Voting for a paired submissions for a brenched evolution will count as one. You may self-vote, but only for one submission/paired submission per slated Pokemon, and you cannot vote to only your submissions.
  • If more than one submission for one slated Pokemon had the highest votes, and if the slated Pokemon isn't allowed to have a Brenched evo, a tie-break will proceed during the submission and/or discussion slate.
    • If the slated Pokemon is allowed to be brenched and only two solo submissions have the highest vote, then both will be selected as winners. If either is a paired submission, or if there is more than two solo submissions, then the tie-break will proceed as normal.
  • Custom Moves and Abilities are allowed, but only one Custom Move and Ability for Submission. The custom Moves and Abilities should also be a clone of an existing Move/Ability, or if you provide a code for them.
  • For Signature Moves and Abilities, those used by only Legendary Pokemon (or Mythical, or Ultra Beasts) are not allowed. Signature Moves used by non-Legendary Pokemon are okay, but be sensible with what you gives to which Evolution you are making.
    • Making clones of Legendary Signature Moves can be okay as long as it have at least a different typing and wouldn't be overpowered on the submission. Remember that they have high BST in general. Clones of Legendary Signature Abilities are also applied for this case. Hard-coded Abilities (Disguise, Forecast, RKS System) cannot be given however.
  • Most importantly, this will take place in OU environment, so be extra sensible when doing your submissions! OU was already known to be somewhat stagnant so making your Evolutions directly counters some of the A and S ranked OU mons can be ideal. Be sure that none of them have completely absurd min-maxing for stats, and don't give a borked Ability (custom or not) for anyone of them. There is a reason why we have "Is It Overpowered?" part for the submission format.
Submission How-To
Pre-Evolution
: The Pokémon in question that is about to receive the respective evolution. Method of evolution can be included, but it should not be repeated from previous evolution method.
Pokémon Name: The name of the submission. Try to respect the naming scheme of the Pokémon line, as will be indicated at the start of each slate.
Pokémon Typing: The type of the Pokémon. You cannot change both of the types of a dual-typed Pokémon, and you cannot replace the sole type of a single-typed Pokémon (unless the sole type is Normal). You may, however, add a new type to a single-typed Pokemon and change only one of types of a dual-typed Pokémon.
Abilities: Be sure to give an equal amount of Abilities from the pre-evolution to the evolution, but you can change the Abilities as long as it have some flavorful sense. 1 Custom Ability can be given.
Stats: HP / Atk / Def / SpA / SpD / Spe | BST (HP cannot be lower than the "pseudo-fully evolved" base HP. A BST max limit may also be imposed for each slated Pokémon if necessary, but it cannot be lower than the respective Pokemon. You should not go blatantly min-maxing with the base stats either, or raise an already high stat to an unreasonable level. Swapping stats are permitted, but be sure to specify what stats you had swapped, and HP still cannot be swapped if it would result it being lower after swapping.)
New Moves: There is no real limit for adding moves, but be sensible about it. No need to give an insane coverage to the Pokémon in question. You can add 15-ish if the pre-evolution have a limited movepool, but still, don’t go insane with coverage and support. Because "learned from pre-evolutions" is a thing, you cannot remove any moves from the Submission and its pre-evolutions.
Custom Elements: You will explain what is the Move and the Ability are a clone of an existing move/ability. I may not accept a blatant copy-paste of a Legendary Move (unless if given different type) or Ability. If the custom Move/Ability isn't a clone of anything, please provide a code below your submissions, and be sure they are not uber complex.
Height + Weight: Since they are evolution, they will be typically bigger and heavier than their pre-evo. A few moves like Grass Knot, Heavy Slam and Low Kick will utilize weight as part of Base Power calculation, so be sure to provide weight. Don’t go over the top with the height/weight ratio, as unless you provide a good reason in the Description, an evolution with 1.2 meter but 900 kg compared to the pre-evolution doesn’t seems very stay-true to the line.
Description: Optional, but will help for sprites and other art-related activities. Describe how the Evolution would look like, or at least in comparison to its pre-evolution.
Competitive Uses: Describe what they can do in OU. Bringing damage calculation and movesets into mind are optional, but help others to judge if they would be reasonable or not for the OU tier.
Is It Overpowered?: Explain the potential weaknesses of your submission. A sweeper should have weak defenses while a wallbreaker should be slow, or point about OU threats, status or type that will give it a hard time.
Movesets: Optional, but will help giving a detail of a general moveset or two they can use in OU.

Having at least one submission won in three slates allows you to choose any of the unpicked Pokemon for the next slate. Up to three person can choose the next Pokemon for the next slate at a time. I (Samtendo09) make myself an exception because, well, I am the host of the Pet Mod, though I focus on making a pattern.

Q&As
  • Question 1: Clefable, Azumarill and Reuniclus are considered as viable in OU. What would we do for them?
  • Answer 1: This highly depends if the participants and council members agreed to allow those three to have an evolution at potential risk of making them too powerful with Eviolite. Should any of those three would prove unhealthy for the metagame, then their evolution will still stay unless they proved to be broken too (which then will be nerfed to a more reasonable level).
  • Question 2: Would it be possible to give an evolution to a Pokemon that is a second stage evolution but have a BST of 500 or higher and isn't Unranked?
  • Answer 2: Right now we will focus highly on Pokemon with BST lower than 500 and Unranked Pokemon (plus Poliwrath). If people accepts doing an evolution for any second stage evolution Pokemon that aren't in neither condition, then we may perform some extra slates, but with some restrictions.
  • Question 3: Should we encourage type diversity between the Pokemon's evolutions?
  • Answer 3: Why, of course! You do not need to follow 100% of what the slated Pokemon have; your evolution can have its typing, Abilities, stats and even design different from the slated Pokemon, like how the likes Gyarados, Steelix, Scizor, Masquerain and both of Clamperl's evolutions (Gorebyss and Huntail) have at least one different Ability, stats that doesn't follow the stat distribution of their pre-evolution, and sometimes at least a different type (or if single typed, gaining a new one). You do have to be sure that it still have some connections with the slated Pokemon design-wise, such as keeping Raichu's lightning-shaped tail and circle cheeks, as well as keeping at least one of its type.
  • Question 4: Here's one big question, and I will say it in two words... Why Slaking?
  • Answer 4: I understand your shock/surprise. Slaking is a second stage Pokemon that is Unranked, and despite Slaking's legendary level of BST, Truant singlehandedly held it back so badly. Its evolution should focus on giving a less crippling but still negative Ability while keeping with Slaking's legendary level of BST, or a riskier evolution that nevertheless very rewarding if used right. Slaking itself may benefit Eviolite, but although it makes Slaking much harder to get revenge killed, walls can just use Protect (and variants) the moment it can attack like always.

You may now post. Any comments and suggestions before we may begin the first slate?

The spreadsheet will be made after the winners of the first slate are decided. We also would go for five days of submissions and two days of voting, unless if the pacing would be too slow.

No? Then let's begin our very first slate.

Slate 1: Forces of Nature
Raichu + Alolan Raichu, Shiftry and Ludicolo

Raichu may be the beloved underdog of Pikachu, but it is Untiered and while it may have some success in the official Pokemon competition scenes, same cannot be said with Smogon’s OU. Raichu’s evolutions main focus is to, well, prove that it doesn’t need all of those exclusive Z-Moves, Light Ball and Cosplaying to be viable… of course being Raichu’s Evolution, it will have access of all of Pikachu’s event moves (Extreme Speed, Surf and Fake Out being the genuinely good ones), so be aware of these.

Branching not allowed for the two Raichu, and Raichu’s Evo and Alolan Raichu’s Evo must have the same name (the Alolan one having "Name-Alola") and BST. Alolan Raichu-Evo must keep its Electric/Psychic type, but is allowed to gain a Hidden Ability that Alolan Raichu itself will gain access as well. Be aware that it will not have access to Alolan Raichu's Stoked Sparksurfer. Both Evolutions must have only one Ability and one Hidden Ability.

Oh yeah, I'm aware of the planned but unused evolution of Raichu called "Gorochu", so name after this one if you wish, but be sure that your Gorochu is distinct from the others' take of Gorochu.

Shiftry and Ludicolo are counterparts that have no place in any competitive scenes (except Ludicolo in Monotype and PU, and Ludicolo also performs miracously well in Doubles, but still). It had to do with their somewhat lackluster stats and overshadowed by Mega Venusaur, Ferrothorn, Tapu Bulu and Tangrowth. Our mission is to make their Evolution to handles different OU threats and do things that the OU Grass-types cannot do.

Both must keep their Grass-type, and branching evolutions are allowed for either of them. All Evolution submissions for both must have two Abilities and one Hidden Ability.

High Tide: 50 BP, Water type, hits twice, 90% accurate (Special Water Bonemerang clone)
Type: Grass/Water
Height: 1.6 meters
Weight: 65 kg
Design: Sambaqua has a rose being held in its mouth, with the top of its sombrero having many colored flowers and lilypads attached to it, facing the foe.

Pre-Evolution: Raichu
Pokémon Name: Gorochu
Pokémon Typing: Electric
Abilities: Static / Lightning Rod (HA)
Stats: 75/110/65/95/90/120 (555)
New Moves: Surf (Without event), Fly (Without event), Aqua Tail, Hurricane, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Superpower, Defog, Bubble Beam (Gen 1 transfer only), Water Gun (Gen 1 transfer only), Aerial Ace, Acrobatics
Custom Elements: None
Height + Weight: 1.6 m / 150 kg
Description: It's redder than Raichu, with horns and fangs.
Competitive Uses: Physical attacker. Z-Celebrate for the win.
Is It Overpowered?: 110 Attack, only one type, dubious physical bulk, not especially good abilities, best STAB slowly kills itself. You tell me.
Movesets: Z-Celebrate, Volt Tackle, Aqua Tail, Stone Edge.

Pre-Evolution: Raichu-Alola
Pokémon Name: Alolan Gorochu
Pokémon Typing: Electric/Psychic
Abilities: Surge Surfer
Stats: 75/95/60/110/95/120 | (555) BST
New Moves: Surf (Without event), Fly (Without event), Aqua Tail, Hurricane, Defog, Bubble Beam (Gen 1 transfer only), Water Gun (Gen 1 transfer only), Aerial Ace, Acrobatics
Custom Elements: no
Height + Weight: 1.4 m / 105 kg
Description: idk man. i'd give it a "hawaiian mythology" sorta look to complement kanto gorochu being basically a japanese oni but. don't know enough about it to really visualize that
Competitive Uses: Special attacker. Z-Celebrate for the win. Nasty Plot is there too.
Is It Overpowered?: 110 SpA, dubious physical bulk, not especially good abilities.
Movesets: Z-Celebrate/Nasty Plot, Thunderbolt, Psychic, Surf

Samtendo09

Ability: Light Power

Pre-Evolution: Raichu
Pokémon Name: Gorochu (Not big surprise)
Pokémon Typing:

Abilities: No Guard | Lightning Rod (HA)
Stats: 80 HP / 115 Atk / 70 Def / 90 SpA / 100 SpD / 100 Spe | 555 BST
New Moves: Swords Dance, Hone Claws, Drain Punch, Close Combat, Earthquake, Poison Jab, Rock Slide, Spikes, Stone Edge, Rock Tomb, Bulldoze, Aqua Tail, Thunder Tail
Custom Elements: Thunder Tail (Electric-type Wake Up Slap clone; if target is Paralyzed, power is doubled but cures Paralysis.)
Height + Weight: 1.5m, 77 kg
Description: Redder and a bit fatter, with sharp fangs and the ears are pointier with the tip leaning forward to emulate horns. The tail maintain its thunderbolt shape but is now quite thicker and have brighter spikes into it, which Gorochu uses it as a club, typical to an oni.
Competitive Uses: Gorochu may be a bit slower than Raichu, but it compensates by much stronger Attack and can use Swords Dance or Hone Claws for a set-up sweeping, or use Choice Band/Scarf for revenge killing. Access of Aqua Tail means that Ground-type like Landorus-T may require cautious switch-in. Thunder Tail is situational but can synergize with Nuzzle to punish Switch-Ins and to give walls like Toxapex big troubles. Z-Celebrate can be a win-con allowing it to sweep properly once the main threats are out.
Is It Overpowered?: It have weak Defense, and 100 Speed is not all that impressive when you take Choice Scarf users and the likes of Mega Alakazam into consideration. Its abilities are not really helpful in most situations, and its 115 ATK isn't powerful without a Set-up, meaning that physical walls like Tangrowth can give it troubles. Volt Tackle and Close Combat can slowly wear it down if spammed. Fairy-type are also abundant and would require Poison Jab or Iron Tail (or Earthquake if it really worries about Mega Mawile), with Hone Claws as the preferable boost or having No Guard because of Iron Tail's less than favorable accuracy, it if wants to survive against them. Using No Guard means that incoming Fire Blast and other less accurate moves will always hit Gorochu as well.

Pre-Evolution: Alolan Raichu
Pokémon Name: Alolan Gorochu
Pokémon Typing:

Abilities: Surge Surfer | Levitate (HA, also applies to Alolan Raichu)
Stats: 80 HP / 90 Atk / 65 Def / 115 SpA / 105 SpD / 100 Spe | 555 BST
New Moves: Swords Dance, Hone Claws, Earthquake, Earth Power, Fly (Non-Event), Aura Sphere, Defog (Non-Event) Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Rock Tomb, Bulldoze, Surf (Non-Event), Surging Tail
Custom Elements: Surging Tail (Electric-type Mythical Fire)
Height + Weight: 1.2m, 55 kg
Description: Similar to Kantonian Gorochu, but with the tail still smooth, have no spikes and is slightly thinner, and the fur is a bit brighter. The tip of the ears also lean backward, and the fangs are also shorter.
Competitive Uses: Similar role to Kantonian Gorochu but on the Special side. Although Surge Surfer is still too situational to worth a try unless you take out the opposing Tapu, Levitate can help avoiding the Ground-type weakness from anything lacking Mold Breaker and helps avoiding all hazards except Stealth Rocks. With Surf as a counter against Ground-type, only a few like Mega Swampert could safely switch in. Surging Tail, while weaker than Thunderbolt, can help deny a Special Attack boost from anything using a Calm Mind or Quiver Dance and hampers Special Attackers who didn't boosted.
Is It Overpowered?: Its stronger STAB move, Thunder, and the stronger Fighting coverage move, Focus Blast, are inaccurate and can cost Alolan Gorochu dearly if missed, and its other STABs aren't all that strong from a 115 SpA without a boost. Levitate prevent it from benefiting Terrains, which means that Priority moves can harm it regardless if Psychic Terrain is active or not.

Pre-Evolution: Shiftry
Pokémon Name: Tengruel (Tengu + Cruel or Gruel)
Pokémon Typing:

Abilities: Chlorophyll / Defiant | Pickpocket (HA)
Stats: 90 HP / 110 Atk / 65 Def / 110 SpA / 65 SpD / 95 Spe | 540 BST
New Moves: Hone Claws, Sucker Punch, Drill Run, U-Turn, Parting Shot, Taunt, Acrobatics, Jump Kick, Pursuit, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Thunder Punch, Thinker Plot
Custom Elements: Thinker Plot (Dark-type Hone Claws clone; Raise Special Attack and Accuracy by 1 stage each.)
Height + Weight: 1.3m, 89.2 kg
Description: Much taller and fairly thinner, Tengruel's nose have a sharp red tip and the "sandals" also have red tips. The leaves have now four corners and have sharper tips on top of that. The "hair" of Tengruel is also slightly longer and much darker than Shiftry's.
Competitive Uses: Tengruel can be used as a set-up sweeper or a revenge killer, and while it maintain plenty of unfavorable weaknesses such as Fire, Fighting, Fairy, Ice and especially Bug, it do make up for that by having Chlorophyll to fit into a sun team and making momentum with Parting Shot and U-Turn. Sucker Punch can also be used as a revenge kill tool against multiple faster threats. Defiant can be an effective tool to discourage Intimidate (+ custom variants) spamming as well.
Is It Overpowered?: 95 Speed by itself is exploitable, as Tengruel can get outrun by multiple Choice Scarf users such as Tapu Lele and Landorus-T, and naturally faster foes like Kartana. Without Drill Run, its deadweight against Heatran, as it is able to take most of what Tengruel can throw. Without Defiant, Intimidate can also put a pressure for physical variants, and Chlorophyll put itself further risk against super effective Fire-type moves. Although Knock Off can be obnoxious to Steel-type, those who are able to withstand it (Ferrothorn) or are immune to it (Skarmory, Celesteela) have not much problem dealing with it, though those that are slow like Mega Mawile can be hindered by Tengruel's Parting Shot.

Pre-Evolution: Ludicolo
Pokémon Name: Kappaqua (Kappa + Aqua)
Pokémon Typing:

Abilities: Swift Swim / Rain Dish | Hydration (HA)
Stats: 90 HP / 75 Atk / 85 Def / 100 SpA / 120 SpD / 70 Spe | 540 BST
New Moves: Nasty Plot, Psychic, Wish, Recover, Grasswhistle, Sing, Aqua Ring
Custom Elements: None
Height + Weight: 1.5m, 102.2 kg
Description: Slightly thinner and have longer legs, with the beak being mildly longer and the "sombrero" lily pad hold water perpetually floating around the center. The green become darker and the fur's pattern becomes vertical zigzags with some teardrop-shaped navy blue patterns in-between the zigzags.
Competitive Uses: While Ludicolo truly shines in Doubles and VGC, same cannot be said in OU because it is unable to wall or fight by itself does to underwhelming stats compared to more offensive-oriented or defensive-oriented threats. Kappaqua focus on having strong enough Special Attack and Special Defense to play as a fast special rain sweeper or a rain-oriented wall, and can hold on its own with a impressive 90 / 120 special bulk.
Is It Overpowered?: 70 Spe by itself, alongside 90 / 85 physical bulk, are exploitable and will runs into trouble against boosted set-up physical sweepers and wallbreakers. Without the rain support for Hydration, Toxic can also cripple it and prevent it from recovering all of the damage Kappaqua will gets. Although it can defend itself with Ice Beam, Psychic and the likes, its 100 SpA isn't impressive and would need a Nasty Plot boost in order to stand a chance against tougher threats, especially Steel-types that can resist Water STAB (Ferrothorn for example). Mega Venusaur can lead for a death warrant for Kappaqua that does not run Psychic and that is defensive oriented.

This is super duper WIP but I wanted to get this down. I’m not sure what I will do for the male version, but this is my idea for a gender based branch evolution for Ludicolo. What you see below is the female evolution.

Pre-Evolution: Ludicolo

Pokémon Typing: Grass/Water
Abilities:
Stats: HP / Atk / Def / SpA / SpD / Spe | (#) BST

Is It Overpowered?:
Movesets:

Pre-Evolution: Raichu
Pokémon Name: Gorochu
Pokémon Typing:

Abilities: Mold Breaker / Lightningrod (HA)
Stats: 70 HP / 105 Atk / 65 Def / 105 SpA / 80 SpD / 125 Spe | 550 BST
New Moves: Dark Pulse, Fire Punch, Foul Play, Power Trip, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, Taunt, Throat Chop, Zing Zap
Custom Elements: N/A
Height + Weight: 1 m, 36 kg
Description: Raichu embraces the dark side it adopted as a Pichu, its fur turning dark brown with a much longer tail with a hooked tip. Evolves when leveled up while knowing Nasty Plot.
Competitive Uses: Very fast with access to Swords Dance and Nasty Plot to sweep. Its new Dark typing gives it STAB on Dark Pulse, Knock Off, and Sucker Punch.
Is It Overpowered?: While it is fast and has access to Sucker Punch, the abundance of Fairy-types as well as things like Landorus-T will give it trouble. It is rather frail, especially on the physical side, and it doesn't hit very hard without a boost.
Movesets:
Gorochu @ Life Orb
Ability: Lightningrod
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot

A physical set can utilize Fire Punch to hit Grass-types.
252 Atk Life Orb Mold Breaker Gorochu Fire Punch vs. 252 HP / 24 Def Ferrothorn: 291-343 (82.6 - 97.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Stats: 70 HP / 100 Atk / 60 Def / 110 SpA / 85 SpD / 125 Spe | 550 BST
New Moves: Aromatherapy, Dazzling Gleam, Energy Ball, Recover, Shadow Ball, Surf, Sweet Scent
Custom Elements: N/A
Height + Weight: 0.9 m, 25.4 kg
Description: Raichu-Alola's psychic powers intensify when fed lots of sweets, giving it newfound strength. Its ears become longer and pointier, it gains streaks of brown in its fur, and it emits a stronger aroma of Alolan sweets. Evolves when leveled up while holding a Big Malasada.
Competitive Uses: Pretty much a better Raichu-Alola with more coverage options.
Is It Overpowered?: Fast but frail with exploitable physical bulk. Vulnerable to Pursuit trapping and priority.
Movesets:
Gorochu-Alola @ Life Orb
Ability: Surge Surfer
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

Pre-Evolution: Shiftry
Pokémon Name: Tenguwa

New Moves: Air Slash, Earth Power, Earthquake, Superpower, Wood Hammer
Custom Elements: N/A
Height + Weight: 1.7 m, 86.6 kg
Description: Tenguwa is taller with larger fans, longer hair, and a crown of leaves on its head. Evolves with a Dusk stone.
Competitive Uses: Nasty Plot sweeper, it can hit hard after a boost. It has okay bulk and speed as well, with STAB Leaf Storm and Dark Pulse and coverage in Focus Blast, Hurricane, or Earth Power, or Defog for an offensive Defogger. Chlorophyll could be used on sun teams.
Is It Overpowered?: 4x weakness to U-turn and weaknesses to Fire, Ice, and Fairy aren't really good in OU. It also wishes it was faster outside of the sun.
Movesets:
Tenguwa @ Grassium-Z / Flynium-Z
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Leaf Storm
- Dark Pulse
- Hurricane

Z-Leaf Storm hits things like Tapu Fini and Koko harder without the SpA drop, but Z-Hurricane smashes Tapu Bulu, Mega Venusaur, and Volcarona on the switch without the horrible accuracy.

Pre-Evolution: Ludicolo
Pokémon Name: Kabbrero
Pokémon Typing:

Movesets:
Tenguwa @ Choice Specs / Fightinium-Z
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Leaf Storm / Petal Dance

Z-Focus Blast smacks Ferrothorn, a menace to rain teams, without missing, though specs Focus Blast hits almost as hard.
252 SpA Kabbrero All-Out Pummeling (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 232+ SpD Ferrothorn: 244-288 (69.3 - 81.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Kabbrero Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 232+ SpD Ferrothorn: 230-272 (65.3 - 77.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Not trying to nitpick but you may be interested to know that Ludicolo has had an illustrious career in Doubles:
Good grief, I didn't know that at all! I'm surprised that Ludicolo remains viable throughout all of its career in VGC format despite all those Megas, Tapus and Ultra Beasts. Of course, we focus on a Singles OU format here, but we will keep anything like this in mind if we ever have a Doubles format for Fourth Frontier.

Pardon me for double-posting, but it had to be said.

Does to high participation within two days, I decided to put a deadline at Monday, so if you have WIP, be sure to include at least the Pokemon essentials (Name, Type, Stats, Abilities, New Moves, and Height + Weight) if you want your submissions to be qualified for voting.

After we get the first winners, I may hopefully have a Spreadsheet for Fourth Frontier ready, as well as working on a new Discord server for this Pet Mod for Fourth Frontier-focused discussion.

I just wanna say that so far, the submissions are pretty varied and most are pretty faithful to the "pre-evolutions". I'm not real expert of OU so I couldn't tell what's really overpowered atm, but I will be sure that over-the-top submissions will be quick-checked to prevent too many borked submissions to win at once.

One last thing; if you want to apply yourself to be part of the council, be sure to send me a Discussion, but be sure to have an actual career with Pet Mods. If you want to be a spreadsheet editor as well, be my guest by applying a Discussion the same way you want to be among council.

Pre-Evolution: Shrifty

Pokémon Name: Dakurifu

Pokémon Typing: Dark/Grass

Abilities: Chlorophyll / Early Bird / Thick Leaves

Stats: HP 90 / Atk 110 / Def 90 / SpA 80 / SpD 79 / Spe 131 | 570 BST

New Moves: U-Turn, Ice/Fire/Drain/Mach Punch, Taunt, Rapid Spin, Gunk Shot
Custom Elements: Thick Leaves (Bug/Fairy version of thick fat. Bug/Fairy-type moves against this Pokemon deal damage with a halved attacking stat.)

Height + Weight: Height: 2.0 m |  Weight: 107.5 (100 BP)

Description: Darkurifu has a "katana" case on it's back. It loses its white hair and instead has a "Japanese Samurai" helmet. The leaves on its hand are replaced three wood-like fingers. It instead has multiple leaves covering its body, shaped like battle armor.

Competitive Uses: Darkurifu is meant as an anti-hazard lead. With a decent ability (Thick Leaves), and great 131 speed, it can out speeds a lot of OU threats in the tier. It can now use taunt, which allows it to stop a lot of other leads. Darkurifu (for the most part), is able to beat Non-scarf Landorus-Therian variants, Tapu Koko, Ferrothorn, and Excadrill. However, it still struggles against common bug and fire types (in general). It also lacks both rock and ground moves for the coverage, which it would need too beat most bug and fire types, as mentioned before. Though outside of that, Darkurifu still has a great niche for being a fast lead, that can check quite a few Pokemon.

Is It Overpowered?: As mentioned, it still has a fair share of weaknesses with the lack of coverage, and bad typing. Most common bug and fire types easily beat it (a good portion of the time). The lack of rock/ground coverage is really what causes it to struggle against (mostly), Charizard X/Y, Heatran, Victini, and Volcarona. However, due too it's speed tier, it can deal with stuff like non-scarf variants of Blacephon, or non-scarf variants of Victini. But, besides that, its biggest problem is against scarf users (unless it's scarfed itself). A lot of Pokemon who use a choice scarf, usually have a move that hits Darkurifu. As mentioned, its poor typing leaves it an easy target for (practically), anything with U-turn, or fire moves. You can easily negate this problem by just giving it a scarf, but it doesn't help the fact that it rather lacks against most scarfers. But, generally, to sum this all up, it's the biggest problem with it, is it's typing. That's the big thing keeping it back, simply - it's typing.

(Possible) Movesets:

Darkurifu @ Life Orb
Ability: Thick Leaves
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Sucker Punch/Throat Chop
- U-turn
- Seed Bomb
- Leaf Blade

Darkurifu @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Thick Leaves
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant/Jolly Nature
- U-Turn
- Knock Off/Throat Chop
- Ice Punch / Fire Punch
- Leaf Blade

Decided to make a Discord server earlier! There you can discuss about submission ideas, general talk about the Pet Mod, off-topic subjects such as mainline and fanmade Pokemon games alike, post your arts (for this Pet Mod or just for anything else), and more!

https://discord.gg/raMXBgj

And remember; there is always time to apply to be part of the Council Members! Just send me a discussion and see if I could qualify you for being in the Council Members, as right now there's only me. Same goes for Spreadsheet editors!

Voting phase is open! Here are the reminders of the voting phase rules in the OP post.
  • During the voting phase, you will vote up to three submissions. Voting for a paired submissions for a brenched evolution will count as one. You can self-vote, but only for one submission/paired submission per slated Pokemon, and you may not vote to just your submissions either. Bear in mind that the order of voting will not matter here (example; user 1, user 2, user 3 will equal user 3, user 2 and user 1 in term of amount of vote).
For this voting phase, since Raichu and Alola Raichu are technically brenched Pokemon, thus in the same family line. As such, the paired submissions (Gorochu and Gorochu-Alola from the same user) will be voted as paired. Since the name Gorochu is the only evolution name used, be sure to specify the name of the submitter instead. Since all of the submissions are on this page, you only need to go from the top to bottom of the page.

Ludicolo: Demon Dragon, Origin0, lyd
Raichu: Origin0, Spook, Samtendo09

I think I need to precise:
For this voting phase, since Raichu and Alola Raichu are technically brenched Pokemon, thus in the same family line. As such, the paired submissions (Gorochu and Gorochu-Alola from the same user) will be voted as altogether.

Reason for that is that if both Raichus' evos are taken from different users, it may lead to BST inconsistency.

Ludicolo: Demon Dragon, Pika Xreme, Yung Dramps
Raichu/Alolan-Raichu: Samtendo9, Pika Xreme, Spooks
