Arceus-Fairy serves as a potent physical wall and threatening setup sweeper thanks to its well-rounded bulk and great defensive typing. Earth Power makes Arceus-Fairy more threatening as a setup sweeper, letting it hit Steel- , Fire- and Poison-types such as non-Latiasite Solgaleo, Red Orb Raging Bolt, Landorus, and Arceus-Poison, who are normally able to shrug off Judgment. Will-O-Wisp gives Arceus-Fairy more defensive utility, and lets it cripple common physical wallbreakers such as Urshifu-R, Iron Boulder, and Dragonite. Surf gives Arceus-Fairy a way to hit the aformentioned Steel-, Fire-, and Poison-types for neutral damage, while also being more effective against Latiasite variants of Magearna, Solgaleo, and Galarian Slowking as well as Pinsirite Gouging Fire and Hisuian Arcanine. Arceus-Fairy is able to forgo Defense EVs for more Speed if preferred, giving it the option to outpace foes like Lunala, Landorus, and Hisuian Arcanine. Arceus-Fairy's ability to check threatening physical wallbreakers is appreciated by special walls like Galarian Slowking, Garganacl, and Lunala; in return, they can take on special threats like Eternatus, Red Orb Landorus, and Raging Bolt. Special walls such as Galarian Slowking and Lunala as well as Latiasite Solgaleo are all troublesome for Arceus-Fairy to break through, so teammates that can reliable pressure these such as Urshifu-R, Gouging Fire, and Hisuian Samurott are all good partners.
