By a large margin, FloristtheBudew wins this week, congrats!

This week, we're building around Rotom-H! While its place in the VR is a controversial topic, it's no mistake to say that it does have its own applications here and there. Basically, it's kind of like Rotom-W but with the Fire typing giving it other uses and roles, giving it a different set of threats that it can beat handily.

Deadline of building on Saturday GMT noon (or sometime close!)

decided to do scarf electroweb with rotom heat just for some funky speed control and to outspeed stuff i guess, standard + e web

then i added goggles wide guard aegi which complements rotom heat really well as they dont share any weaknesses and rotom beats other steels

hydreigon i gave tailwind for more speed control, this dragon can compete with other dragons and then volcanion and psychic/ghost types

next i added mega kang, felt like the team could use fake out, gotta love kang she fits so well on almost anything

i added lando next bc lando and i went with AV but this is super standard lando, provides intim, cycles in and out, beats steels and sun

here is gastro in the back, helps so much vs azu and other waters

how to use this team: dont bring it vs zard

Garde + Fire is a pretty standard core, I went with Fast encore garde here to lock down slower threats. Garde breaks down Dragons for Rotom-H while Rotom breaks down steels. Then I added Jirachi as a way to help Garde and also for extra speed control with Icy wind. Azu was added as a Fire check and a wincon when paired with Rachi or Scrafty which acts as bulky support and can help against Talon and Azu with Quick Guard. Last I added LO kyurem because genies looked problematic and I wanted something else to be able to KO Zard that was less passive than Rotom.

Decided to use Diancie + Rotom-W as core, and automatically knew that Aegislash needs to be in the team, thus giving Wide Guard support, a Mega Kangaskhan switch-in, and a solid Fairy check. Then, I added Kyurem-B to counter more specific threats such as Genies, Rotom-W, and Mega Venusaur. The need to check Rain and Trick Room was still a concern, so Amoonguss filled in the 5th slot. For my last mon, I wanted something that can scare Mega Kangaskhan off, so I chose Keldeo. Plus, Quick Guard + Spore is Fire!

This was a team I built almost a year ago but it's really good and still works now. I started off with suicune + breloom as a good twind core and sleep. I added diancie because diancie + breloom is good and I like diancie. Next aegislash provided wide guard to help vs lando and as a secondary check to kang, ferro etc. Lando t + rotom because it's one of my favourite cores, being able to lock down opposing lando t, kangs, steels with intimidate + wow and giving you phenomenal manoeuvrability, letting diancie and breloom wreck. I opted for rotom h over w because I had a water already.

I can't remember what the EVs do but the team works so it's all good

This is probably one of my favourite teams at the moment. Mega Gar's surge in popularity inspired me to make a mega gar team a while back to utilise its strengths to their fullest, and this was the result. The idea is to constantly pressure steels with Mega gar/Hydrei/Lando and rotom to help Sylveon set up later, which is made much easier with shadow tag. With taunt Gar can trap trick room setters and support Pokemon like amoonguss and use their lack of presence to help bring in Sylveon so it can set up calm minds. Other sets are relatively self explanatory.

i love gard + steel killer and since this weeks mon was heattom i decided to try it. idea behind is specs is to be able to hit all relevant gard switch ins (tran, amoo, aegi, ferro, rachi) and blast em w/ specs overheat/hp ground. outspeeds 252+ base 70s by 3 points so you also outspeed gard and hydra so you can kill a mon and hire off a single target hvoice or sub up. 112+ ohkos non av lando and has a good change to survive 252+ kang return. lando bc lando lol helps against faster gard checks (gar) and gives momentum w/ u-turn so i can hvoice more. stab eq hits poison + steels which is also nice. amoo helps against water types and provides pressure under tr and consistent redirection for gard so it can set tr. aegi is mandatory steel, provides wg support which is nice and a good defensive pivot. hydra rounds out the team w/ second water/fire resist and SUB to punish people trying to stop tr.
love gard semiroom <3

This week, we end up with a tie between AuraRayquaza and Matame with two votes each. I'm going to break the tie here with a vote on AuraRayquaza because, personally, I feel that his team is more sound structurally and gives the player more options in a sense. Thus, AuraRayquaza wins the week!

This week, we're going to build around the classic in Salamence! Known for Intimidate, stellar coverage, and Tailwind all in one package, Salamence has with it great versatility. However, its Speed still leaves it outrun by the likes of Mega Diancie and offensive Thundurus and it is somewhat frail-ish.

Deadline of building on Saturday GMT noon (or close)!

darkloom is fire so i added those two first. added aegi next to help fix the fairy matchup w/ flash cannon and wide guard. then went kang bc it naturally pairs well with brelom but i added s u b s t i t u t e so when people protect on the expected fake out i can sub and get momentum. used tree's spread for this from the teambuilding shop so s/o. cune was added bc suicune + loom is another cool core and provides speed control for breloom so fast spores. wanted intimidate but i also wanted another fire resist so i added salamence w/ protect since we already have tailwind so i could surprise people or w/e and i love protect in general lol.
teams not the best (obvi) but it's super fun lol

e: im actually retarded and got confused but i built this w/ ShinyMedicham7 n__n

mence HO

i used the standard mence but w/o tailwind and added thundurus and tailwind talon for speed control. talon also gives a good way to deal with grasses. scarf rotom-w bc lando is such a problem, kang to help paralyze and set up, aegislash provides much needed wide guard

I made an RMT on this team quite a while ago and its still pretty neat. Also gotta give credit to Deoxys Speed and Elise on the foroms for suggesting some alterations that I added to the team (adding Aegislash and changing Mence to Tailwind from Scarf respectively).

Salamence @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Stone Edge

Aegislash @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature

- Shadow Ball
- King's Shield
- Wide Guard

The basic point of this team is to see how much Deoxys-A can bop before it dies and then to clean up with a whole bunch of strong stuff. Keldeo, Salamence and Deoxys-A threaten steel types that help stop Diancie which in return takes out stuff that threatens Keldeo, Aegislash and Deoxys-A like Talonflame. Intimidate Salamence helps the team live hits because its slightly frail and Tailwind is neat for opposing Tailwind and any choice scarfers I don't out speed. Weavile's Fake Out lets Keldeo, Diancie and Deoxys-A get some nice kills stuff that should kill them and all the priority finishes off anything that lives on a sash. Aegislash helps the defensive core, offers another Spore immunity and helps with Trick Room.
