Diancie @ Choice Specs
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Earth Power
- Power Gem
- Hidden Power Fire

Diancie's great offensive stats, typing, and movepool allow it to become a feared Choice Specs user in NU. Moonblast and Power Gem are both powerful STAB moves Diancie can use to OHKO Pokemon such as Passimian and Sneasel, respectively. Earth Power and Hidden Power Fire can both be used as options to hit Diancie's checks such as Steelix and Ferroseed, respectively, on the switch. Diancie's amazing defenses and great defensive typing let it easily switch into Pokemon such as Houndoom and spam its moves to punch holes in opposing teams. Diancie should be careful when locking itself into moves such as Hidden Power Fire when setup sweepers such as Swords Dance Rhydon are on the opposing team, as a Choice-locked Diancie can easily be used as setup bait. Steel-types such as Klinklang and the aforementioned Steelix can take out Diancie with ease if it is Choice-locked into a move they don't have trouble with, so teammates such as Slowbro and Medicham are useful to have. Magmortar and Rotom are also good teammates, as they can deal with Grass- and Ground-types that trouble Diancie, such as Sceptile and Rhydon.

Diancie's great offensive stats, typing, and movepool allow it to become a feared Choice Specs user in NU. Moonblast and Power Gem are both powerful STAB moves Diancie can use to OHKO Pokemon such as Passimian and Sneasel, respectively. Earth Power and Psychic Hidden Power Fire can both be used as options to hit Diancie's checks such as Steelix and Golbat Ferroseed, (change accordingly to the changes made in the set overview, also if diancie wanted to hit golbat hard power gem would just be the better option) respectively, on the switch. Diancie's decent Speed tier 'decent' is kinda overselling it, it's Base 50 Speed which is the same as Vileplume , access to Clear Body you mention it's ability, Clear Body here but don't really give any positives attributes it gains by having Clea Body as it's ability, either just remove it or attempt to expand on it, but like there's not a lot of to expand on so imo just leave it out, and great defenses allows it to spam its moves on opponents, dealing powerful neutral or super effective damage and punch holes in opposing teams. this last point is good, just emphasis more that thanks to diancie's skyhigh defensive stats and it's good defensive typing which allows it to come in against X pokemon and start firing off immensly powerful attacks Diancie needs to beware of being taken advantage of when Choice-locked as it can be used as setup bait to a Pokemon that resists the currently locked move such as Klinklang if Psychic i guess just change this to Moonblast, although (252+ SpA Choice Specs Diancie Moonblast vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Klinklang: 122-144 (43.1 - 50.8%) -- 3.9% chance to 2HKO), so maybe just merge this with the below? or emphasis the general cautions it should take in locking itself into a move against the likes of rhydon or passimian etc is chosen. Steel-types such as the aforementioned Steelix and Klinklang can take out Diancie with ease if it is Choice-locked into a move they don't have trouble with, therefore teammates such as Slowbro and Medicham are useful to have. Magmortar and Slowking slowking doesn't deal with grass- or ground-types well, replace with rotom are also good teammates as they can deal with Grass- and Ground-types that trouble Diancie, such as Sceptile and Rhydon.

Earth Power and Hidden Power Fire can both be used as options to hit Diancie's checks such as Steelix and Ferroseed, respectively, on the switch. Diancie's moderate Speed tier, amazing defenses, and great defensive typing lets let it easily switch into Pokemon such as Houndoom spam its moves on opponents, dealing powerful neutral or super effective damage and (slightly above the character limit and there was really no easy way to fix this such that it was grammatically correct+this is kind of fluff anyway) so it can punch holes in opposing teams. Diancie needs to beware of being taken advantage of when Choice-locked as it can be used as setup bait to a Pokemon that resists the currently locked move such as Dragon Dance Rhydon (Rhydon doesn't get Dragon Dance) if Hidden Power Fire is chosen. Diancie should be careful when locking itself into moves such as Hidden Power Fire when setup sweepers such as (If you have a replacement for DD, put it here.) done, thanks!
tweaked some things a little bit to reduce the character count by a bit.
Also my bad, I accidentally wrote Dragon Dance instead of Swords Dance.
This is now done though.
