The core for round one is Rhyperior + Scizor! Rhyperior can be an interesting stealth rocker, which can beat defoggers such as rotom-heat and moltres, while simultaneously having a strong offensive typing with STABs that very few pokemon resist both of. It is of great benefit to scizor, as it is able to deal with some of it's typical answers in the form of heattom, moltres and non HP grass manectric.
Remember that you must include these two pokemon in the team, but the choices of the sets you run are totally up to you, so run as wild of sets as you like! The matchups for this round are below. The following 7 players have been selected by a random number generator as seeds, and will start playing in round 2,

No round 2 will be a different core which DubFreaknakeeb will be choosing before round 2 starts, so don't worry about building yet, apologies for not making this clear.

Alright so the 3 games that haven't been played yet, y'all have an extension until Tuesday 8 PM EDT. I understand you all tried to schedule at least one time during the whole week, so I'm giving you the extension to settle it out. Umbreon is an often overlooked but very interesting cleric option on teams, who also has single turn recovery like florges unlike sylveon. It's access to synchronise allows it to punish enemy status being used against it, while it has options like foul play to punish physical set up sweepers and powerful physical attackers, or other options like curse to sweep itself.
Silvally is an interesting pokemon in UU, with access to parting shot allowing it to support various pokemon in attempts to set up, and a solid movepool with access to moves like Defog, Toxic, Flamethrower, U-turn, as well as its own signature move Multi-attack. Due to a lack of recovery however, it often needs to be paired with a cleric in order to achieve much over a game, which if you choose to umbreon will be able to perform here. It most commonly takes the typings of Steel or Fairy, which would both compliment umbreon nicely due to bug and fighting resistances respectively, but you are free to choose whichever type you want here, and note that if choosing a normal type silvally you can use any item on it, such as Darkinium-Z for Z-Parting Shot!
