Complete List of Gen 6 XY Little Cup Pokémon (STATS & INFO INCLUDED)

Goddess Briyella

Banned deucer.
Compiled here is a list of all the newly introduced Pokemon to the Little Cup metagame, with stats and information included. This cover-all was put together so that anyone can have a quick review of what the new Pokemon's strengths and functions are, so that they might be considered in an XY LC team, and this also serves to give players a heads up of what they're up against should they face any of these in battle. Please bear in mind that the descriptions listed with each mon are only to give a general idea of the Pokemon's capabilities and are not meant to reflect what is to be standard or necessarily recommended in a set. XY LC is barely upon us, and so many new strategies and ideas with these new mons have yet to surface. All of the actual analyses of these will come later. ♥

Have fun teambuilding!

Chespin

Abilities: Overgrow, Bulletproof
Base stats:
56 HP / 61 Atk / 65 Def / 48 SAtk / 45 SDef / 38 Spe

Access to powerful Rock attacks like Stone Edge help to cover 4 of the 5 weaknesses the Grass type has, and this helps set Chespin apart from the other Grass starters, as well as Grass type LC mons in general. It also gets Spikes and cool coverage options such as Aerial Ace and Poison Jab to go with its decent attacking power. The exclusive Bulletproof ability also grants it an awesome immunity to many ball/bomb/blast based attacks.

Fennekin

Abilities: Blaze, Magician
Base stats:
40 HP / 45 Atk / 40 Def / 62 SAtk / 60 SDef / 60 Spe

Having strong Psychic attacks in its arsenal help it put pressure on opposing Fighting types as well as the Poison types who have a new-found offensive use, and therefore you can expect to see those. Resistances to Ice, Steel, and Fairy are somewhat important and so pure Fire typing has an unexpected new defensive acclaim this generation. Magician is a new ability that allows Fennekin to steal items from foes while attacking them.

Froakie

Abilities: Torrent, Protean
Base stats:
41 HP / 56 Atk / 40 Def / 62 SAtk / 44 SDef / 71 Spe

Having respectable Speed and offenses, Froakie is bound to make a splash. The new ability Protean allows it to basically get STAB on every move, providing an instant 1.5x boost to every attack it delivers, while also changing its type to match the moves it uses. This can be useful when you want to change your typing to something that can withstand certain types of attacks, while not limiting your offensive presence. This ability makes Froakie quite unique in LC.

Bunnelby

Abilities: Pickup, Cheek Pouch, Huge Power
Base stats:
38 HP / 36 Atk / 38 Def / 32 SAtk / 36 SDef / 57 Spe

Bunnelby is blessed with the ability Huge Power, which doubles its Attack stat, and it's also capable of using a variety of great physical moves to take advantage of it, like Stone Edge and Bounce. It can make use of Agility to give it a speed advantage over foes, and it can also make use of U-turn to keep momentum in its team's favor. It also gets Spikes to help its teammates out offensively.

Fletchling

Abilities: Big Pecks, Gale Wings
Base stats:
45 HP / 50 Atk / 43 Def / 40 SAtk / 38 SDef / 62 Spe

The new Gale Wings ability makes all Flying type moves have +1 priority, and this is notably powerful in conjuction with STAB Acrobatics, as well as Roost, and it can even get off a fast Tailwind before going down, to give its incoming teammates a temporary but huge speed advantage. It gets Swords Dance to make it even more offensively threatening, and it even gets the powerful Overheat attack, to roast the Steels that wall Flying attacks.

Scatterbug

Abilities: Shield Dust, Compound Eyes, Friend Guard
Base stats:
38 HP / 35 Atk / 40 Def / 27 SAtk / 25 SDef / 35 Spe

This generation's generic worm Pokemon is going nowhere fast. It gets Stun Spore but nothing else of much use, and should not be expected to be effective, or even used, in XY Little Cup.

Litleo

Abilities: Rivalry, Unnerve, Moxie
Base stats:
62 HP / 50 Atk / 58 Def / 73 SAtk / 54 SDef / 72 Spe

Being the first Fire type with a Ghost immunity, Litleo has a unique defensive tweak that other Fire types do not possess. This, combined with its six resistances, allows it a safety net at times so that it can dish out decently powerful STAB Fire attacks. It gets the Unnerve ability to prevent foes from benefiting from Berries, and it gets the Moxie ability to allow it to become more powerful the more Pokemon it knocks out.

Flabébé

Abilities: Flower Veil, Symbiosis
Base stats:
44 HP / 38 Atk / 39 Def / 61 SAtk / 79 SDef / 42 Spe

This new Fairy type has a plethora of support options to use and the special bulk and resistances to pull them off while still maintaining a decent offensive presence. It has a powerful STAB Moonblast to punish the Dark and Fighting types who underestimate it. It can heal the whole team of status ailments with Aromatherapy and can restore the health of itself or its teammates with Wish.

Skiddo

Abilities: Sap Sipper, Grass Pelt
Base stats:
66 HP / 65 Atk / 48 Def / 62 SAtk / 57 SDef / 52 Spe

With the ability to heal itself via STAB Horn Leech and also Milk Drink, it can be expected to stick around long enough to make its mark in battle. It gets Bulk Up to help its physical prowess and it also gets Brick Break to nail the Pokemon that might attempt to wall it with Steel typing or threaten it with Ice STAB. If you're looking for a self-healing Pokemon that is immune to powder based moves as well as resistant to Water/Ground/Electric attacks and can boost its own power, here you are.

Pancham

Abilities: Iron Fist, Mold Breaker, Scrappy
Base stats:
67 HP / 82 Atk / 62 Def / 46 SAtk / 48 SDef / 43 Spe

Pancham is the only known Pokemon in LC who will have the move Parting Shot, which cuts the offenses of the foe and also allows the user to switch to safety and bring in something more suitable for the situation, all in one turn. It gets Iron Fist to boost its punching attacks, Mold Breaker to override the abilities of foes, and Scrappy to punish the Ghost types who usually have nothing to fear from STAB Fighting attacks. Players should think twice before switching something into this thing.

Espurr

Abilities: Keen Eye, Infiltrator, Own Tempo
Base stats:
62 HP / 48 Atk / 54 Def / 63 SAtk / 60 SDef / 68 Spe

Espurr has a ton of annoying moves that can make it effective in Little Cup. It gets status moves like Thunder Wave to cripple foes and Yawn to provoke a switch (try it with hazards) or put something to sleep. It can use Fake Out to waste turns of the opponent's weather or field effects. It interestingly gets Dark Pulse but not Shadow Ball, meaning its coverage for opposing Ghosts and Psychics can't be foiled by the foe switching in a Normal type for free.

Honedge

Ability: No Guard
Base stats:
45 HP / 80 Atk / 100 Def / 35 SAtk / 37 SDef / 28 Spe

This popular addition to Little Cup has a unique typing that grants it several welcome resistances and immunities, including a Fairy resistance. Its gargantuan physical defense lets it put pressure on many physically inclined foes, and its decent Attack power can be made insane with Swords Dance. These traits, combined with its access to the unresisted Ghost/Fighting coverage and STAB Iron Head to smash Fairy types, make Honedge quite formidable.

Spritzee

Abilities: Healer, Aroma Veil
Base stats:
78 HP / 52 Atk / 60 Def / 63 SAtk / 65 SDef / 23 Spe

Its decent specially offensive presence and overall bulk help it to get off strong attacks. It is able to set up with Calm Mind, it gets unique coverage in Thunderbolt and Energy Ball, and STAB Draining Kiss helps in its longevity in battle. If you ever consider trying Trick Room in Little Cup, Spritzee would make a nice candidate for a Trick Room setter who can make excellent use of its poor Speed while under the effects of it.

Swirlix

Abilities: Sweet Veil, Unburden
Base stats:
62 HP / 48 Atk / 66 Def / 59 SAtk / 57 SDef / 49 Spe

With its awesome coverage and the ability Unburden (doubles Speed after item loss/consumption), it can fairly easily make life hard for opponents. In addition to its respectable Fairy STAB attacks, it also gets Surf, Psychic, Flamethrower, and Thunderbolt, making it hard to stop once it gets set up with Calm Mind and loses or consumes its item. This Pokemon almost assures that Steel/Poison coverage will be needed this generation. It's best to end Swirlix as quickly as possible if facing one.

Inkay

Abilties: Contrary, Suction Cups, Infiltrator
Base stats:
53 HP / 54 Atk / 53 Def / 37 SAtk / 46 SDef / 45 Spe

Inkay is a cool Pokemon that can figuratively and literally turn the tables on opponents. Its ability Contrary allows it to benefit from stat lowering moves, including the new Sticky Web hazard that lowers Speed when a Pokemon enters battle. Alternatively, it may be able to run low Speed and make use of Trick Room. It gets Topsy-Turvy to screw mons who rely on setup. Lastly, it gets the awesome Superpower, which not only has an incredible 120 Base Power and provides good coverage, but also increases Inkay's Attack and Defense after every use with Contrary.

Binacle

Abilities: Tough Claws, Sniper, Pickpocket
Base stats:
42 HP / 52 Atk / 67 Def / 39 SAtk / 56 SDef / 50 Spe

Generation 6 brings a new Shell Smasher with awesome, unique traits to the tier. It gets incredible physical coverage, including but not limited to Earthquake, Cross Chop, Shadow Claw, X-Scissor, and Poison Jab, as well as its Rock/Water STAB. Its contact moves are increased further in power by its ability Tough Claws, making it very effective as a physically offensive powerhouse after a Shell Smash boost.

Skrelp

Abilities: Poison Point, Poison Touch, Adaptability
Base stats:
50 HP / 60 Atk / 60 Def / 60 SAtk / 60 SDef / 30 Spe

Its Poison typing grants it nice resistances to Fairy and Fighting, and its Water typing makes Ground types think twice about coming in to threaten it. Adaptability lets it do massive damage with its STAB attacks, making its super effective hits with them deadly. Its abysmal Speed hardly limits it due to its decent bulk and ability to do a ton of damage in just one hit, right off the bat. Fire, Ground, Rock, Fairy, and Grass types beware.

Clauncher

Ability: Mega Launcher
Base stats:
50 HP / 53 Atk / 62 Def / 58 SAtk / 63 SDef / 44 Spe

Clauncher is able to go physical or special, getting strong attacks it can use with both offensive stats, and it also has decent enough bulk to take a few hits. Crabhammer got a buff to 100 Base Power this generation, and its ability Mega Launcher makes Water Pulse equivalent to a STAB Surf with a chance of causing confusion status. In addition to being able to run physical or special sets, it also gets U-turn to help with maintaining momentum for its team.

Helioptile

Abilities: Dry Skin, Sand Veil, Solar Power
Base stats:
44 HP / 38 Atk / 33 Def / 61 SAtk / 43 SDef / 70 Spe

This very unique Pokemon is not only the first Electric Pokemon in LC with a Ghost immunity, but it also gets abilities that allow it to shine under several different weather conditions, making it incredibly versatile and able to fit onto almost any weather based team. Dry Skin gives it a unique Water immunity that provides healing. Helioptile's signature attack is the new Parabolic Charge, which delivers a strong Electric hit while healing it in the process. Also, being respectably fast and getting STAB on Volt Switch for momentum, this thing is sure to put in work if used properly.

Tyrunt

Abilities: Strong Jaw, Sturdy
Base stats:
58 HP / 89 Atk / 77 Def / 45 SAtk / 45 SDef / 48 Spe

Tyrunt is undoubtedly one of the most frightening physical threats of this new generation. It gets Dragon Dance and its ability Strong Jaw gives it a 1.5x power boost (practically STAB) on all Bite-based attacks, including Poison Fang to destroy the Fairy types who attempt to check it due to their type advantage. Also worth noting is that Tyrunt is the only Generation 6 mon in LC to get Stealth Rock. Deciding what four moves to run on Tyrunt should make for an interesting time.

Amaura

Abilities: Refrigerate, Snow Warning
Base stats:
77 HP / 59 Atk / 50 Def / 67 SAtk / 63 SDef / 46 Spe

Snover now has competition as an auto-Hail inducer in Little Cup. While Amaura does have a Ground weakness, which makes it threatened by Sand abusers such as Drilbur despite Snow Warning removing Sand, its typing does allow it to take a hit from Fire types that may try to use Sun to their advantage, whereas Snover cannot. Another thing Amaura has over Snover is its resistance to Flying (an important attacking type in LC), a type of move that typically would easily take out Snover.

Goomy

Abilities: Sap Sipper, Hydration, Gooey
Base stats: 45 HP / 50 Atk / 35 Def / 55 SAtk / 75 SDef / 40 Spe

Goomy's Dragon typing gives it useful resistances to Grass, Fire, Water, and Electric, and its Sap Sipper ability can make Grass moves completely useless against it, including Spore/Sleep Powder. Gooey is a new ability that lowers the foe's Speed if they make contact, and this somewhat mitigates its rather sub-par physical bulk by providing a speed advantage after being hit. Goomy has respectable special bulk and it also gets Sludge Bomb/Wave for the inevitable Fairy threats.

Phantump

Abilities: Natural Cure, Frisk, Harvest
Base stats:
43 HP / 70 Atk / 48 Def / 50 SAtk / 60 SDef / 38 Spe

A strange Pokemon with a never-before-seen dual typing, Phantump has several amazing attributes that let it stand out. All three of its abilities can be used to great effect. Leech Seed can be used with a Berry and Harvest to make it annoying and hard to deal with. It gets Will-O-Wisp to cripple physical attackers, and it also gets STAB Horn Leech to deal significant Grass-type damage while healing itself in the process.

Pumpkaboo

Abilities: Pickup, Frisk, Insomnia
Base stats vary slightly in Pumpkaboo's four different forms...
Pumpkaboo (Small): 44 HP / 66 Atk / 70 Def / 44 SAtk / 55 SDef / 56 Spe
Pumpkaboo (Average): 49 HP / 66 Atk / 70 Def / 44 SAtk / 55 SDef / 51 Spe
Pumpkaboo (Large): 54 HP / 66 Atk / 70 Def / 44 SAtk / 55 SDef / 46 Spe
Pumpkaboo (Super): 59 HP / 66 Atk / 70 Def / 44 SAtk / 55 SDef / 41 Spe

Another new Pokemon with the new Grass/Ghost typing, Pumpkaboo has a few tricks up its sleeves. It gets the exclusive move Trick-Or-Treat, which adds Ghost typing to its target, making foes more vulnerable to Pumpkaboo's STAB Ghost attacks. Pumpkaboo is also the first Grass type to have access to damaging Fire type attacks, including Flame Charge and Fire Blast. With Insomnia, it becomes immune to Sleep status.

Bergmite

Abilities: Own Tempo, Ice Body, Sturdy
Base stats:
55 HP / 69 Atk / 85 Def / 32 SAtk / 35 SDef / 28 Spe

With its decent base Attack power and high physical bulk, it appears to be a perfect user of the move Avalanche, which turns into a 120 Base Power STAB attack if Bergmite takes damage before using it. It can turn its low speed into a weapon with Gyro Ball to punish the Rock types that threaten it, as well as Fairy types. It also has Stone Edge to smash Fire types and it keeps them from switching in without fear. It is the only user of Rapid Spin among the Pokemon.

Noibat

Abilities: Frisk, Infiltrator, Telepathy
Base stats:
40 HP / 30 Atk / 35 Def / 45 SAtk / 40 SDef / 55 Spe

Noibat has insanely strong STAB attacks in Draco Meteor and Hurricane, but its stats hold it back from being overly potent despite access to these. It gets Frisk to reveal held items, and it gets Infiltrator to hit foes even if they are behind Substitutes. Noibat has access to interesting coverage options such as Wild Charge and X-Scissor, but with 30 base Attack, it won't be making heads roll. However, it does get U-turn to help keep momentum in its team's favor.

Thank you to Goddess Briyella for making this thread. However, since every Pokemon of it is included in the overall threat list, I am going to sticky that thread instead. If anyone wants to post in this thread, they can use it to describe their favorite Generation 6 Little Cup Pokemon and why. It does not need to be competitive.

Awesome thread! These Pokemon make me really want to get into LC this time around. Definitely gonna start with Litleo (sorry, Fennekin), and Swirlix looks surprisingly good. Lots of good-looking mons this gen. Gonna play when I get the chance.
