Chinese New Year is a culturally insensitive term. Many nationalities celebrate Lunar New Year and call their celebrations many different things. After all, it's not Chinese New Year in Vietnam. In 2021 please take this opportunity to learn and grow from it. And also change the name.
As a viet person I can 100 % agree on that. irl most viet people I know take it as an offense if you call it differently. I personally don‘t care but thats maybe because I have been raised by the german standards...

It's a Chinese New Year Festival, that means we want to celebrate the Chinese festivity, not the Lunar New Year and the other amazing cultural festivities of other countries. The main focus of our event is, indeed, China because we are collaborating with the Chinese room and it's one of the most popular festivity in the world. Your comments are really apreciated and we will probably make it more inclusive next time! Thank you!

Hello!
Due to some complications in scheduling and the like the first Anime and Manga room's event for this could not take place, in it's stead the one for today will be a double header of both planned events.
Be sure to show up to this one!

Here we are at the end of this incredible and exciting ride. We had a lot of fun organising it and we sincerely hope so had you partaking in it. Before officially announcing the winner, a bit of thanks. First we want to say a big THANKS to all the rooms involved in it, if the event went well it's thanks to you, staff and collaborators who helped us by dealing with everything with professionalism, availability and a lot of enthusiasm, thank you with our heart! Then, we want to say thanks to all the users who participated in the event, without you the event wouldn't be possible in the first place. Finally, a big thanks to all the admin group bobochan, snorkledove and in particular to Arya who spent a lot of time and energy organising and dealing with the smogon part too, thank you as well!

Now, we can finally announce the winner of this event! Congrats to Kokusei for winning the event with 118 points! Another grats to the runner-up BobbyZchoo, who had an epic neck and neck fight for the first place.

Thank you for participating and see you next time!
