[OVERVIEW]
Sporting a lethal STAB and strong utility moves in U-turn and Knock Off, Passimian cements itself as a premier Fighting-type wallbreaker. Typical Fighting-type resists in Flying-types get threatened and crippled by Knock-off, meanwhile Fairies like Sylveon fear a devastating Gunk Shot. It also has a decent speed tier for the tier, able to notably out speed other slower foes such as Decidueye, Xatu, Tyrantrum, and more. However, its speed still leaves a lot to be desired, making it easily revenged killed by the faster portion of the metagame, and limits its breaking potential. Passimian is also held back by the ever present Talonflame and Vileplume, two staples in the metagame that discourage Passimian's attacks with their punishing abilities of Flame Body and Effect Spore, respectively.

U-turn allows Passimian to make progress even in unfavorable scenarios, allowing it to pivot out into a better slot. Knock Off weakens and cripples common checks in Talonflame, Weezing, and Sylveon, making it easier to wall break later on. Gunk Shot is a powerful attack that primarily targets Sylveon, though is also a strong, non-contact move to better ease prediction against teams with status ailment abilities or Rocky Helmet users. Similarly, Rock Slide may be chosen to more reliably OHKO Talonflame, as well as provide opportunity for flinch chance against foes such as Xatu and Mantine. (might be worth mentioning Earthquake here to specifically target Garbodor, which has seen more usage lately in SCL)
Due to Passimian's vulnerability to the variety of status in the metagame, clerics in Diancie, Sylveon, and Vaporeon are excellent partners to ease its dependance on luck. Similarly, Indeedee-F can provide Healing Wish to help aid Passimian, and forms a dangerous offensive core, with the two complimenting each other's weaknesses (could just say "Indeedee-F can provide Healing Wish support and appreciates Passimian safely bringing it in against foes it beats with U-turn."). Partners such as Escavalier, Salazzle, and Xatu can help to accomodate for its weaknesses to Poison, Fairy and bulky Flying-types. (I'd mention how Salazzle can also take advantage of the free turns Passimian gives it to set up with Nasty Plot) Offensive partners such as Rotom-C and Decidueye can help form offensive cycles to pressure the opposing team, with the latter's checks overlapping with many of Passmian's.
Checks and Counters
====
**Flying-types**: Flying-types in Talonflame, Xatu, Mantine can pivot into or block Passimian's Close Combat, though they need to be aware and cautious of Knock Off or Passimian's potential coverage moves.
**Poison-types**: Bulky Poison-types in Vileplume, Weezing, and Garbodor take very little from its attacks, and can all threaten back with crippling status or strong attacks. All also commonly carry Rocky Helmet besides the former, which has an even more devastating effect in its ability, Effect Spore.
**Physical tanks**: Physical tanks such as Mudsdale and Sylveon, while not being counters can be road blocks in Passimian's breaking potential, often carrying Protect and being able to handle most of Passimian's attacks.
