Cant get the application to work

Ive looked at a few of the other topics, and the answers dont seem to be helping me. I just downloaded Shoddy Battle and I cant get it to work. I launch it on Java and it stalls. It tells me some details about the error. I tried changing the server.properties on wordpad and it wouldnt work. It wouldnt save at all. I am wondering if this program works for windows vista.

I don't know about the problem, but it definitely works on Vista.
