move 3: Protect
move 4: Seed Flare
item: Leftovers
ability: Natural Cure
nature: Timid
evs: 84 Def / 172 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Set Description
=============
Leech Seed, in combination with Substitute and Protect, allows Shaymin to beat both Pokemon that are slower and don't OHKO it, such as Scrafty and Choice Band Sawk, and faster Pokemon that fail to 2HKO, such as Choice Scarf Magnezone. Seed Flare should be utilized against Keldeo, Terrakion, Jellicent, and Chansey.

EVs
=============
84 Defense EVs allow Shaymin to beat most Snorlax by surviving a Choice Band-boosted Return after using Substitute; substitute is used in case Snorlax has Belly Drum + Custap Berry. Maximum Speed EVs allow Shaymin to generally outspeed a lot of foes to stall them out with Leech Seed, such as Suicune and Normal Gem Porygon-Z.

Usage Tips
=============
Against Pokemon holding a Custap Berry, such as Magnezone, Shaymin should use Protect on the turn Custap Berry activates. Against Snorlax, Shaymin should use Substitute on the first turn, as it allows Shaymin to play around Belly Drum + Custap Berry sets while not being OHKOed by Choice Band Snorlax's Return after the recovery from Leftovers. However, Shaymin still loses to stall Snorlax sets that have Rest. If an opposing Sawk outspeeds Shaymin's Leech Seed on the first turn, Shaymin should use Protect and Seed Flare on the following two turns to KO.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Shaymin can use Bullet Seed instead of Seed Flare to be a better answer against PP stall Raikou and Aerodactyl, but this is not as reliable as running Seed Flare. In addition, Shaymin can also use Worry Seed instead of Seed Flare to beat all Snorlax, but this causes Shaymin to lose to any Pokemon with Taunt.

qc, will need to do an additional check again before I give it the 1/2 stamp.

Set Description
=============
Leech Seed paired with Shaymin's above average speed allows it to stall out everything slower than it, assuming that it lives the first hit. Substitute and Protect is Shaymin's way of protecting itself from opponent's attacks as it regenerates the Substitute HP loss with Leech Seed combined with Leftovers. Seed Flare is a devastating STAB attack with high base power which also has a 40% chance of lowering the opponent's Special Defense.

(biggest thing here, you probably need to mention what each thing does more than just

EVs
=============
84 Defense EVs allows Shaymin to beat offensive Snorlax sets as well as and Sawk. Maximum Speed EVs allows Shaymin to outrun outspeed other base 100 HP (did you mean Speed? It also speedties other 252+ Speed Base 100s like Celebi, Zapdos, and Slaking, which can very easily run 252+ Speed if they wanted. Going Timid for Base 100s isn't a catch all because many things want that 328 Speed...) Pokemon and to generally outspeed a lot of opponents to stall them out with Leech Seed. The rest of the EVs are dumped into Special Attack to maximize Shaymin's damage and allows it to OHKO Keldeo. (if the EVs nicely allow it to beat Keldeo, mention that. Calm Mind sets can outspeed and survive though, so it's not always an OHKO...)

Usage Tips
=============
Leech Seed with Protect and Substitute allows Shaymin to regain health whilst chipping away at the opponents health to break through things it usually couldn't with Seed Flare (like what? please be more specific here); against Magnezone it can use this to beat it despite it's resistance to Grass-type moves for example. (seems very fluffy, you can condense this. You can probably mention Magnezone but you don't need to mention type matchups in an analysis) Against Pokemon holding a Custap Berry, such as Magnezone, Shaymin can protect on the turn it will go below 25% to negate the bonus priority it receives.

Against Snorlax, it can Substitute on the first turn which allows Shaymin to beat offensive Snorlax sets by using it into their Giga Impact or Return, either or it can set up Leech Seed the following turn and use Protect and Substitute until Snorlax faints. Opposing Sawks can be stalled out as usual, however if they outspeed you on the first turn you will want Shaymin to use Leech Seed first as usual, Protect and then Seed Flare.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Shaymin can run Bullet Seed to answer Pressure users such as Aerodactyl and Raikou. As well as this, it can run Worry Seed to deal with rest users such as Snorlax and Registeel. (find EV spreads for this and probably go into more depth for this. Also, mentioning Choice Specs here may also be worth it. Where would the sets also put Bullet Seed and Worry Seed? It would be good to mention that it's where Seed Flare would go. Why running these sets are worse than running Seed Flare (aka why are they relegated to the Other Options) should also be mentioned.

Substitute and Protect is Shaymin's way of protecting itself from opponent's attacks as it regenerates the Substitute HP loss with Leech Seed combined with Leftovers; this allows it to beat Pokemon such as Magnezone and Scrafty. Leech Seed, in combination with Substitute and Protect, allows Shaymin to beat both Pokemon that are slower and don't OHKO back, such as Scrafty and Choice Band Sawk, and faster Pokemon that fail to 2HKO, such as Choice Scarf Magnezone and Choice Scarf Tyranitar. Seed Flare is a devastating STAB attack with high base power which should be utilized against Keldeo, Terrakion,(AC) and Jellicent, and Chansey

EVs
=============
84 Defense EVs allow Shaymin to beat offensive Snorlax (remove the mention of offensive Snorlax here and put it in usage tips, as it's actually a pretty complicated thing to play around with this set given that using Substitute on the first turn is somewhat not intuitive) and both Choice Band and Choice Scarf Sawk sets. Maximum Speed EVs allow Shaymin to speedtie other 252+ Speed base 100 Pokemon such as Zapdos and Slaking as well as to (this one is my fault due to the first QC, but now that I'm actually functioning, this seems more or less irrelevant because Zapdos wins by spamming HP Flying or Heat Wave anyway, while Shaymin has Protect for Slaking) generally outspeed a lot of opponents to stall them out with Leech Seed (probably instead of mentioning opponents here, just say that Maximum Speed is nice because it allows Shaymin to outspeed things like [list here] or something of the sort. Or maybe that it's best for the Leech Seed + Substitute + Protect strategy because it doesn't require you to survive two hits against certain Pokemon and list those Pokemon...). The rest of the EVs are dumped into Special Attack to maximize Shaymin's damage and allows it to beat Keldeo. (does this still apply now that the EVs have been changed?)

Usage Tips
=============
Against Pokemon holding a Custap Berry, such as Magnezone, Shaymin can protect should use Protect on the turn it the opponent will go below 25% to negate the bonus priority it receives eat its Custap Berry (probs don't say 25% because of Custap Snorlax). Against Snorlax, it can Substitute on the first turn which allows Shaymin to beat offensive Snorlax sets by using it into their Giga Impact or Return, either or it can set up Leech Seed the following turn and use Protect and Substitute until Snorlax faints. (Mention how Shaymin loses to defensive Snorlax sets with Rest.) Opposing Sawks can be stalled out as usual, however if they outspeed you on the first turn you will want Shaymin to use Leech Seed first as usual, Protect and then Seed Flare. If an opposing Sawk outspeeds Shaymin's Leech Seed on the first turn, Shaymin should use Protect and Seed Flare on the following two turns to KO.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Shaymin can run Bullet Seed to answer Pressure users such as Aerodactyl and Raikou. As well as this, it can run Worry Seed to deal with rest users such as Snorlax and Registeel. With these alternate options you will want to replace Seed Flare so you can still use your other more valuable move slots. Due to having to give up Seed Flare, these options are a lot less reliable and more gimmicky. (Firstly, more gimmicky isn't necessarily a bad thing!! On a more serious note for this analysis though, it comes off as much more informal. Since you're new to this though, I'll let you think about how you can cut down on the fluff in this section, which you definitely can by condensing these sentences in some ways! Basically try to make some edits here and I'll review them when I look at it again!)

If you don't want to use stall Shaymin, you can give it Choice Specs and have it run four attacking moves.

84 Defense EVs allow Shaymin to beat Snorlax. I assume it lives band but state it here dont just say it beats snorlax so like 84 defense EVs allow Shaymin to never be killed by Return after subbing up once or whatever, you'll come up with a nice sentence here im sure Maximum Speed EVs allow Shaymin to generally outspeed a lot of opponents to stall them out with Leech Seed such as Suicune and Normal Gem Porygon-Z.
