SD :skarmory: and :tyranitar:

ngl I would have voted for mine if i could but oh well

:skarmory:: SD Skarmory is effectively the best next thing to lure a whole bunch of Stall staples in, not just Gliscor, so I'd see the set actually employed

:jirachi:: That Jirachi may lure Gliscor but the fact that it actually gets TBolted from Zone for 60% and the fact that it lacks Thunder Wave or another common utility for a move that kind of only benefits it if a Regen Pokémon or Gliscor switch in makes it iffy

:tyranitar:: at this point I'd be more pressed in calling Tyranitar someone that fucks with Gliscor 24/7, always takes a EQ and either throws a Banded Edge or a Beam in the face
That being said this is a Pokémon that Gliscor wants to switch into regardless, being for scouting and whatnot

:salamence:: Same as TTar, not really a lure as Orb Mence always fucks with Gliscor with Gliscor not being able to do anything to it at all

:magnezone:: To be extremely fair for everyone I'm gonna say that a LOT of people actually don't throw the ground in expecting exactly Cannon by now, and chances are you trapped something IF you managed to throw Magnezone in, so uhhh...

Voting Time is over! This week resulted in another tie, with the winners being Lalaya's charcoal heatran and yonitet's swords dance skarmory. Congrats to both!
sd skarm - 111111
offensive heatran - 111111

snacked, I might add.

(the choice of SR and Wave depends on which fourth move do you wanna sac for Counter but I'd recommend keeping Thunder Wave)

Azelf @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 104 Atk / 164 Def / 16 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- U-turn
- Psychic
- Stealth Rock

this set is funny as hell. basically, tyranitar comes in on an expected psychic/stealth rock, and then BAM! its blown away by drain punch. the EV spread guarantees it lives a stone edge from full, and they also live other miscellanous hits like nidoking sludge wave. speaking of which, this spread outspeeds nidoking and can OHKO it after rocks.

252+ Atk Choice Band Tyranitar Crunch vs. 252 HP / 164 Def Colbur Berry Azelf: 240-283 (67.7 - 79.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after sandstorm damage
252+ Atk Choice Band Tyranitar Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 164 Def Azelf: 298-352 (84.1 - 99.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after sandstorm damage

104+ Atk Azelf U-turn vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tyranitar: 136-160 (39.8 - 46.9%) -- 34% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Mismagius @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA/252 Spe/4 Def
Timid Nature
-Nasty Plot
-Shadow Ball
-Mystical Fire
-Energy Ball

It's a bit more of a weird entry given there are not many ghosts in the tier and Gengar's departure gives Mismagius a chance to do some work in the tier. Nasty Plot is not a bad set and with Life Orb augmenting it's damage output and it being in a good speed tier that allows it to outspeed base 100's in the tier. As for how it lures TTar in, it basically can get a nasty plot up while luring in TTar. Here's the fun part tho. Energy Ball can OHKO Banded TTar even in sand and is almost certainly a KO with SR up.

+2 252 SpA Life Orb Mismagius Energy Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 294-346 (86.2 - 101.4%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Mismagius Energy Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 146-174 (42.8 - 51%) -- 96.9% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

The neat part is that one can also just energy ball TTar on the switch which is a near-guaranteed 2HKO. This set also lets it hit Crawdaunt and Rotom-Wash with EBall while Mystical Fire can hurt Scizor badly. As long as one has teammates to deal with heatran, this set can feasibly fit on offensive teams.

Weavile @ Expert Belt
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brick Break
- Ice Shard
- Icicle Crash
- Throat Chop

Brick Break OHKOs Tyranitar and helps against other Pokemon that resist its STAB:

252 Atk Expert Belt Weavile Brick Break vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tyranitar: 346-408 (101.4 - 119.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Expert Belt Weavile Brick Break vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Crawdaunt: 214-252 (80.1 - 94.3%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Expert Belt Weavile Brick Break vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 178-211 (46.1 - 54.6%) -- 97.7% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Expert Belt Weavile Brick Break vs. 4 HP / 252 Def Magnezone: 134-158 (47.5 - 56%) -- 80.1% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Cresselia
Cresselia (F) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 84 Def / 112 SpD / 60 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psycho Shift
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Moonblast

Cresselia is a perfect pokemon to lure in a strong physical dark type. It's usually a teams one of it not bulkiest pokemon, meaning that swapping Tyranitar into it can have great payoff for the rest of Tyranitar's offensive teammates. This does not come uncontested however. This cressleia specializes in baiting in strong physical attackers and burning them with psycho shift. This Cresselia prefers to run rest as it's healing as it is bulky enough to be an effective user of it, while also having the abillity to psycho shift it's sleep off with sleep talk. The last moveslot is debateable as STAB psychic is very handy, but fairy is a strictly better offensive type and can deal supereffectvely damage to Tyranitar, even if it's only chip. 60 speed EVs make it faster than a lot of the strongest physical attacker, namely adamant Tyranitar, Azumarill and Crawdaunt, all of which will suffer greatly from a burn or being put to sleep.

252+ Atk Choice Band burned Tyranitar Crunch vs. 252 HP / 84+ Def Cresselia: 160-189 (36 - 42.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after sandstorm damage and burn damage

Cresselia can easily heal this damage off as it uses rest as it's healing meaning it can afford to get hit twice before having to rest, where as if it had moonlight it would burn through pp extremely quickly, and not effectively wall Tyranitar.

Togekiss @ Focus Band
Ability: Super Luck
EVs: 252 HP / 84 Def / 112 SpD / 60 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Air Slash
- Water Pulse
- Sleep Talk
- Roost

This Togekisf uses Water Pulse to KO a T-Tar that comes in thinking that it's safe!!!!!! It comes in and suddenly it get's Ko'd by a strong Water move, also Super Luck so you may be more likely to land a Critical Hit (I hate Super Luck hax XD) This Kiss holds a focus Band to make the opponent think you have a choice scarf and cant use water pulse, also you can switchin and live Ttar's stone edge (if sand is ending that turn

0 SpA Togekiss Water Pulse vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 68-82 (19.9 - 24%) -- possible 5HKO

0 SpA Togekiss Dazzling Gleam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 134-162 (39.2 - 47.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding this, but isn't Dazzling Gleam strictly better than Water Pulse in this scenario? I don't think doing max 24% to Tyranitar is enough, especially if the set is reliant on Focus Band activating when Sand is down.

As :tyranitar:Tyranitar isn't exactly the kind of killing machine that switch in aggressively in this metagame, this How to Lure has been tough ! Though, I've found one that is at least very funny (at least for me).

:ss/slowbro:
Slowbro @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Calm Mind
- Slack Off
- Focus Blast
I think the set is self-explanatory. On the incoming U-Turn, you Calm Mind up, Colbur Berry eats the oncoming Crunch while Focus Blast OHKO Tyranitar.

252+ Atk Choice Band Tyranitar Crunch vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Colbur Berry Slowbro: 148-175 (37.5 - 44.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after sandstorm damage

+1 4 SpA Slowbro Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 344-408 (100.8 - 119.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Okay okay, it has to land Focus Blast but so does Alakazam ! Anyway, to make it more realistic, I'll add some U-Turn calculations.

0 Atk Scizor U-turn vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro: 128-152 (32.4 - 38.5%) -- 98% chance to 3HKO
100 -38.5 -12 -44.4 = 5.1% left.

252 Atk Choice Band Infernape U-turn vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro: 134-158 (34 - 40.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
100 -40.1 -12 -44.4 = 3.5% left.

0 Atk Gliscor U-turn vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro: 66-78 (16.7 - 19.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
100 -19.7 -12 -44.4 = 23.9% left.

As you can see, even with Stealth Rock and maximum rolls, Slowbro will survive any opposing Crunch with Colbur Berry after a U-Turn. And if you click Focus Miss instead, it's still a defensive Slowbro with Regenerator and Scald...

Edit : I forgot sandstorm damage that deal 24*2. That means that maximum rolls + sr damage would actually KO Slowbro in the end of the second turn cause of sandstorm.

I'll pick xielefi's Slowbro and BT98's azelf.

The others don't really bait in ttar;

Ttar is always scared of brick break from weavile,
It never swaps into the biggest physical wall in the tier that has supereffective stab on it (tang)
Mismag is just bad I'll never believe anything else
And counter bliss is hilarious but nah
