Battle Stadium Singles Team Bazaar

Do you have a Battle Stadium Singles team that you want to share with the community? You came to the right place!

This thread will be where you can casually share the teams that you had success with on the Showdown or Switch ladder, without the need to make an entire RMT thread. Do keep in mind that this does not mean you can post ANY team; this thread also doubles as a resource thread for players to see potential teams to use. We reserve the right to delete any teams that does not appear polished or complete, so make sure your team is well tested.

To share a team in this thread, include the following in your post:
  • The Pokemon icons. You can easily put them putting the Pokemon names between colons ":" e.g. :pokemon:
  • A showdown paste
  • A brief description of your team. Anything unique/that isn't straightforward would be great to hear about.
  • A Switch rental code, if applicable, is greatly appreciated!
You're free to add anything else you want to your post to make it presentable the way you see fit.

Please do not post teams and explicitly ask questions on how to improve your team. If you want answers to your questions regarding your team, please ask in the Battle Stadium Discord or the Simple Questions thread. However, if you have questions/feedback on a team that has been posted by someone else, by all means please post your question/feedback.

THIS THREAD IS ONLY FOR POSTING TEAMS

Do not ask question in this thread. All non-team posts will be deleted. Repeat offenders will be punished.

For additional teams, see the top rated teams thread for teams that finished high in each season from the Japanese community!

Day 1 Bazaar Teams

They represent common trends I saw in the ps and cart ladder but no guarantees on optimizations or anything ofc.

If they look kind of the same, it's because they are.

As usual, I will post updates and better teams when the metagame has settled down a bit past the new Pokemon craze.

Cheers and happy laddering.

:Landorus-Therian: :Cinderace-Gmax: :Tapu Fini: :Mimikyu: :Celesteela: :Porygon2:
The Big 6 balance team for series 7.

Rental: 0000 0000 FCL9 7C
Paste: https://pokepast.es/09a2eeb0ed3af5c9

:Landorus-Therian:
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 50
EVs: 212 HP / 196 Atk / 4 Def / 92 SpD / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Fly
- Rock Tomb
- Swords Dance

Defensive Calcs:
252 SpA Life Orb Zapdos Max Airstream vs. 212 HP / 92 SpD Dynamax Landorus-Therian: 164-192 (42.9 - 50.2%) -- 1.6% chance to 2HKO
4 SpA Porygon2 Ice Beam vs. 212 HP / 92 SpD Landorus-Therian: 156-184 (81.6 - 96.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

A bulky set, but has potential to give offensive pressure with Swords Dance. Often cushions against Cinderace.

:Cinderace-Gmax:
Cinderace-Gmax @ Assault Vest
Ability: Libero
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 108 Atk / 52 Def / 60 SpD / 36 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pyro Ball
- High Jump Kick
- Bounce
- Gunk Shot

Defensive Calcs:
252 Atk Life Orb Libero Cinderace-Gmax Max Airstream vs. 252 HP / 52 Def Dynamax Cinderace-Gmax: 157-187 (41.9 - 50%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO

Notes:
Outspeeds Max Speed Landorus-Therian

This Cinderace has high chance of winning the mirror, using G-max Fireball on turn 1 and Max Airstream on turn 2. AV helps switching in front of Porygon2 and fairy mons.

:Tapu Fini:
Tapu Fini @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Misty Surge
Level: 50
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Surf
- Moonblast
- Ice Beam
- Trick

A great Scarfer, in my opinion. This mon kills non-scarf Cinderace, Dragapult, Pheromosa, Urshifu, etc. Ice Beam gives pressure to Zapdos, Naganadel, Thundurus, etc. Trick is a mandatory move that stops bulky mons.

:Mimikyu:
Mimikyu @ Life Orb
Ability: Disguise
Level: 50
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Phantom Force
- Play Rough
- Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance

The best late-game sweeper, in my opinion. Very standard set.

:Celesteela:
Celesteela @ Power Herb
Ability: Beast Boost
Level: 50
EVs: 148 HP / 20 Def / 252 SpA / 44 SpD / 44 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flash Cannon
- Flamethrower
- Energy Ball
- Meteor Beam

Defensive Calcs:
252 Atk Life Orb Cinderace-Gmax G-Max Fire Ball vs. 148 HP / 20 Def Dynamax Celesteela: 312-369 (81.6 - 96.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Zapdos Max Lightning (140 BP) vs. 148 HP / 44 SpD Dynamax Celesteela: 315-374 (82.4 - 97.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

A dedicated sweeper, used against cycle oriented team matchups like Nihilego-Celesteela-Swampert. Meteor Beam is used to kill Cinderace and Zapdos switching in. Usually, if the opposing pokemon can't OHKO Celesteela, use Meteor Beam and one of the two things might happen: 1) you can utilize the SpAtk buff to kill everything in the back, or 2) Cinderace or Zapdos switches in and dies.

:Porygon2:
Porygon2 @ Eviolite
Ability: Download
Level: 50
EVs: 244 HP / 4 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Giga Impact
- Ice Beam
- Discharge
- Recover

Defensive Calcs:
252+ SpA Life Orb Zapdos Max Airstream vs. 244 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Porygon2: 83-99 (43.4 - 51.8%) -- 7.8% chance to 2HKO

A dedicated special cushion with a Dynamax sweeping potential. Giga Impact (Max Strike) with Download gives unexpected damage to many foes that uses Calm Mind or Taunt to stop Porygon2.

1) Scarf Fini Lead + Mimikyu in the back
The most standard play. Do some damage with Fini and then Mimikyu will sweep later. The third mon is Landorus, Cinderace, or Porygon2 depending on the opposing pokemon that can threaten Scarf Fini Lead.

2) Celesteela Lead + Lando or Pory2 in the back
Against cycle based teams like Nihilego-Celesteela-Swampert, I lead Celesteela. Utilize Meteor Beam or/and Beast Boost properly to sweep and prepare to cushion opposing Cinderace or Zapdos leads with Lando or Pory2.

Some teams from S12, list will be updated as they go onto Nouthuca. I've put notes of the EV spreads and few other things in spoiler. I'll probably finish the rest of them later on since Ive been running low on motivation.

I looked through the top blogteams for the ones that still have Rental Codes with them. A lot of them are actually linked in Ika's post but I know beginners might not know to actually click the links, so here are a list of 7 still active rental codes. I have checked them still being up today on (December 17th, 2020), and took the screenshots in English so you guys can actually read the moves lul.

I would have posted these in the https://www.smogon.com/forums/threa...s-teams-aka-japanese-team-compendium.3658518/ thread but the thread is locked!

Please visit their blogs for in-depth description of the team.

Switch Code (Slight differences to Pokepaste Team. Pokepaste Team is better)

View attachment 303684
Literally just started using this team and the 1st match I go into they swap in lando and I didnt noticed your entei had no inner foucs, a real disappointment.

Decided to go in depth to see what else didnt match cause alot DID NOT MATCH UP.
What is actually in the team https://pokepast.es/a2b4a0cb477fd01a

Mostly my fault for not comparing the pokepaste to the switch code image despite it showing detusche but to say " Slight differences to Pokepaste Team " is a far cry. I literally cannot recommend anyone else to use this team till they check out this pokepaste to make sure thye know what they are getting themselves into if they plan to ladder on cart.

Hi, today I introduce my Tapu Lele team. Some of the text is translated by Google, so if you have any questions, please ask me :)

Taking advantage of Tapu Lele's Turn 1 Dynamax
Tapu Lele is a Pokémon that often possesses Choice Scarf and induces opponent's Dynamax or Steel-type switches a lot. As for Dynamax, Tapu Lele can take advantage of the opponent's expectations by Dynamaxing Turn 1. For Max Airstream user slower than Tapu Lele, you can win one-on-one with Max Guard → Max Mindstorm → Max Guard → Psychic.

Tactics using Psychic Terrain
Mimikyu and Cinderace are powerful Pokémon that can't be beaten even with Tapu Lele's Dynamax. These are handled by switching into Landorus-T. Break Mimikyu's Disguise with U-turn and switch into Dragapult, then you don't need to worry about Shadow Sneak thanks to Psychic Terrain(If they use Max Starfall first, use Substitute → Phantom Force). Against Cinderace, keep using Rock Tomb to slow it down and support the Pokémon behind.

Ferrothorn + Blaziken versus opponent's Steel-types
Many steel Pokémon in the current metagame include Ferrothorn, Celesteela, and Excadrill. Among them, Ferrothorn and Excadrill can be handled with this team's Ferrothorn. By setting the speed of Ferrothorn to min speed +3, it is advantageous to the mirror with a preemptive Iron Defense → Body Press. Since Celesteela has hardly any form of investment in Special Defense in the recent metagame, it is forcibly cut with Tapu Lele and then dealt with Blaziken. Blaziken uses Coba Berry to withstand Celesteela's +1 Max Airstream during Dynamax.

Complementary Zapdos
Among the five Pokémon so far, Zapdos was adopted because of the lack of Airstream user and the need for a Special Attacker that puts great pressure on the opponent's picks. Since the opponent's Yawn + Stealth Rock is cumbersome, I decided to give Substitute, and because my team has Ferrothorn, I chose Volt Switch to counter the opponent's Zapdos counters.

Thus I decided to use the following Pokémon in order:
:Tapu Lele::Landorus-Therian::Dragapult::Ferrothorn::Blaziken::Zapdos:

:Tapu Lele:
Tapu Lele @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Psychic Surge
Level: 50
EVs: 76 HP / 52 Def / 140 SpA / 4 SpD / 236 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast
- Sleep Talk

Calcs:
252+ Atk Urshifu-Single Strike Wicked Blow vs. 76 HP / 52 Def Tapu Lele on a critical hit: 135-159 (87 - 102.5%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO
Outspeeds Max Speed Landorus-T +2

The Pokémon that forms the central axis of the team and is chosen as a lead for most matches because the range of one-on-one that can be won through the Turn 1 Dynamax, which was explained in the 'Team Concepts' section, is considerably widened. Focus Blast was chosen to hit Ferrothorn and Heatran with Max Knuckle, and Sleep Talk was chosen as an essential Max Guard frame. Both moves were rarely used outside of Dynamax.

:Blaziken:
Blaziken @ Coba Berry
Ability: Speed Boost
Level: 50
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Thunder Punch
- Swords Dance

Maybe a more flexible sweeper than Cinderace. There is a convenient rank-up option Swords Dance, Speed rises even if you just hit Max Guard, and all three of the Dynamax Attacking moves have effects related to power increase, so I think it is an excellent Pokémon. By using Coba Berry (Flying-type Reduce Berry), you can take advantage of the Dynamax battle with Airstream users. I thank to this Pokémon that gave my team the option of lategame Dynamax sweeping.

:Landorus-Therian:
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 164 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Tomb
- U-turn
- Bulk Up

Calcs:
+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Mimikyu Max Starfall (130 BP) vs. 252 HP / 92+ Def Landorus-T: 165-196 (84.1 - 100%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Zapdos Max Airstream (140 BP) vs. 252 HP / 164 SpD Landorus-T: 165-195 (84.1 - 99.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

The second axis of the team and an excellent cushion with U-turn. This is a lubricant Pokemon that enables you to play in conjunction with Psychic Terrain, which was described at the 'Team Concepts' section. I wanted it to perform as team's ace in case of emergency, but there is no room to put Fly, so I decided to use Bulk Up instead of Swords Dance. Thanks to this, it was able to become stronger in the Landorus-T mirror after the Dynamax was over.

:Zapdos:
Zapdos @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Pressure
Level: 50
EVs: 76 HP / 252 SpA / 180 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Hurricane
- Substitute
- Roost

HP 16n-1
Outspeeds Max Speed Dragapult after Airstream

The second Turn 1 Dynamaxing Pokemon. Considering Excadrill and Magnezone, there were occasions when Heat Wave was needed, but against teams with such Pokémon, I was able to handle them sufficiently by picking another Pokémon, so I used it without modification. Although its pick rate was the lowest, I think it made up for the team's shortcomings with the highest Dynamax aptitude.

:Ferrothorn:
Ferrothorn @ Figy Berry
Ability: Iron Barbs
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Gyro Ball
- Body Press
- Leech Seed
- Iron Defense

This Pokémon can handle most Steel-type Pokémon and Tapu Fini. The pressure of Iron Defense → Body Press or Leech Seed made the opponent make hard decisions, which was the best thing about this Pokémon. It worked well as a cushion because Turn 1 Dynamaxing Porygon2 was seen quite a bit in the middle and late this season. It was mostly picked simultaneously with Blaziken.

:Dragapult:
Dragapult @ Leftovers
Ability: Infiltrator
Level: 50
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Darts
- Phantom Force
- Dragon Dance
- Substitute

The third axis of the team. In order to deal with Mimikyu, Substitute and Phantom Force were essential, so it naturally became strong against Toxapex oriented stall teams. You can play flexibly by dragging the opponent's Dynamax turns to counterattack, or sometimes using Dragon Dance and sweep with Dynamax. I chose the Infiltrator ability not only to deal with Dual Screen teams, but also to induce opponent's misunderstanding when facing Landorus-T.

This is the team I’ve been using for most of S7 and I’ve been quite enjoying it. It’s probably not the best team in terms of viability but it’s worked quite well for me and I enjoy using it a lot.
It’s a bulky offense/balance team, which is a team style I quite enjoy playing.
If you want explanations for anything feel free to ask me.

Right, so my initial series 9 team wasn’t quite up to snuff with what the bazaar mods want, so I went back and re worked a couple of things, and I think this team is much better.
https://pokepast.es/ae8bdac72675a9cf
:Hippowdon::Garchomp::Zapdos::Tapu-Fini::Cinderace-Gmax::Celesteela:
The main offensive threats are Garchomp, Cinderace, and Zapdos. Ace and Zap are your prime dmax candidates, but Garchomp is perfectly capable of dynamax sweeping with the correct matchup.
The main surprise here is that the tapu fini is a max speed, choice scarfed set. Designed to get the jump on mons that can be threatened by her, but tend to abuse the passivity of the standard set.
This surprise factor works quite well for breaking open a lot of teams, and allows the main sweepers to function as well as possible. Misty Terrain is also incredibly useful as you can use it to grab a nearly free swords dance with Garchomp, even after it has used its lum berry.
Hippowdon is a great physical tank that is capable of stopping setup sweepers with whirlwind or yawn, and can abuse the presence of more passive Pokémon with stealth rocks to help chip opponents into range of his offensive teammates.
Celesteela is a relatively standard defensive set, designed to annoy and chip down opposing threats to enable a sweeper to have an easier time.
Hopefully this team is more of what you guys were looking for. I think it’s rather fun to use and decently viable. Enjoy c:
Quick edit. The initial team used modest fini, I have switched to timid to be able to outrun Dragapult. I have updated the poke paste to have this change included.

Here's the team I broke sub-1000 with: Super Bird Bros.!

Rental Team - Super Bird Bros Final.jpg

The short and sweet version of this team is that you use Koko screens or Garchomps speed control and rocks to set up Blaziken, who can either click Swords Dance against weaker foes or just go straight for Dynamax and power up using Max Knuckle and Max Flare. Boosted Flare Blitz under sun is absolutely disgusting and can actually rip through targets even if they resist it. Bring Glastrier or Tapu Fini for ground-types, selecting whichever covers other opposing matchups better. Eerie Impulse Zapdos is the third defensive option and alongside Garchomp is a great way to lure in Porygon2, who Blaziken loves to set up on especially if its been weakened by Eerie Impulse.

This team isn't perfect but it ended up in the 1000-2000 range when I stopped playing. It definitely has enough power behind it to make a good climb. There is a full RMT that I just posted as well, so feel free to pop over into that topic and ask questions if you have them.

Full RMT can be found here : https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/super-bird-bros-tapu-koko-blaziken-team.3685337/

https://pokepast.es/9cecd7e53b4ca678

I keep making misplays, but I've realized this team is quite good WITHOUT those. Granted you will never predict everything, but I mean pretty bad misplays that don't require a lot of thought to avoid-I'm kinda bad lol. But not the team. Drifblim is the star of the show, but even though it can be good I'm fine with it being swapped for Mimikyu or something commonly good cause new people use these teams and stuff. It in general checks or counters physical attackers. Also Corsola-g, which I don't necessarily do well against besides. Koko is the special bulk, Landog is probably the best mon in general, Cinderace is mainly for Fini, Fini is TrickScarf for chip on Zapdos by moving 1st and the Trick on P2 and the like. Bisharp is anti-screens.

If not for all the times I expected a switch but it didn't happen, did not expect a switch and it did, did not expect Weakness Policy(assume it is if you will lose by triggering it and won't by not,) and the times I messed up with Dynamax I'd be doing very good indeed, so I think despite the unorthodox nature this team can fit here. All the EVs are explained in my RMT. Koko, Fini, or Bisharp are the usual leads. Landog is brought more than any other mon. Feel free to ask me about my misplays I won't remember most but I do some, and they help understand what not to do.

EDIT: Nearly broke even despite misplays, 37/38 to 40.

This is the team that got me to Masterball this season. Although I built the team around Shedinja you may use Rillaboom as it checks and or beats most of what Sheddy's meant to switch into. With Shedinja, WP/AV is interchangeable on Rhyperior, it depends on how much of an absolutely braindead unga bunga poo poo pee pee player you wanna be and win the game in 3 turns.

Shedinja conditions your opponent to bring whatever beats it. Although nearly everything at team preview could have something to kill it, its value comes from completely shutting down Pokemon that have to spread their coverage thin to cover as much as possible, such as Urshifu-RS or Lapras, or typically run certain status moves to remain functional when afflicted, like Sleep Talk Dracovish. A good partner for stall breaking with Heatran and crippling walls with Specs Fini.

Rhyperior helps to check the big 4. Its EVs get the jump on a lot of tankier mons so that it can get in Horn Drill first.

Celesteela sets up and sweeps but isn't always consistent. Haven't used much of Leech Seed, so perhaps a sign to replace it with Steel coverage and free up Earth Power for Heatran.

Landorus has Scope Lens for a very good reason. In a game dictated by RNG, you're either with RNG, or you stay out of its way and don't complain when you get crit frozen turn 1. Every team ought to have a mon that uses (but does not rely on) luck to leverage the game in its favour. Although I'd get better damage output from LO, Scope Lando crits with Stone Edge 1/2 of the time and has a 1/8 chance to crit with everything else. Them's good odds in my book, and it helps to break Skarmory, which would otherwise sit on Landorus entirely. You may like to experiment with a more bulky build and U-turn/Rock Tomb over SD, I haven't tried that yet.

I wanted to share this team I built because it's kind of wild. I am currently sitting at rank ~1500 with it which I feel like is pretty solid. I tried to sprinkle in meta picks with unique techs and of course the niche nidoking and spectrier to be used in specific matchups. The basis of the team is trading offense, as well as preventing set-up teams and creatively threatening some common stall opponents.

Spectrier @ Leftovers
Ability: Grim Neigh
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Will-O-Wisp
- Calm Mind
- Dark Pulse

Review: Spectrier is pretty obsolete because of how generally frail it is and is typical threatened by the wildly popular mimikyu, P2, Dragapult, Zapdos, Urshifu, etc. However, when used in a support fashion like in doubles, it can actually be a pain in the butt. Most people expect you to send it out and click scarf or specs shadow ball and start piling up those grim neighs. Frankly, it kind of manipulates team preview like dracovish or regieleki. However, my spectrier is there for the sole reason of stalling out screens. When you see a grimsnarl, lapras, or dragapult paired with things like Glactrier, Moltres, Blastoise, Naganadel, Salamence, Excadril, etc, you know its time to bring ol spectrier with you. Hiding behind the sub and either using calm mind or will o wisp can easily wait out a lapras gmax or dragapult dragon darts to give the rest of the team a chance against the presumed dynamax sweeper waiting in the back. It can also easily stall out P2 even if it has foul play because of the burn. It can tank a hit from orb zapdos if its not modest, allowing you to effectively stall two turns of its max with the substitute. If you get enough calm minds up against something like fini, you can even dynamax it and take advantage of max darkness's special defense drop. I also use it to burn ladorous T, Dragonite, Mimikyu, and others. Things that immediately put you in trouble when leading spectrier are Darmanitan, Cinderace, Rillaboom, and most of all, Urshifu Dark. You must carefully look at the team preview to decide what kind of set up they are going for. It has dark pulse to hit blissey and P2, which were common picks against it in stall teams. It pairs well with the bulk up lum cinderace and weakness policy dragonite that I will review shortly.

Cinderace @ Lum Berry
Ability: Libero
Level: 50
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bulk Up
- Pyro Ball
- Giga Impact
- Zen Headbutt

Review: This is a pretty atypical Cinderace set. It is designed to set up in front of swamperts, Hippos, and most of all: Toxapex. If you see a toxapex on your opponents team: You lead this cinderace and click bulk up. 95% of the time they will either lead the pex and click scald or switch whatever was sent out first into the pex. A plus one zen headbutt kills all the toxapex's ive ever faced. Then your opponent is left with a full HP plus 1 attack and defense cinderace with the terrain boost. Giga-impact allows you to keep zapdos under control if you're forced to max against it so the boys in the back can take care of it. The max guard option also gives you a chance to stall out opposing max turns which most Cinderace lack. The adamant nature unfortunately makes you vulnerable to other cinderace, however, we have Urshifu water and dragonite to deal with those situations.

Dragonite @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Multiscale
Level: 50
EVs: 12 HP / 252 SpA / 244 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Air Slash
- Ice Beam
- Flamethrower
- Roost

This is the star of my team. You lead dragonite and people immediately think oh boy he's gonna click dragon dance and roost away. I'll just burn him with scald or switch into Lando-T a million times with intimidate or use ferrothorn and celelesteela to wall it. This dragonite does not care about any of those threats because of the policy and special coverage. It is EV'd to outspeed dragapult at plus one, which makes it a great lead into any sort of dragapult and immediately maxing. The roost allows it to stall max turns after it's done. It is my answer to things like Rillaboom, Urshifu, Cinderace, Naganadel, and Landorous T. The only drawback is that you almost always want to max this mon because it's speed tier is pretty bad without an airstream boost and it doesn't have the bulk that most dragonites have. But if you can successfully get an airstream up as a lead and knock out a mon or two, you can stall out turns with roost later and clear the way for the rest of the team in the back.

Mimikyu @ Kee Berry
Ability: Disguise
Level: 50
EVs: 164 HP / 156 Atk / 172 Def / 4 SpD / 12 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Drain Punch
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Sneak

Pretty typical mimikyu kee berry set here. I use it to eat turns of dynamax or clean up at the end. Wood hammer is there as an option to hit annoying stall mons like milotic and quagsire as well as give it a chance to hit fini hard. It's also the best option against P2, even if it has the steelspike option, because of drain punch. Not having play rough can be annoying at times, but the dragon coverage I have via ice moves on the rest of the team kind of mitigates that issue. It can handle both urshifu's with its coverage as well. It has 12 speed EVs to outspeed other kee berry mimikyus. You don't really wanna max this guy unless you're in a situation where something let's you get plus four attack with your disguise still up, but generally it's best to just save him for the end game after you've maxed your dragonite or cinderace.

Urshifu-Rapid-Strike @ Focus Sash
Ability: Unseen Fist
Level: 50
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Surging Strikes
- Close Combat
- Counter

Self explanatory, necessary part of the trading offense team. It pretty much counters any physical attacker provided your sash is still in tact. It also provides a meat shield while giving some damage to zapdos. 95% of the time you are just clicking counter in the face of other urshifu, dracovish, rillaboom, cinderace, Etc. It can also be used as a wall breaker in certain scenarios but you rely on lum berry cinderace for most of that.

Nidoking (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sheer Force
Level: 50
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave
- Ice Beam
- Fire Blast

Saved the best for last. No one really knows what the nidoking is there for at team preview. Sheer force scarf makes it a good lead. you can hit fini, cinderace, zapdos, dragapult, dragonite, naganadel, nihilego, and most of all, landorous T. You can even max it and get the max oozes up. If they switch into ferrothorn or celly you can turn around and hit the max flare. The scarf allows it to deal massive damage to an unsuspecting opponent and can throw a wrench in their entire set up as well become a nice set-up late game sweeper. a roosting zapdos has no prayer against scarf nidoking. Important to note that it will speed tie with the scarf fini but sometimes you have to rely on RNG to win at this game.

The team is a little unorthodox but it is battle tested, as of yesterday I am rank 1500ish on the ladder and have played a disgusting amount of games as I wait for my pharmacist license to process. I am still working on some of the calcs but it's really based on fooling your opponent at team preview and making the right trades and sacrifices. I would definitely love to hear any feedback on how to optimize it or anything as I am still relatively new at this and learning as I go.

EDIT: after cracking the top 1000 and getting into more serious games: this team doesnt check zapdos hard enough. Nidoking needs to be switched with either nihilego or maybe AV rhyperior. Not sure yet

So here’s my Day 1 series 10 team. Obviously it’s not too optimized, as I don’t really know how the meta is gonna shake out with such a drastic change in gameplay, but here it is regardless.
:xerneas: :Dragapult: :Kartana: :urshifu: :Quagsire: :Pheromosa:

Oh Deer (Xerneas) @ Power Herb
Ability: Fairy Aura
Level: 50
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Geomancy
- Moonblast
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast

I picked Xerneas simply because she’s my favorite restricted mon, and that’s really all there is to it. The set is fairly standard, consisting of Geomancy, Moonblast for STAB, Thunderbolt for the whale, and Focus Blast for steels. Clear ditto and/or strong priority mons out and then Geomancy to clean house, pretty basic stuff.

Kim Drag Un (Dragapult) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
Level: 50
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Shadow Ball
- Fire Blast
- Scald

Unfortunately my favorite Dragoon, Garchomp, just isn’t well suited to what I need on this team, so Pult will have to do. Pretty basic Specs set, except I chose scald as the last move, simply because catching Zacian switches is nice, you don’t have to risk a fire blast miss, and generally scald is just a very safe move to throw around if youre still trying to feel the opponents team and playstyle out.

Paper Cut (Kartana) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Beast Boost
Level: 50
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Leaf Blade
- Sacred Sword
- Smart Strike
- Brick Break

The mandatory anti whale measure for a restricted ruleset. All this thing is supposed to do is scare Kyogre away, although the absence of dynamax does allow Kartana to potentially clean house once grass resists have been chipped into range. The last move slot is pretty flexible, I put brick break on because Ive noticed a big spike in screen teams during the early stages of a metagame, but Kart’s fourth move is subject to change as the meta develops.

Yeetus (Urshifu) @ Choice Band
Ability: Unseen Fist
Level: 50
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Wicked Blow
- Close Combat
- U-turn
- Sucker Punch

Basic CB Urshifu set. Big bad wallbreaker to force some holes early game, sucker punch is nice for revenge killing Caly S if you need to, and wicked blow deals with stall mons decently well. U-turn for momentum and CC for secondary STAB. All pretty basic stuff once again. Click button go brrr

Acquire The Sire (Quagsire) @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Toxic
- Stockpile
- Recover

Fuck you Zacian.

Sticc Bug (Pheromosa) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Beast Boost
Level: 50
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Close Combat
- Triple Axel
- Rapid Spin

While the team isn’t necessarily weak to hazards, it never hurts to have some hazard control if you can fit it. Pheromosa provides a nice secondary U-Turn user, triple axel can threaten Lando, Zygarde, and many other threatening mons. Rapid Spin is pretty self explanatory, however, if you see an opportunity for a Mosa sweep, you can spin to boost your speed, and compensate for the lack of a jolly nature. With an adamant nature, Mosa gets an attack boost with every kill, allowing her to snowball quite easily in the right situation, but generally Mosa is just an offensive hazard remover, allowing the team to last a little longer against bulkier teams.

And that’s it, a pretty basic team, but I quite enjoyed playing with it. As the meta develops, I’ll likely make tweaks to the team to compensate those developments, until then, happy battling!

Some edits I’ve made so far
- Swapped dragapult’s item for focus sash, and also started using a timid nature for more reliable revenge killing.
- Experimenting with shed shell on Quagsire, while the loss of passive recovery is a blow, not being trapped is potentially worth that trade off. Still unsure about what item is better though.
- Beginning to experiment with more options for kartana’s last move. Night Slash is an attractive option for another way to handle shadow rider.

My Day 1 series 10 team rental! I made by mixing alot of top rated nouthca teams

Pokepaste* : https://pokepast.es/30ceab07ff634881

*In game Eternauts isnt 0 atk iv, its 31

Team is mainly anti-:zacian:

:Eternatus: is a good bait mon but most of the battle's so far it's a 2nd pick and only for battles of having higher chances of winning

:Scizor: bulid is meant as a anti-:zacian: , 0 speed allows u-turn to work on your favor in mirro matches

:Rotom-Wash: with Assault vest is meant as a :Kyorge: and :Calyrex-Shadow: checks EDIT: dark pulse can only do up to 80% so make sure it's within kill range

:Cinderace: given a moveset that seemed to be series 10 viable, gunk shot to kill :Tapu-Fini: and :Xerneas: turn 1

:Ditto: quick claw over scarf to give it more move choices and be more sacky

:Urshifu: ice punch over counter to hit :landorus-therian: and adamant to deal more damage

Major Weakness

  • Too dependent on favorable match ups
  • trouble dealing with special oriented teams

Im currently at the Masterball Tier with 16:10 Victories with the following Team:

https://pokepast.es/b5474b7abbfa793c

I chose :calyrex-shadow: as restricted Legendary because it outspeeds most other Legies and is able to ohko many Pokemons with its neutral Stabs. Unfortunately it has Problems with Suckerpunch-Users and :ditto:, since my Team doesnt have Checks vs :calyrex-shadow: itself. I only used it in around 15/24 Battles. Unfortunately it got destroyed by surprising Scarfers like :espeon: and :eternatus: with Shadowball.

:quagsire: is probably the best Check vs :zacian-crowned:. It can also check many other phyisical Threats like :garchomp:, :hippowdon:, :landorus-therian:, :urshifu: etc... 4 Speed Evs are for potential Speedtiers. Amnesia is to Setup vs chanceless physical Breakers.

:zapdos-galar: Very Standard. Adamant Nature, because it already outspeed Mons like :dragapult:, :zacian-crowned: etc... I chose Thundorous Kick over CC to setup against physical Walls like :hippowdon:, :skarmory: etc..

:lycanroc-dusk: Very simple but effective Set. Counter allows me the win Lead-Matchups vs :rillaboom:, :landorus-therian:, :zacian-crowned:, :garchomp: etc..
The Sash is also very helpful in Midgames, when Im worried about getting swept. I play adamant because I have 2 Moves with lower/higher Priority. Unfortunately I`m slower than :urshifu: and in Speed-Tier with :mimikyu:, but well..

:goodra: My Special Wall. Acid Spray is a very helpful Setup-Move since :goodra: doesnt have much Breaking-Potential. It also forces very much switchouts. The Coverage allows :goodra: to beat defensive Mons like :toxapex:, :ferrothorn: etc.. Even special Fairys like :gardevoir: and :tapu-fini: lost against my :goodra: thanks to the Assault Vest.

:gothitelle: My MVP until now. In certain Matchups she is totally broken and I totally get, why the hidden Ability is banned in 6vs6. Her Task is to punish Stallers. Also allows me to timerstall my Opponents or make them ragequit. Trapping :ditto: (being transformed in :lycanroc-dusk:)and :quagsire: used to be effective as well.

Alrighty, here’s my Series 10 team as of now.
:Eternatus: :Blissey: :Urshifu: :Aegislash: :Quagsire: :Landorus-therian:

-
Dargoon (Eternatus) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Pressure
Level: 50
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Recover
- Sludge Bomb
- Dynamax Cannon

Eternatus is a fantastic choice for a restricted Pokémon. Poison/Dragon is an excellent typing and Eternatus has the tools to make great use of it both offensively and defensively. Pressure can help in stalemate situations, forcing your opponent into a more vulnerable state faster. Sludge Bomb is my pick over sludge wave, as the higher poison rate is more valuable than Sludge Wave’s 5 extra BP. Recover helps Eternatus stay alive longer and pressure the opponent more consistently throughout the course of a longer game.

-
Egghead Inc. (Blissey) (F) @ Utility Umbrella
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Soft-Boiled
- Thunder Wave
- Tri Attack
- Shadow Ball

Blissey is a fantastic stop to the myriad of threatening special attackers restricted formats bring. I chose Blissey over chansey because with a utility umbrella, Blissey is able to stand in the way of even specs Kyogre without much issue. Shadow Ball gives Blissey an option to check shadow rider Calyrex as well, and thunder wave can be used to punish switches and give a nasty parting gift to mons that attempt to break through bliss with sheer power. I chose tri attack instead of another utility move because of the status chance, getting a clutch burn or paralysis can really swing a game in your favor.

-
Yeetus (Urshifu) @ Choice Band
Ability: Unseen Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Wicked Blow
- Close Combat
- U-turn
- Sucker Punch

Nothing much to say here, click button hit hard. Everyone knows how strong Urshifu is, just try to not get too carried away with spamming wicked blow, lest you let something like Xerneas come in for free. Other than that, excellent wallbreaker and absolutely trucks through slower teams. Yeetus deleetus.

-
Mr. Pokey (Aegislash) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Stance Change
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- King's Shield
- Shadow Sneak
- Gyro Ball
- Close Combat

The man of the hour when it comes to killing Xerneas. Aegislash is an amazing revenge killer for the likes of Xern, SR, and Dragapult in particular. I chose to run min speed with gyro ball as to ensure as much damage to Xern as possible after a Geomancy. Shadow sneak is there to pick her off should she live, and also can kill shadow Rex from full HP. Close Combat isn’t used much, but can be nice for surprising Urshifu should Aegislash have to. Focus sash is my item of choice, simply because I don’t want to get critted by a Thunder and lose to Xerneas outright. Just an extra layer of insurance to make sure Aegislash does his job.

-
Dropping Fish (Landorus-Therian) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 50
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Rock Tomb
- Stone Edge

Everyone should know why Landorus is here, great mon, very splashable on just about any team. Scarf Lando here is mainly a lead/pivot to help scout and support the big hitters on the team. I picked stone edge as a secondary rock move just in case Lando needs to do a bit more damage to something.

-
Setup Fodder (Quagsire) @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Toxic
- Stockpile
- Recover

so we don’t auto lose to Sword Doggo. He also can stop a bunch of setup mons pretty easily too. When grass types are removed he can become a wincon late game as well. Fantastic mon in the right situation.

And now I will go play something I actually enjoy lol

Long time no see, here is my early Series 10 Yveltal team.
:Yveltal: :Toxapex: :Chansey: :Hippowdon: :Nihilego: :Aegislash:

When I was looking at Yveltal's stats at nouthuca I found it interesting that many Yveltal users put Chansey + Toxapex stall core in the back. The stall core can chip away opponents so that Yveltal can finish them off with Sucker Punch, or do some timer stall with Roost.
스크린샷 2021-08-26 오후 1.38.08.png

Next, I found some Japanese players (most notably, 'Kuroko' who topped swsh ladder 4 times) using Yveltal + Rocky Helmet Aegislash. So I decided to use Aegislash as a Zacian counter in my team. It is nice to know that Life Orb Yveltal's Foul Play + 2 Helmet Chips + Shadow Sneak or Sucker Punch can 100% kill a random Zacian.
Finally I borrowed nine-poke's idea of Hippowdon + Nihilego to win against Eternatus stall.

Yveltal @ Life Orb
Ability: Dark Aura
Level: 50
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Toxapex @ Black Sludge

Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
Level: 50

Sup. I rarely post. But am usually in the BSS Discord under 'Mr.Kai' you've probably seen me around.

I tend to attempt to build teams that answer the metas most common threats and to that end, I've created something that's proven pretty effective at doing so while also featuring a mon that's often overlooked for that one restricted slot.

Here's a glance + rental code.

2021082603180500-B8FAEF4816CAC2B76D11869B05CA7601.jpg

I'll briefly go over the spreads and explain my decisions.

Lugia @ Kee Berry
Ability: Multiscale
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 76 SpA / 180 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Air Slash
- Calm Mind
- Earth Power
- Recover

This bird turned out to be an absolute monster. The speed evs allow her to outspeed jolly urshifu and timid volcarona. 76 spa evs are allocated to give some oomph to our attacks after one or two cms with the rest in hp for general bulk. Kee Berry turns lugia into an unbelievable wall, allowing her to win 1v1 vs even wild charge zacian and 2ko with earth power after the +1 proc. Assuming we are multiscaled. Her absurd bulk even allows her to cm up in front of yveltal (which we outspeed) and win 1v1. Earth Power was chosen as our secondary attack mainly to damage magma storm/taunt heatran. Which might otherwise give the team trouble in situations where toad wasn't chosen. I'd like to note that while heavy duty boots is an option, it usually isn't needed. Kee allows lugia to win vs things like offensive landorus, groudon and cinderace.

Buzzwole @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Beast Boost
Level: 50
EVs: 204 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD / 44 Spe
Impish Nature
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Rest
- Darkest Lariat

This thing walls about 90% of the physical meta and compliments lugia nicely. Straight up beating out critbears (particularly the choiced ones), zygarde and tons of other threats 1v1. In some circumstances, it can even take on things that hit it super effectively. Darkest Lariat is its overall best move imo. Allowing it to boost along with things like ID skarm/ferro and coil zygarde and beat them 1v1 easily. Rest is chosen over lunge because lunge isn't really needed. And frankly, rest gives you the ability to just sit there and wall stuff the entire game if they aren't prepared.

Umbreon @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Foul Play
- Yawn
- Wish
- Protect

This is the cal-s answer. But aside from that, having the ability to sleep things, wish pass AND spam stabbed foul play is pretty absurd. Pretty self explanatory mon. Everyone knows how good this thing is.

Seismitoad @ Assault Vest
Ability: Water Absorb
Level: 50
EVs: 44 HP / 252 SpA / 212 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Grass Knot
- Earth Power
- Scald
- Sludge Wave

This is the water immune and kyogre answer. Aside from that, it also shuts down some of the most common offensive kyogre partners, especially zapdos. Preventing volt switch pivots and slinging out potential scald burns while also synergizing with almost every other member of the team is invaluable. The coverage and offensive presence is also pretty nice.

Doublade @ Eviolite
Ability: No Guard
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 124 Def / 128 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Sacred Sword
- Gyro Ball
- Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance

This thing is amazing. Answering the most used restricted mon in the meta extremely well. We always 2ko zacian with gyro ball while it would take zacian 4 wild charges to put us down. Additionally, we always live modest +2 252 SpA xerneas' moonblast and kill it back with a combination of gyro ball and shadow sneak.

Gothitelle @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Shadow Tag
Level: 50
EVs: 44 HP / 156 Def / 76 SpA / 4 SpD / 228 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Trick
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Psyshock

This is our stallbreaker. Evs allow us to outspeed bulky eternatus (particularly the ones evd to heavily into defense to better answer cb urshi and tar) and trick them as they toxic or sub/cosmic. Our hp makes chanseys seismic toss a 4ko and our defense allows us to shrug off quagsire earthquakes and similar powered attacking moves that stall employs to chip away at teams. Simple strat. Trick, boost and rest until they struggle, trick your scarf back as they die and either sweep or trick the next mon. She also has utility vs bulky offense tricking things like bulky fini and porygon 2 making it much easier to deal with them later.
