Basculegion-F (F) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 8 HP / 4 Def / 244 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Surf
- Shadow Ball
- Ice Beam

Basculegion-F, quite fittingly for its Ghost typing, scares its opponents to death with its incredibly strong STAB moves. Rain amps up its already respectable power while activating Swift Swim. Shadow Ball is another STAB option that comes with the benefit of hitting Ghost-types such as Spectrier and Flutter Mane hard. Ice Beam lets Basculegion-F hit Grass- and Dragon-types such as Amoonguss and Dragonite that attempt to take its STAB moves. The given EV spread lets Basculegion-F survive +2 Brave Bird from Bulk Up Corviknight, greatly benefiting Water's matchup against Steel. Pelipper is a necessary teammate; along with setting rain, it can pivot Basculegion-F in with U-turn. Floatzel and Barraskewda are also good teammates, as they take advantage of rain to overpower special walls such as Hisuian Goodra and Toxapex. Hisuian Samurott eases Basculegion-F's task by setting Spikes, letting it break through Amoonguss and Water Absorb Clodsire. Urshifu-R is another good teammate, as it provides switch-in opportunities with U-turn. Toxapex functions as a good defensive backbone, being able to handle threats such as Choice Scarf Flutter Mane and Enamorus. Finally, Gastrodon provides a crucial Electric immunity, letting Basculegion-F avoid Volt Switch from the likes of Regieleki and Sandy Shocks.

Check out this replay from this year's MPL to see Basculegion-F wash away the opponent's team!

Basculegion-F, quite fittngly for its Ghost typing, scares its opponents to death with its incredibly strong STAB moves. Rain amps up its already respectable power to incredibly threatening levels while activating Swift Swim, letting Basculegion-F outpace and demolish the metagame (could include examples of stuff it outspeeds under rain, preferably stuff it couldnt otherwise beat). Ice Beam lets Basculegion-F hit Grass-types such as Meowscarada (replace with something else, Meow runs Scarf and will always beat Basculegion-F even under rain) and Amoonguss that attempt to take its STAB moves. Finally, Shadow Ball is another STAB option that comes with the benefit of hitting Ghost-types such as Spectrier and Flutter Mane hard. The given EV spread lets Basculegion-F survive a +2 Brave Bird from Bulk Up Corviknight, greatly increasing benefiting Water’s matchup against Steel. Pelipper is a necessity - along with setting rain, it can pivot Basculegion-F in with U-turn. Floatzel and Barraskewda are also good teammates, as they take advantage of Rain on the physical side to overpower special walls (like?) Finally, Hisuian Samurott can ease Basculegion-F’s task by setting Spikes. list some pokemon spikes are relevant for

if you have room, do this in this order:
- Urshfu-R as a teammate
- Toxapex as a teammate
- Gastro as a teammate
- Greninja as a teammate

this isn't stamped yet tbc I wanna see it again
