Barraskewda is the most threatening Swift Swim user found on rain teams. Outspeeding most Pokemon in the tier under rain, Barraskewda can easily pressure many teams with its STAB Liquidation that threatens the OHKO on Pokemon like Zacian-C and hits many Pokemon from defensive teams at least neutrally. Against Pokemon like Eternatus, Toxapex, Ferrothorn, and other Pokemon that resist Water, Barraskewda has appropriate coverage moves to hit them super effectively.

However, Barraskewda has many shortcomings in practice. Barraskewda's extreme frailty leaves it reliant on KOing a foe, so it often needs its teammates to set up entry hazards to help it perform its job and let it switch in safely. Although the issue can be lessened by Dynamaxing, opposing Pokemon can simply choose to Dynamax as well and seek a chance to win the duel. Choice Band is typically used to maximize Barraskewda's damage output, improving the odds that a rain-boosted Liquidation will OHKO Zacian and 2HKO Zamazenta with little prior damage, but Life Orb can be considered to make Barraskewda more flexible outside of Dynamax at the cost of hampering its longevity and worsening the risk it has against defensive Pokemon that it struggles to outright KO.

Pelipper should be present in the team, as Barraskewda is too frail to set up rain for itself with Max Geyser; Pelipper can also set up a longer rain if holding a Damp Rock. Zacian-C can use its good coverage movepool to eliminate threats to Barraskewda, allowing it to focus more on cleaning up weakened teams. Entry hazards can be set by Pokemon like Ferrothorn, which also checks Gyarados that may attempt to set up on Barraskewda after the rain stops.

If we're gonna go with Band i think mentioning Dracovish along with the other water resists is useful awareness.

Besides that, all good.

Banned deucer.
I touched over LO vs Band on Discord the other day and concluded band is the superior choice. LO gives you more flexibility. Band is obviously worse for Dynamax potential tho Barra is a bad dynamax option

Pelipper should be present in the team, as Barraskewda is too frail to set up rain for itself with Max Geyser; (SC) and Pelipper can also set up a longer rain if holding a Damp Rock. Specialized wallbreakers like Zacian-C that appropriately adjusted coverage moves and Dracovish can help Barraskewda focus more on cleaning up weakened teams and save Dynamax. Zacian-C can use its good coverage movepool to eliminate threats to Barraskewda, allowing it to focus more on cleaning up weakened teams. (The original sentence is quite confusing, so I tried to word it in a better way without losing the meaning) Entry hazards can be set by Pokemon like Ferrothorn, (AC) that which also checks Gyarados that may attempt to set up on Barraskewda after the rain stops.
