Mega-sableye is a counter to marsh. It can switch in on marsh, avoid the 2hko from LO spectral thief and can proceed to recover spam until its nearly at full, all while marsh takes life recoil, before doing big damage with foul play. It also completely destroys those sash sets that are popular on the ladder thanks to the immunity to endeavour, and can bounce back swagger, avoid the KO from +2 LO spectral thief and OHKO back with foul play. Reserving defensive Xerneas.

No one would tell me how to get a Xern sprite into a smogon post so you all are getting my fanart

Panties Drop (Xerneas) @ Leftovers
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Defog
- Thunder Wave / Toxic
- Aromatherapy / Rest

So defensive Xerneas is a set a lot of people know about, but no one uses. Xern has a pretty big HP stat so with defensive investment, it becomes a fairy good (see what I did there) tank and check (perhaps counter) to LO Mixed Marshadow. The reason I wouldn't consider defensive Xern a true counter is because it can't switch repeatedly (though it can 1-2 times) into Marsh's attacks and it's forced to run Rest, should it want to counter. This set checks any form of Marshadow, including LO and Z (but not the ladder Jesus's running Iron Head). Defensive Xern is notable with Defog in that it beats the most common Taunt'ers, including Yveltal, Mewtwo, Deoxys, and Druddigon, but not MGar (Even then MGar generally doesn't want to directly switch-in to Xern). The first set of slashes is better on a bulky offense build (being able to provide Aromatherapy support and Twave the incoming DM because it's the best attack in the game) while the second is better for balance and semistall builds (discount Giratina that beats CM Refresh Arc-Dark). Enough talking, let's see some fucking calcs:

252 Atk Life Orb Marshadow Spectral Thief vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Xerneas: 140-165 (30.7 - 36.2%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Xern also eats the potential +1 Star-Strike:
+1 252 Atk Marshadow Soul-Stealing 7-Star Strike vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Xerneas: 346-408 (76 - 89.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

And does this in return:
0 SpA Fairy Aura Xerneas Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Marshadow: 374-444 (116.5 - 138.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO (was this even a question?)

Here's some other calcs:

0 SpA Fairy Aura Xerneas Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Deoxys-Speed: 187-222 (61.5 - 73%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (lead, Aromatherapy into their Taunt, Moonblast into Rocks, Moonblast again to kill, Taunt wears off, they don't know you have Defog, and you remove hazards)
0 SpA Fairy Aura Xerneas Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Arceus: 147-174 (33.1 - 39.1%) -- 99.8% chance to 3HKO (they're forced to Recover after if they want Arc to continue checking the physical threats and you twave anything trying to set up on you)
+6 0 SpA Dread Plate Arceus-Dark Judgment vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Xerneas: 303-357 (66.5 - 78.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery (as if they're ever getting to +6 with Moonblast's drop rate)

Poisonceus is a check to marshadow, poisonceus can tank 3 spectral tief LO and with wisp can burn to marsh and now burned marsh is 5HKO spectral tief. Also is a great check to Fairy types like Fairyceus, Xernas Geo, more fairy types, can wisp to Necro-DM, Mega Ray and more physical attackers

Muk-Alola @ Assault Vest
Ability: Poison Touch
EVs: 248 HP / 80 Atk / 180 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Pursuit
- Shadow Sneak
- Knock Off
- Poison Jab

AV Muk-Alola is probably the best Lunala counter by far. Focus Blast after 1 CM is a 3HKO, while Muk-Alola can 2HKO with Knock Off. The Attack evs and nature are to ensure you trap Mega Gengar, with the rest in HP and Spdef. If Lunala tries to switch out, you can pursuit trap it so you guarantee the kill if Muk-Alola can get in Vs Lunala. Muk Alola's typing and high Spdef due to AV simply mean there is no way for Lunala to get past this Pokémon.

Calcs:
+1 252+ SpA Lunala Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 180 SpD Assault Vest Muk-Alola: 126-149 (30.5 - 36%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ SpA Lunala Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 180 SpD Assault Vest Muk-Alola: 85-100 (20.5 - 24.2%) -- 81.5% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock
80+ Atk Muk-Alola Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Shadow Shield Lunala: 192-228 (46.2 - 54.9%) -- 57.8% chance to 2HKO
80+ Atk Muk-Alola Pursuit vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Shadow Shield Lunala: 116-140 (27.9 - 33.7%) -- 0.5% chance to 3HKO
80+ Atk Muk-Alola Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Lunala: 384-456 (92.5 - 109.8%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO (after shadow shield is broken)
80+ Atk Muk-Alola Pursuit vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Lunala: 232-280 (55.9 - 67.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (after shadow shield is broken)

Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Soft-Boiled
- Heal Bell
- Toxic
- Confide

If you think that running focus blast will save you from the fat blob you are dead wrong

252 SpA Lunala Focus Blast vs. 4 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Chansey: 128-152 (19.9 - 23.6%) -- possible 5HKO
+1 252 SpA Lunala Focus Blast vs. 4 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Chansey: 190-224 (29.5 - 34.8%) -- 11.3% chance to 3HKO
+2 252 SpA Lunala Focus Blast vs. 4 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Chansey: 254-300 (39.5 - 46.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Spamming confide prevents lunala from setting up and once you get a toxic off will put lunala on a timer

There isn't really much to say other than that, but due to its ability to eat focus blasts and prevent lunala from setting up Chansey is a Counter to lunala

Marshadow @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pursuit
- Close Combat
- Spectral Thief
- Shadow Sneak

This is a good check to Lunala since Spectral Thief has a 94% chance to OHKO from full. As such, this will force most Lunalas out, thereby stopping their sweep. Instead, if you're ballsy enough you could Pursuit (58.7 - 69.6%) - a KO after SR damage, and even without SR, it deals enough damage to prevent Lunala from setting up on say a Support Arceus for example crippling it for the rest of the game (0 SpA Pixie Plate Arceus-Fairy Judgment vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Lunala: 142-168 (34.2 - 40.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO). Marshadow can switch in on a predicted non Moongeist Beam turn/double switch to avoid losing a mon but that's extremely risky - you might lose your only Lunala stop.
