Marshadow @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Close Combat
- Spectral Thief
- Shadow Sneak
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Arceus-Ghost Extreme Speed vs. Marshadow: 0-0 (0 - 0%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252 Atk Choice Band Marshadow Spectral Thief vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Arceus-Ghost: 366-432 (96 - 113.3%) -- 75% chance to OHKO

Submitting Choice Band Marshadow as a check because Arceus is bulky. If Arceus Ghost has used Swords dance then Marshadow will just retaliate with a +2 Spectral Thief.

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Toxic
- Recover
- Earthquake
- Scald
Submitting Quagsire as a counter. Shadow Force 2HKOes Quagsire, and SDs don't matter thanks to its great ability Unaware. All of the other attacks Ghostceus has in this set do too little damage to Quagsire, while it can just Toxic Ghostceus and spam Recover.
252+ Atk Spooky Plate Arceus-Ghost Shadow Force vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 195-231 (49.4 - 58.6%) -- 69.5% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Arceus-Ghost Brick Break vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 68-81 (17.2 - 20.5%) -- possible 7HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Arceus-Ghost Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 45-53 (11.4 - 13.4%) -- possibly the worst move ever

Marshadow takes the victory, congrats WrathoftheLeopard!
Moving on:

:sm/necrozma-ultra:

Necrozma-Dusk-Mane @ Ultranecrozium Z
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Photon Geyser
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Even though its USUM glory days are over due to a combination of Zacian-C redefining speed tiers and the usually mandatory nature of Necrozma-DM, Ultra Necrozma is still capable of inciting fear on many standard builds in the metagame and remains a good late-game cleaner regardless of Zacian-C due to the addition of Dragon Dance and the relative absence of Mega Gengar and Marshadow. Teams are usually very poorly prepared against it, so it's about time we start taking it into account a little more.

[Submission phase ends Saturday 13th June 3 PM GMT]

Zacian-Crowned @ Rusted Sword
Ability: Intrepid Sword
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Behemoth Blade
- Wild Charge
- Close Combat
- Play Rough / Crunch / Assurance / Substitute / Protect / Swords Dance
Submitting Zacian-C as a check. This should be pretty self-explanatory. Zacian-C outspeeds and OHKOes. It always beats Ultra Necrozma if it hasn't used DD yet. Adamant nature is needed in order to always OHKO Ultra Necrozma with Behemoth Blade. If you are using Zacian-C as your Ultra Necrozma answer, make sure your team punishes him for using DD, as Zacian-C loses if Ultra Necrozma has used DD once.
+1 252+ Atk Zacian-Crowned Behemoth Blade vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Necrozma-Ultra: 339-399 (101.1 - 119.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+1 252+ Atk Neuroforce Necrozma-Ultra Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Zacian-Crowned: 384-454 (118.1 - 139.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Adamant Nature
- Sunsteel Strike
- Photon Geyser
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance

Nominating Necrozma-Dusk Mane as an offensive check to DD Ultra Necrozma. Necrozma-Dusk Mane is 2HKO'd by EQ or +1 EQ and Searing Sunraze Smash will always OHKO.

252+ Atk Neuroforce Necrozma-Ultra Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Prism Armor Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 177-208 (52.8 - 62%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252+ Atk Neuroforce Necrozma-Ultra Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Prism Armor Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 264-312 (78.8 - 93.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Submitting Arceus Dark as a counter.

:sm/arceus-dark:
Arceus-Dark @ Dread Plate
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 248 HP / 160 Def / 84 SpA / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Judgment
- Ice Beam
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover

The Special Attack EVs allow Arcues Dark to always OHKO a transformed Ultra Necrozma, and the Speed EVs allow ARceus Dark to outspeed neutral nature Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. The rest are dumped into physical bulk. Ultra Necrozma's strongest attacks versus Arceus Dark are Earthquake / Stone Edge. If Ultra Necrozma decides not to burst to retain Prism Armour and some bulk, it is vunerable to Will-O-Wisp.

Necrozma-Ultra Light That Burns the Sky vs. Arceus-Dark: 0-0 (0 - 0%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252+ Atk Necrozma-Ultra Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 160+ Def Arceus-Dark: 99-117 (22.3 - 26.4%) -- 14.7% chance to 4HKO
+1 252+ Atk Necrozma-Ultra Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 160+ Def Arceus-Dark: 147-174 (33.1 - 39.2%) -- 100% chance to 3HKO
+2 252+ Atk Necrozma-Ultra Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 160+ Def Arceus-Dark: 197-232 (44.4 - 52.3%) -- 19.1% chance to 2HKO
+3 252+ Atk Necrozma-Ultra Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 160+ Def Arceus-Dark on a critical hit: 369-435 (83.2 - 98.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
84 SpA Dread Plate Arceus-Dark Judgment vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Necrozma-Ultra: 336-396 (100.2 - 118.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
84 SpA Dread Plate Arceus-Dark Judgment vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Prism Armor Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 226-267 (67.4 - 79.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Submitting Choice Scarf Zacian as a check as well as a full counter to any unboosted Ultra Necrozma that has used its Z-move.
Zacian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intrepid Sword
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Play Rough
- Crunch
- Wild Charge
- Close Combat
252+ Atk Necrozma-Ultra Photon Geyser vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Zacian: 193-228 (59.3 - 70.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252 Atk Zacian Play Rough vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Necrozma-Ultra: 452-534 (134.9 - 159.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Outspeeding Jolly Ultra Necrozma after a Dragon Dance is one of Choice Scarf Zacian's biggest selling points. In fact, it counters every variant of Ultra Necrozma:
252+ Atk Neuroforce Necrozma-Ultra Sunsteel Strike vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Zacian: 256-302 (78.7 - 92.9%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
Even Ultra Nec's best move in its movepool on the switch-in has a less than 50% chance to win after Rocks, accounting for Play Rough's 10% miss rate.
EDIT:
252 Atk Necrozma-Ultra Light That Burns the Sky vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Zacian: 348-411 (107 - 126.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
So Light That Burns the Sky on the switch does KO, making Zac only a check.

Submitting Sash Marshadow as a check.

If rocks aren't up, marshadow wins regardless of boosts. Even if spectral thief doesn't OHKO, the following Shadow Sneak certainly will. Marshadow can proceed to threaten a countersweep or at least heavily chip the next mon if Unecro actually dared to boost while marshadow was still in play.
If rocks are up, you're screwed, but such is the game with SashShadow.

SashShadow can also serve as a hard stop to virtually any other booster (mray, xerneas, zacian) if, of course, rocks are kept off the field.

Marshadow @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spectral Thief
- Shadow Sneak
- Close Combat
- Endeavor

252 Atk Marshadow Spectral Thief vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Necrozma-Ultra: 294-348 (87.7 - 103.8%) -- 25% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Technician Marshadow Shadow Sneak vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Necrozma-Ultra: 198-234 (59.1 - 69.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Obviously SashShadow wins against boosted unecro.

Submitting Corviknight as a counter.

Corviknight
is a solid counter to Ultra necro since earthquake doesnt hit, stone edge doesnt do much and only photon 5hkos.
You can just switch into it iron defense and roost infront of it.Also setting up reflect helps a lot.Payback 3hkos it.
Not good with explanation. Deal with it.

I am not sure why it is showing 30 percent, since in the replay it does around 20 percent damage.Yes the ultra necro is adamant.

Lunala @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Shadow Shield
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hex / Moongeist Beam
- Roost
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roar / Toxic / Defog / whatever other filler you want

Lunala is one of the best counters in the game to Ultra Necrozma thanks to its typing, Shadow Shield and natural bulk, resisting Necrozma's main STAB and not being weak to either of its coverage moves. It is free to fire off a Will-O-Wisp or a super effective Moongeist Beam/Hex against it, and is also able to reliably check SD Arceus (with the exception of Arceus-Ghost) and Weakness Policy Necrozma-DM, and soft check Life Orb Rayquaza, Zacian-C and offensive Groudon.

with Shadow Shield:

+1 252+ Atk Necrozma-Ultra Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Shadow Shield Lunala: 84-99 (17.5 - 20.7%) -- possible 5HKO
252+ Atk Necrozma-Ultra Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Shadow Shield Lunala: 56-66 (11.7 - 13.8%) -- possible 8HKO

without Shadow Shield:

+1 252+ Atk Necrozma-Ultra Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Lunala: 169-199 (35.3 - 41.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Atk Necrozma-Ultra Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Lunala: 113-133 (23.6 - 27.8%) -- 85.4% chance to 4HKO
+1 252+ Atk Necrozma-Ultra Light That Burns the Sky vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Lunala: 252-297 (52.7 - 62.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Necrozma-Ultra Light That Burns the Sky vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Lunala: 168-198 (35.1 - 41.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

hello first post in ag meta so this might be bad but anyways

Nominating a different Necrozma-Dusk-Mane as a check:
:ss/necrozma-dusk-mane:
Necrozma-Dusk-Mane @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 248 HP / 196 Atk / 64 Def
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Swords Dance/Photon Geyser
- Sunsteel Strike
- Earthquake

Calc: 252+ Atk Neuroforce Necrozma-Ultra Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 64 Def Prism Armor Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 168-198 (42.3 - 49.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

The EVs allow it to live 2 hits from U-Necro while still being able to OHKO with an Sunsteel Strike.

+2 196+ Atk Necrozma-Dusk-Mane Sunsteel Strike vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Necrozma-Ultra: 408-481 (121.7 - 143.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

The ideal situation would be, you switch into U-Necro if they’re unboosted, they either DD or Earthquake predicting the switch, but +1 fails to OHKO and +0 fails to 2HKO. You get hit by an Earthquake, activate our weakness policyyyy, set up TR, OHKO them and potentially sweep.

In this ideal situation NDM would be able to manually switch into U-Necro (as a counter), but you’ll most likely either take some damage from Rocks, or they’ve already set up a DD since you don’t know if they’re special or physical turn 1.

E: Also when calcing I noticed that U-Necro’s damage didn’t change when it has and doesn’t have Neuroforce. Seems weird to me so that calc might not be true.

Submitting Zygarde as a check.

Zygarde-Complete @ Leftovers
Ability: Power Construct
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Dragon Tail
- Glare

Zygarde can take many hits from Necrozma and D-Tail it if it's boosts get out of hand.

252+ Atk Necrozma-Ultra Light That Burns the Sky vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zygarde: 273-322 (65 - 76.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Necrozma-Ultra Photon Geyser vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zygarde: 136-162 (32.3 - 38.5%) -- 2.6% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Necrozma-Ultra Light That Burns the Sky vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zygarde-Complete: 273-322 (42.9 - 50.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Necrozma-Ultra Photon Geyser vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zygarde-Complete: 136-162 (21.3 - 25.4%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
4 Atk Zygarde-Complete Dragon Tail vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Necrozma-Ultra: 134-158 (40 - 47.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
