huge relief. i'm hoping to never prep and worry about a series as much as this one ever again. finally winning after falling short in other ubers tours this year also feels really good, like it was all worth it in the end. massive thanks to Icemaster Fc for helping me prep and giving me somewhere to cope this past week. overall I was satisfied with the team choices and was able to pull away early in both games, allowing me a little extra room. i obviously could've converted g2 better after the brave bird crit. not saving more recovers on eternatus, not spamming mystical fire earlier, and losing caly weren't game losing but very short sighted plays that made it more uncertain. i'm not too displeased though, considering the chances for kyogre to crit my own: (+6 crit scald 67.5-79.4 no weather), making pp waring it not completely foolproof if you factor in the scald chip opportunities vs my rested ogre. i think i've had enough of gen8ubers for now (hello SV), but i would like to do one last rant on behalf of everyone who loves (or not) and plays this meta. a memory you could say, of what this truly is:

groudon is almost uncheckable if you want to do it viably, there are multiple auto-win sets in the tier that make preparing a nightmare, zekrom winning or losing for the reason we all know, big 3 on the team or meh, broken HO, ices (not those ones), lunala into no ground type, knock off twave meta, duct taping teams together with eternatus' resist berry, too many overpowered physatk'ers and not enough viable physdef'ers, magnezone, AND
CALYREX!!!!!

i wouldn't change it. SS ubers genuinely improved me as a player and i've learned from playing it

Of the 15 matchups in the tournament, 12 were won by the lower seed, 2 were one by the higher seed, and 1 being a case of activity.
I was going post stats from other circuits of 2022 and Ubers playoffs of 2021 and 2020 but I got tired and bored when I saw most of them didn't have any way for me to easily find who won in each round.
The only good one was 2022 Monotype where 11 of the 15 matchups were won by the lower seed, of which all games past Round 1 were won by the lower seed, with the higher seeds only getting any wins in Round 1 (4 wins).

15th seed Skarph continues the trend of only odd # seeds winning the Ubers Ribbon
2021 - #3 Exiline
2020 - #9 Pohjis
2019 - #15 Garay oak
2018 - #11 Exiline

I'm sorry I couldn't find or come up with anything else - very partially due to my own laziness. If you're offended by my procrastination and lack of work ethic yet still reading this, I hope you have a joyful 2023 <3
