Points System
Will be included in the spreadsheet
Seasonals
Seasonals are a best-of-3, double-elimination tournament. There will be a Seasonal to play in the Winter and Summer.
Grand Slam
The Grand Slam is a two-stage tournament. In the first stage, players can sign up for National Dex AG, UU, and Monotype tournaments; these are best-of-3, single-elimination tournaments where players earn points to compete in the second stage. The 16 players with the most points will compete in the second stage, which is a seeded single-elimination tournament.
The points gained for Cups will count towards both the Circuit Playoffs and Grand Slam Playoffs. They are counted separately.
Ladder Tournament
The Ladder Tournament is divided into two stages. The first stage consists of 4 cycles of laddering, where players get to sign up and ladder to the top; the top 8 players from each cycle will progress into the second stage. The second stage is a seeded single-elimination tournament.
Last Chance
The Last Chance tournament is a Type B, best-of-3, single elimination tournament, and it is pretty self-explanatory: It allows players to have one last chance to qualify for the Circuit Playoffs.

Grand Slam reduced to Type B
We reduced the playoff points to Type B because we want the Top 16 at the end of the year to be comprised of people who mainly focus on National Dex, seeing as that's the tournament all playoff games are played in, but we didn't want to completely rule out AG/UU/Monotype players.
Removal of National Dex Majors
National Dex Majors is inherently flawed as a format and is difficult to keep up with both as a player and as a host. A Last Chance tournament was a better way to introduce the same competitive spirit while giving the hosts an easier time.
Removal of Third Seasonal
The biggest complaint received about the circuit from the community was about how there was a third seasonal without any way to really keep up with it due to NDPL going on at the same time/lack of motivation. To rectify this, we moved NDPL to sooner in the year and made the Last Chance tour take the spot of the third seasonal to ensure that people who truly want to make it to the top 16 and are actually at risk of dropping out of the top 16 sign up.
