  1. Ubers: Why not?

Don't get it. There's a set number of roles, so if everything is outclassed, you're not losing any variety. example: in order for kingdra to be outclassed, something has to outclass it. in order for scizor to be outclassed, something has to outclass it. etc. you're not seeing fewer Pokemon.
  2. Yep, it's yours.

    Yep, it's yours.
  3. Snorlax (Update)

Not grammar-prose, but it should be "always has left and always will leave" but that sounds awkward. The "this" is also ambiguous (the antecedent is unclear). Just say "In addition, Snorlax's typing leaves a lot to be desired."
  4. New UU List (September 2010)

wut Hera's SDef unEV'd > Milotic's Def unEV'd. the point is Hera's special bulk is pretty good for a wallbreaker/sweeper, not that you can wall with Hera.
  5. New UU List (September 2010)

Milotic's physical bulk is 95/79 compared to Heracross' 80/95 special bulk. So yeah, if you've ever used 252 HP/252 Def Bold Milotic, you have no right to say that Heracross has bad Special Def.
  6. DPP UU Spoon up your Ass

Um yeah so you have an SD Quick Attack Blaziken problem if Mismagius is down (and it can be because it's your lead). To remedy this I would recommend 252 Speed EVs on Milotic with a Timid nature, so you can outspeed and OHKO Blaziken using Surf. Nice team and gl.
  7. Sceptile (Life Orb Sweeper)

With 300 HP, Sceptile dies to exactly 10 uses of LO recoil. I would lower it to 299.
  8. NP: UU - Silent Night

I'm not sure what HP Grass is intended to hit besides Regirock, which you aren't breaking lol, but HP Water can hit Aggron harder than your other attacks (even with Fire Blast).
  9. NP: UU - Silent Night

Speaking of Weezing, I've actually been using specially offensive Weezing. It has great coverage, decent attacking power (Modest Weezing is only 10-15 SAtk points behind Timid Mesprit), and is a great answer to Rhyperior, since HP Water will OHKO (Subperior is extremely hard to switch into, as...
  10. NP: UU - Silent Night

I don't know what you are referring to, but I'd like to remind you that if either discussion currently going on bothers you, you are free to disregard the posts being made. I mean, it's not as if any rules are being broken, and insults are certainly not being exchanged (which could be resolved...
  11. NP: UU - Silent Night

I posted only that part because it was the only part that bore any relevance to me. I don't see how isolating that one part changes the meaning of the rest of your post. Removing the context doesn't alter that particular statement's meaning as far as I can see, especially since nothing else...
  12. NP: UU - Silent Night

I am not trying to "prove" anything. If I were trying to prove something, I would be attempting to lobby/veto your vote/nomination, not discuss it here in the megathread. As I recall, the discussion was simply Banedon making a point about the discrepancy between your votes, Heysup agreeing, I...
  13. NP: UU - Silent Night

In response to Eo: While you are correct in asserting that you did not directly incorporate the stated bias into your Venusaur nomination, the bias is present, indirectly injected by the discrepancy that I have addressed. At this point I would like to point out that there are two forms of...
  14. Torment Steelix

I didn't imply that they did. It's the hit Steelix will be taking on the non-Tormented turn that stall the Life Orb--e.g. Rhyperior's Megahorn.
  15. Torment Steelix

Actually, as I remember, when I used this set a few metagames ago (lol, sorry, I haven't tried it recently), I didn't use Toxic--I used Protect. Toxic is probably a useful option, however. Anyway watching a few matches of it indicates to me that Gyro Ball is probably the more useful of the two...
  16. Torment Steelix

@ PK: the set that I actually ran was Gyro Ball + EQ with Toxic Spikes support from offensive Drapion, yes. however, most of this forum is opposed to the use of Toxic Spikes as far as I know (mostly due to Venuaur), so I left Toxic as the main option.
  17. Torment Steelix

How does Ice Beam Milotic beat it? If you read, the EVs ensure that Ice Beam won't break Steelix's Sub.
  18. Torment Steelix

Torment Steelix http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/steelix So, uh, yeah, I made this a long time ago and was encouraged to post it since others are trying it. lol. So the idea here is to Sub up while your opponent switches in something that can beat Steelix, only to have Steelix’s counter owned...
  19. NP: UU - Silent Night

I don't follow. If your playstyle involves a lot of switching and the Pokemon that you're nominating takes advantage of switches--should not your playstyle make the Pokemon stronger? That should be taken into account. If you have the one counter to a particular Pokemon on your team, of course...
  20. NP: UU - Silent Night

It's pretty hard to respond to this without being smart-ass-y, but I'll try. Saying "i had more trouble with Venusaur because of my playstyle" in defense to a point regarding why you nominated one and did not vote the other BL is, frankly, admitting bias. Of course everyone has bias, but...
