RegenVest Celesteela utilizes its excellent defensive typing to act as a reliable pivot capable of soft checking numerous threats, including Mega Garchomp, Flutter Mane, Tidy Up Arceus-Ground, and Take Heart Arceus formes. Knock Off provides excellent utility, nullifying offensive threats by removing items like Life Orb and Choice Specs while relieving defensive Pokemon of items like Covert Cloak and Leftovers. Stone Axe helps reduce Celesteela's passivity by providing entry hazard support for teammates. Salt Cure deters Pokemon like Take Heart Arceus formes from using Celesteela as setup bait, and it deals good chip damage to Imposter users. Doom Desire is an option to support offensive teammates against walls like Mega Audino. Beak Blast punishes moves such as U-turn and deters moves like Bolt Strike and Electro Drift. Even with Assault Vest, Celesteela's natural bulk is only decent, so it requires sturdy teammates like Ice Scales Mega Audino and Ho-Oh to pivot into to help against powerful wallbreakers like Choice Specs Flutter Mane and Mega Alakazam. Celesteela's typing also leaves it vulnerable to threats like Miraidon and Fire-type coverage from Pokemon such as Eternatus, making walls like Magic Guard Blissey desirable teammates. Imposter users also pair well with Celesteela to defeat Take Heart Arceus formes after they have been hit by Salt Cure. Imposter-proofing Celesteela can be annoying, with Take Heart Arceus formes and Magic Guard Pokemon that do not mind losing their item being decent options to do so.

Salt Cure deters Pokemon like Take Heart Arceus formes from using Celesteela as setup bait, as well as dealing and it deals good chip damage to Imposter users. Doom Desire is an option to support offensive teammates against walls like Mega Audino. Beak Blast is a reasonably strong STAB move and can punish punishes beak blast's damage is inconsequential in 99% of cases; you put it on for the burn and only the burn moves such as U-turn and deters moves like Bolt Strike and Electro Drift. Even with an Assault Vest, Celesteela's natural bulk is only decent, so it requires sturdy teammates to pivot into like Ice Scales Mega Audino and Ho-Oh to help against powerful wallbreakers like Choice Specs Flutter Mane and Mega Alakazam.
