  • Id like to suggest the usage of Meloetta-Pirouette without the need of using the move relic song, so it begins the battle in pirouette form, and stays that way for the whole battle.

    Weevil already got a buff with Moxie, so no to that.

    I need to follow up on another houndoom buff before I bring this to the council, but I'm not overly thrilled by focus blast.

    I don't think Giga Drain is going to make Rotom-C super viable.

    Isn't Icy Wind 65 BP? Regardless, I dunno about Tech Tenta. All it's gonna do is beat up on fairies a little more.

    Theorymon stuff: I posted a suggestion to Recreant about Probopass Rock/Steel>Rock/Electric + Levitate and just wanted to make sure it qualifies as a terrible thing that would need a double buff haha. Also another one I came up with is Cresselia + Reflect Type. Thoughts?

    It'd be a very good niche though. A birdspam check that can lay rocks and pivot with supreme defenses. It can also utilize its other ability Magnet Pull and have interesting matchups (switches into Excadrill, they expect Levitate so they switch, can't, Probo sets up Magnet Rise, Probo 2hko's with earth power). It has great defenses on either spectrum. Many of the waters that want to switch into it won't as much because of STAB Volt Switch.

    STAB Volt Switch is still eh. It can only switch into Sand Rush Exca, and there are plenty of Mold Breaker Excadrills out there. It really seems way too passive for OU.

    Well running Magnet Pull/Magnet Rise means you can switch into Mold Breaker but I see what you mean. One of its pros is it can run thunder wave and really screw with switchins. It actually has a fair amount of variety in the sets it can run since it can go both Def and SpDef, can run either attack moves with Volt Switch, Power Gem, Earth Power, TBolt, or utility with SR, TWave, Magnet Rise, Magic Coat, and finally it has the option between Levitate and Magnet Pull

    For a potential submission, how would recover+encore hitmontop work? It would give it a very unique niche in being a defensive utility mon in OU that spins, has reliable recovery, and has encore so that it cant be used as setup bait for some of the more common mons in OU. (if encore doesn't work, maybe consider taunt.)

    So, I post a suggestion on a theorymon here, right? How about Magic Bounce Jellicent?

    It is like a Mega Sableye without the Mega Stone and has Scald and Wisp to inflict burns as well as Night Shade for some damage.

    Eh. Magic Bounce isn't something I'd love to slate right now because we've done it a few times in the past. Jellicent won't be taking on any additional threats as a result of this, so I'm going to say no.

    How about Dark Aura Zoroark? Can either go special or physical, and it has near perfect coverage on both spectrums, plus it 2hko's most things faster with Sucker Punch. Trash defenses though, but pair it with Volt-turn support?

    Suggesting Drain Punch Poliwrath.
    DP gives Poli reliable STAB, a form of heal, and better offensive presence.
    Thanks to ability and type, Poliwrath already checks and counters Bisharp, MGyarados, Weavile, Keldeo & gator. DP as a STAB hits these mons better than lol Circle throw.

    DP also buffs Poli's SwiftSwim set, and makes it able to run a potent SubDrum set like Chesnaught.

    some cool(more likely hot) noms for some fire types:

    chandelure+shadow tag(always wanted to use it in gen 5 but fck GF for changing it too infiltrator)
    infernape+tinted lens(it might be a little broken but just trying.... :P)
    entei+tinted lens(spam sacred fire with no drawbacks and the least broken of my noms probably)

    sharpedo+swords dance(its sad it has no way to boost its attack)

    I don't like Tinted Lens on Lucario. I don't really like it on anything. It's boring and uncreative. No Guard Toxi is eh. It really doesn't want to lose Dry Skin.

    what about baton pass blissey?? you could pass subs which have almost 200hp to a mon with the appropriate typing as well as safely pass wishes and cm boosts. sub baton pass lets you escape gothitelle trapping too, while still keeping leftovers

    Definite no to Ferro--he's too high in the viability rankings to buff.

    I don't know about Cloyster. I'm not really convinced it wants to give anything up. Ice Shard is pretty tough to give up on since priority is everything these days. I may bring this to the council discussion.

    Baton Pass Blissey is a maybe. I'll talk to the council, but I'm not positive I love it because Blissey doesn't really want to drop many moveslots.
