There is nothing as powerful as a changed mind. You can change your hair, your clothing, your address, your spouse, your friends, but if you don’t change your mind, the same experience will perpetuate itself over and over again because everything outwardly changed but nothing inwardly changed.
I think that inside every adult is the heart of a child. We just gradually convince ourselves that we have to act more like adults.
Parents pass down many things to their children, but this only happens in the framework of genetics. One's life path does not fall under that umbrella.
The umbilical cord being cut after childbirth is the first step of slowly developing into a unique and autonomous creature.
Some people need more time to fully become independent, but eventually this "invisible umbilical cord" will be cut as well. You will get there.
