Probably much too late, but duplicating items by use of the cloning glitch is trivial in Gen 2. There are only a few well-timed off-switches between you and six Leftovers (and I always make sure to duplicate TMs before I use them).

I'm not sure if this is best suited to this subforum, or RoA, but what's the strongest Gen 4 (Ubers) team you can build from a single cartridge, not using trades or glitches? What are the most important differences between the five versions, of DPP and HGSS?

I just want to say how I really like that all three starters are not only viable, but top-tier on the viability ranking list. What are the important roles here, can anyone give me a quick rundown?

Actually, ? is a bad move. ?! is a dubious move that can't be refuted directly, whereas !? is a highly original move that may not be entirely sound. The single ! denotes a good move, !! is a brilliant move, and the ?? is simply a disastrous blunder.

You never specified which generation, so I can't vote. Then again, I don't recognize Mega Evolutions as being part of Pokémon, so I wouldn't have voted anyway.

What's the easiest way to obtain Remoraid, Mareep and Girafarig on a single cartridge of Pokémon Crystal, without trading? I suppose there has to be a way to use glitches in one way or another.

That is wrong. The Red Gyarados can be female, as evidenced by several playthroughs and resets, which would indicate that the Attack DV is not fixed.

The early Water stone is only available in Crystal. In Gold/Silver, you have to wait until well into the postgame, making Staryu considerably less effective. Crystal also has Thunderbolt and Ice Beam, for the postgame, if the early Water stone wasn't enough to set C Staryu apart from G/S Staryu.

So the statement that Snorlax is #1 in GSC and a top 3 Pokémon that should be on every team in RBY is not only applicable to OU, but Ubers as well? Snorlax is truly the soul of the old generations.

If we go by the assumption of Big 3 > Exeggutor > Starmie > Alakazam > Rest of OU, which gap is the more significant one?
