  1. All Gens Pokemon Through the Ages: Flygon

Very true, protect Forre can (relatively) safely lead vs snorlax. It can be very handy. @Bed - not bad points at all but here is the thing. You could go through scenario 2 (standard cloyster play basically) but you should note that you risked Exeggutor getting par'd by thunder in that scenario...
  2. All Gens Pokemon Through the Ages: Flygon

^Turn one spiking vs electrics is arguably forretress' biggest selling point in gsc. I'll trade half his health for that gladly. If you have another spinner, say, starmie, you can run a Forre set like Spikes/HP Bug/Toxic/Explosion which can be REALLY annoying to some teams.
  3. All Gens Pokemon Through the Ages: Flygon

Mushroom, half the reason? I'd say it's more like 90% of the reason is for beating Raikou, the other 10% is for growth passing (and non of it is for Morning Sun). It's not the only growth passer, sure, but it's certainly also not the only recovering psychic poke. A slower paced Espeon set that...
  4. All Gens Pokemon Through the Ages: Flygon

In GSC, morning sun is more of an after thought on Espeon, and in fact, if you want to be successful with Espeon with some real consistency, I wouldn't recommend using Morning Sun. What does Morning Sun do for you? It literally beats Starmie (barely), and that's it. You can't really MS vs...
  5. Gen 2 GSC Viability Ranking (OU)

Tauros needs to go Thunder imo, cause Cloyster is actually a big problem for him. By doing so he sacrifices some accuracy which sucks a lot. It's kinda cool that Tauros can still outspeed Exeggutor and Machamp at -1, but ultimately it's not that great.
  6. Gen 2 GSC Viability Ranking (OU)

Not every Skarm has curse, and not every Rhydon has roar.
  7. Gen 2 GSC Viability Ranking (OU)

HP Ice generally 3 shots Rhydon, but it's close, so with spikes it's possible. Still, we're talking about comparable damage that Ttar takes from Thunders. Neither of them are reliable switch ins against Electrics, and Rhydon is way better at killing them since he has the STAB EQ. Advantage...
  8. Gen 2 GSC Viability Ranking (OU)

Huh? I'm not clear on what you're saying. T-tar doesn't do anything most of the time. He needs some kind of luckily perfect moveset to beat whatever team he's facing. In terms of walling he is basically the same as Rhydon, just far less threatening than Rhydon offensively. Rhydon is a giant...
  9. Gen 2 GSC Viability Ranking (OU)

The more I look at this list, I don't understand why T-Tar is better than Rhydon. T-tar seriously sucks.
  10. OU Forretress

Missy will protect, then mean look, protect, then perish song. She gets a lot of health off those free leftovers. Edit: Uh wait if you get hit on the switch actually I think she just can't fight that especially if she was taking spike damage. HP Ghost actually does a pretty nasty chunk of damage.
  11. Gen 2 GSC Viability Ranking (OU)

errr wait, what is that set then? Spikes, spin, HP Ghost, Toxic/Explosion?
  12. OU Forretress

You should lead Forretress if you're playing Forretress imo. You can find out turn 1 if lax has FB, that's useful. More notably, tho, is Forretress vs Electrics on turn 1. Pretty much without fail people seem to opt to thunder/tbolt Forre here, which means if you're willing to forego spikes all...
  13. Gen 2 GSC Viability Ranking (OU)

HP Ghost 3 hits gengar for like ~43% average damage. If you run Hp Ghost I don't see why Cloyster can't just stay in and keep re-spiking on you tho. No need to spin block when Cloyster can just sit on you. If you try to fully pp waste spikes you're gonna start eating surfs and die. I was...
  14. Gen 2 GSC Viability Ranking (OU)

Gengar is unbelievably good. Best explosion, can trap, can sleep, can dpunch. You name it, he might be doing it. The best A rank mon imo. He just flat out wins games, especially in a single battle.
