but the Last few Gens have been so heavy handed with movepool nerfs that otherwise viable Pokémon are total ass.

like regielec and ghost horse where set up to be ou staples for multiple generations

125 attack, 100 speed, and a good offensive movepool is an OU pokemon bud. STAB Brave Bird and Close Combat, as well as Steel and Ground coverage is not even close to bad. That's how I feel right now, anyway. Especially since Defiant is a good ability for a physical oriented mon.

I hate how GF designs modern movepools. Its always the absolute bare minimum, no neat tricks and shit. Take a look at Gardevoir's movepool and compare it to Tapu Lele. Garvdevoir has wacky shit like Wish and Will o Wisp and Memento and Knock Off, because moves used to be given for lols. Now if moves dint fit the exact plan they have for the mon, they wont get on.

That is what I liked about the Ultra Beasts, they got creative. With Stakataka knowing Trick Room, Leech Seed Celesteela, etc.

Just use Calm Mind instead. It would have been a better option anyways.

The Calyrex rider forms seems to fix a lot of the Horses problems, which is great.

Ice Rider gets Leech Seed, Life Dew, and Trick Room, to provide it with longevity as well as to take advantage of its low speed
Shadow Rider gets Psychic/Psyshock, Giga Drain, Draining Kiss, Tri Attack, Leaf Storm and Pollen Puff to increase its shallow movepool
