Introduction

This guide is here to show you the exact location of all 100 Technical Machines (TM) in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

• General Location: Hammerlocke Eastern Pokémon Center

1. Mega Kick (Normal)

• General Location: Hammerlocke Eastern Pokémon Center

2. Pay Day (Normal)

• Specific Location: From the Motostoke Stadium, head left until you see see a Lapras on a garage, then head down. Follow the path to the TM.

3. Fire Punch (Fire)

• Specific Location: Purchase TM03 at the Wyndon Stadium Pokémon Center for 50,000 Poké Dollars.

4. Ice Punch (Ice)

• General Location: Wyndon Stadium Pokémon Center
• Specific Location: Purchase TM04 at the Wyndon Stadium Pokémon Center for 50,000 Poké Dollars.

5. Thunder Punch (Electric)

• General Location: Wyndon Stadium Pokémon Center
• Specific Location: Purchase TM05 at the Wyndon Stadium Pokémon Center for 50,000 Poké Dollars.

6. Fly (Flying)

• General Location: Stow-on-Side
• Specific Location: From the Pokémon Center, head left and just before the stairs, enter the house on the left. Talk to the NPC to obtain Fly.

7. Pin Missile (Bug)

• General Location: South of Turffield
• Specific Location: On Route 4, head right and look for a Poké Kid (Pikachu variant).

8. Hyper Beam (Normal)

• General Location: Wyndon Stadium Pokémon Center
• Specific Location: Purchase TM08 at the Wyndon Stadium Pokémon Center for 50,000 Poké Dollars.

9. Giga Impact (Normal)

• General Location: Wyndon Stadium Pokémon Center
• Specific Location: Purchase TM09 at the Wyndon Stadium Pokémon Center for 50,000 Poké Dollars.

10. Magical Leaf (Grass)

• General Location: Turffield
• Specific Location: Gift from Milo upon his defeat.

11. Solar Beam (Grass)

• General Location: Turffield
• Specific Location: Head right from the Turffield Pokemon Center and bike onto the water (look for bridge); follow the path to the TM.

12. Solar Blade (Grass)

• General Location: Wyndon Stadium Pokémon Center
• Specific Location: Purchase TM12 at the Wyndon Stadium Pokemon Center for 50,000 Poké Dollars.

13. Fire Spin (Fire)

• General Location: Hammerlocke Western Pokémon Center
• Specific Location: Purchase TM13 at the Hammerlocke western Pokémon Center for 10,000 Poké Dollars.

14. Thunder Wave (Electric)

• General Location: Wild Area (Nursery)
• Specific Location: Fly to Bridge Field, and play a game called Roto Rally. Please note that it does not matter which course you do just as long as you have completed it at least once!

15. Dig (Ground)

• General Location: Route 6
• Specific Location: TM15 can be found near a campsite by Cara Liss's fossil restoration site.

16. Screech (Normal)

• General Location: Circhester
• Specific Location: When entering Circhester, head right toward the fountain area, and you should see Snom near a hotel. Take the elevator, and it will be the first door on the right. Talk to the Hiker to obtain TM16.

17. Light Screen (Psychic)

• General Location: Motostoke Western Pokémon Center
• Specific Location: Purchase TM17 at the Motostoke Western Pokémon Center for 10,000 Poké Dollars.

18. Reflect (Psychic)

• General Location: Motostoke Western Pokémon Center
• Specific Location: Purchase TM18 at the Motostoke Western Pokémon Center for 10,000 Poké Dollars.

19. Safeguard (Normal)

20. Self-Destruct (Normal)

• General Location: Wyndon Battle Tower

21. Rest (Psychic)

• General Location: Ballonlea
• Specific Location: Near the Pokemon Center you should see a Chinchou sitting on some mushrooms. Follow the path left of the Pokémon Center, head south, and TM21 will be there.

22. Rock Slide (Rock)

• General Location: Route 9
• Specific Location: Fly to the Camp on Route 9, go down, and head left past a Black Belt; then, go down and immediately left.

23. Thief (Dark)

• General Location: Hammerlocke Western Pokémon Center
• Specific Location: Purchase TM23 at the Hammerlocke Western Pokémon Center for 10,000 Poké Dollars.

24. Snore (Normal)

• General Location: Glimwood Tangle
• Specific Location: Starting from Ballonlea, upon entering the Glimwood Tangle, head southwest, and you should see a Madame and a ledge section. TM24 is located there.

• Specific Location: Upon entering the Mine, follow the train tracks until you encounter a Female Miner; then, follow the path left to find TM26.

27. Icy Wind (Ice)

• General Location: Circhester
• Specific Location: Head north from the Pokémon Center and enter the first house on the left (Sword). Gift from Melony >upon her defeat (Shield).

28. Giga Drain (Grass)

• General Location: Wyndon Battle Tower
• Specific Location: Purchase TM28 at the Wyndon Battle Tower for 100,000 Poké Dollars.

29. Charm (Fairy)

• General Location: Hammerlocke
• Specific Location: From the western Pokémon Center, walk a little left and you will soon see a door with Raihan's emblem; enter it. After going up some stairs, it will be on the right side.

30. Steel Wing (Steel)

• General Location: Route 6
• Specific Location: From Stow-on-Side, head to Route 6. From here take the path on the right side and jump down those ledges to find TM30.

31. Attract (Normal)

• General Location: Route 5 Nursery
• Specific Location: Head immediately south from the Nursery.

32. Sandstorm (Rock)

• General Location: Hammerlocke Western Pokémon Center

38. Will-O-Wisp (Fire)

• General Location: Motostoke
• Specific Location: Gift from Kabu upon his defeat.

39. Facade (Normal)

• General Location: Wild Area (River Bank)
• Specific Location: From East Lake Axewell, head east and then head north to cross a bridge. Afterwards, you should see a pond of water. Head west from there.

40. Swift (Normal)

• General Location: Wedgehurst
• Specific Location: Received from Hop at Wedgehurst Station.

41. Helping Hand (Normal)

• General Location: Motostoke Western Pokémon Center
• Specific Location: Purchase TM41 at the Motostoke Western Pokémon Center for 10,000 Poké Dollars.

42. Revenge (Fighting)

• General Location: Stow-on-Side (Sword) and Ballonlea (Shield)
• Specific Location: Gift from Bea upon her defeat (Sword). Received from an elderly NPC in the second house in Ballonlea (Shield).

43. Brick Break (Fighting)

• General Location: Route 8
• Specific Location: From the Camp, head down left and look for a ladder. From here, follow the path to the left.

44. Imprison (Psychic)

• General Location: Wyndon Battle Tower
• Specific Location: Purchase TM44 at the Wyndon Battle Tower for 100,000 Poké Dollars.

45. Dive (Water)

• General Location: Route 9
• Specific Location: From Route 9, head southwest and west until you see two Swimmers. Talk to them to obtain TM45.

46. Weather Ball (Normal)

• General Location: Hammerlocke Eastern Pokémon Center
• Specific Location: Purchase TM46 at the Hammerlocke Eastern Pokémon Center for 30,000 Poké Dollars.

47. Fake Tears (Dark)

• General Location: Circhester
• Specific Location: Head east and look for Snom (enter hotel) and go onto the elevator. Go right and enter the second door to talk to the Musician.

48. Rock Tomb (Rock)

• General Location: Circhester
• Specific Location: Gift from Gordie upon his defeat (Sword). Follow the path right from the Pokémon Center and then go forward. Enter the first building on the left (Shield).

49. Sand Tomb (Ground)

• General Location: Galar Mine No. 2
• Specific Location: In Galar Mine No. 2. Follow the path and look for a Rail Staff Trainer. TM49 will be to the right.

50. Bullet Seed (Grass)

• General Location: Hammerlocke Western Pokémon Center

51. Icicle Spear (Ice)

• General Location: Circhester
• Specific Location: In Circhester, head to the hot spring. TM51 is found at the right side.

52. Bounce (Flying)

• General Location: Wyndon Battle Tower
• Specific Location: Purchase TM52 at the Wyndon Battle Tower for 100,000 Poké Dollars.

53. Mud Shot (Ground)

• General Location: Galar Mine No. 2
• Specific Location: Upon entering Galar Mine No. 2, follow the path until you see a second NPC (Worker); head right and then go forward, crossing the water. Requires Roto-bike (water).

54. Rock Blast (Rock)

• General Location: Route 3
• Specific Location: From Route 3, enter Galar Mine and follow the tracks until you reach a Worker. Follow the path within the Mine, which will bring you outside to TM54's location.

55. Brine (Water)

• General Location: Hammerlocke Western Pokémon Center
• Specific Location: Purchase TM55 at the Hammerlocke Western Pokémon Center for 10,000 Poké Dollars.

56. U-turn (Bug)

• General Location: Glimwood Tangle
• Specific Location: From Ballonlea, follow the path slightly down left, and you should see a Madame; follow the path and stay close to the left side.

57. Payback (Dark)

• General Location: Route 2
• Specific Location: Follow the path on the right side of the Professor's house; TM57 is found at the end.

58. Assurance (Dark)

• General Location: Route 7
• Specific Location: Look to your right near the campsite.

59. Fling (Dark)

• General Location: Wyndon Battle Tower

60. Power Swap (Psychic)

• Specific Location: After entering the Wild Area from the Hammerlocke Hills entrance, head right, and follow it until you see water. After entering the water, head to your right and then proceed forward.

66. Thunder Fang (Electric)

• General Location: Hammerlocke Eastern Pokémon Center
• Specific Location: Purchase TM66 at the Hammerlocke Eastern Pokémon Center for 30,000 Poké Dollars.

67. Ice Fang (Ice)

• General Location: Hammerlocke Eastern Pokémon Center

• General Location: Wild Area (Dusty Bowl)
• Specific Location: From Hammerlocke Hills, head left and follow the path until you can turn right to Dusty Bowl. Proceed forward until you see two ponds of water. Cross over the bigger pond (requires Roto-bike (water)) to pickup TM73.

74. Venoshock (Poison)

• General Location: Stow-on-Side
• Specific Location: Follow the path left upon entering Stow-on-Side (near Bronzong), head forward, and climb a few ladders.

75. Low Sweep (Fighting)

• General Location: Wild Area (Bridge Field)
• Specific Location: Fly to the Bridge Field area, go down, and proceed to your right. Requires Roto-bike (water).

76. Round (Normal)

• General Location: Motostoke Western Pokémon Center
• Specific Location: Purchase TM76 at the Motostoke Western Pokémon Center for 10,000 Poké Dollars.

77. Hex (Ghost)

• General Location: Ballonea (Sword) and Stow-on-Side (Shield)
• Specific Location: Second house from Pokémon Center (Sword). Gift from Allister upon his defeat (Shield).

78. Acrobatics (Flying)

• General Location: Ballonlea, after buying clothes in Hammerlocke
• Specific Location: Talk to the Artist west of the Pokémon Center. You need to dress up like a Fire-type Pokémon which requires you to purchase the following: Sports Travel Bag, Trackie Bottoms, Sport Sunglasses, Sport Cap, Tracksuit Jacket, and Fire Uniform.

79. Retaliate (Normal)

• General Location: Hulbury
• Specific Location: Hulbury Seafood Restaurant; walk a little bit to the right of the Pokémon Center.

80. Volt Switch (Electric)

• General Location: Wild Area (Bridge Field)
• Specific Location: Obtain a score of 20,000 or more in the Rotom Rally at Bridge Field. I recommend to upgrade your bike once or twice. The best advice is to avoid the Pokémon as much you can, as they can interfere with your speed. Be sure to hit every Speed Boost Balloon and Time Balloon.

81. Bulldoze (Ground)

• General Location: Wild Area (Giant's Seat)
• Specific Location: From East Lake Axewell, head down right to Giant's Seat.

82. Electroweb (Electric)

• General Location: Hulbury
• Specific Location: Found in Hulbury where you first encountered Nessa near the lighthouse.

83. Razor Shell (Water)

• General Location: Wyndon Battle Tower
• Specific Location: Purchase TM83 at the Wyndon Battle Tower for 100,000 Poké Dollars.

84. Tail Slap (Normal)

• General Location: Wild Area (Rolling Fields)
• Specific Location: Fly to the Meetup Spot, follow the side while staying close to the left wall to Rolling Fields; here, look for a fallen log.

85. Snarl (Dark)

• General Location: Spikemuth
• Specific Location: Gift from a Team Yell Grunt after defeating Piers.

86. Phantom Force (Ghost)

• General Location: Slumbering Weald
• Specific Location: Make your way through Slumbering Weald, and eventually you will come across two paths. Take the leftmost path and follow it closely to the right side up a log.

87. Draining Kiss (Fairy)

• General Location: Ballonlea
• Specific Location: Gift from Opal upon her defeat.

88. Grassy Terrain (Grass)

• General Location: Hammerlocke Eastern Pokémon Center
• Specific Location: Purchase TM88 at the Hammerlocke Eastern Pokémon Center for 20,000 Poké Dollars.

89. Misty Terrain (Fairy)

• General Location: Hammerlocke Eastern Pokémon Center

95. Air Slash (Flying)

• General Location: Wild Area (East Lake Axewell)
• Specific Location: Go immediately down from Lake Axewell, and use the Rotom Bike to cross over the water.

96. Smart Strike (Steel)

• General Location: Route 8
• Specific Location: Upon entering Route 8, take the first ladder, climb the second ladder, then go slightly right, down, and left.

97. Brutal Swing (Dark)

• General Location: Turffield
• Specific Location: Outside of the Pokémon Center, follow the path to the right of the center, then head left and follow the path to the tree.

98. Stomping Tantrum (Ground)

• General Location: Route 10
• Specific Location: Proceed up a large hill (covered in snow and forced Trainers) and stay close to the right side; TM98 will be there.

99. Breaking Swipe (Dragon)

• General Location: Hammerlocke
• Specific Location: Gift from Raihan upon his defeat.
